Nice

Nice peaceful site, wardens were really friendly and couldn't be more helpful, facilities were always clean and tidy, like the idea of the minibus from site but it wasn't running to a set schedule as it was quiet on site so didn't use it, plenty of places to walk to, and Edinburgh is a great place but need more time to explore it.

Great place for Famiies

Well kept, friendly staff and ideally situated to give you the peace and quiet away from Edinburgh but easy access into town or trip to the West or North Scotland. Will find all amenities clean and well maintained with plenty of space to relax on that holiday trip to Scotland.

Half Term Holiday Break

We had our 6 year old Granddaughter with us. We took the wrong portable TV. We didn't have the correct size of cable for the caravan. Luckily for us the very helpful Wardens found a spare one for us to use. The Wardens were working on their own as their Assistants were on a training course. Each and every time we came in contact with them they were always helpful and smiling. The lady warden was especially helpful in suggesting where to go to entertain our Granddaughter and suggested a family ticket to use on the buses would be cheaper. All in all the Wardens are an asset tongue site and the club. I wish more had their attitude to running a club site. I gave top marks for everything bar the quietness of the site. Unfortunately, there were a lot of airplanes flying over and we backed on to a busy road. This didn't affect the quality of our stay. Very good position for visiting Edinburgh. Will definitely be heading back there again!!

A1

Our second visit just as good as our first. Camp site fantastic, clean, well maintained, very helpful staff and an on site taxi service, absolutely amazing. In a great location close to beach and the city with an average taxi price of £9-£12 which is such good value for money as the bus is expensive and far slower. We cannot recommend this site enough.

Edinburgh Weekend

Lovely site and staff very helpful. Bus service to Edinburgh excellent. Only negative comment is that walk back to site after evening at theatre in Edinburgh is very dark with no street lights. I appreciate this is outwith CC's control. Good cycling with Sustrans Route 01 and 76 nearby. Enjoyed our weekend in Edinburgh

Weekend Wedding Anniversary Break

We had a lovely weekend break at The Edinburgh Caravan Park. This was our first visit to a Caravan Club Site and we were very impressed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also so enthusiastic about their jobs. The site was very tidy and well maintained. The toilets were all very clean and warm. So a 5 star review from us and would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely Staff

This was my first visit to a site in my motorhome and the staff were brilliantly helpful and understanding. They went out of their way to give advice and even spent nearly an hour trying to help me with my broken fire. I felt very looked after and at home. Big thank you to everyone there. The site was lovely, clean, quiet, well maintained. The only downside was the walk to the bus stop, which, after dark was rather hair-raising! Take a torch if you're going out in the evening using public transport. However, links to the city were really easy once you'd negotiated the dark road, and you could always fall back on the shuttle bus if you wanted/needed to avoid the walk altogether. There is a great path just across the road from the site along the waterfront which is perfect for roller skating, biking, scootering, walking, running etc. I would heartily recommend a stay at this site.

Excellent location for Edinburgh

Site and facilities excellent. Lovely cafe located on the beach - turn left on leaving the site - great for coffees, snacks and cakes. It's about a 10 minute walk and worth a visit. Taxibus from site is a great service but the local busses can be found just a 15 minute walk away - go right on leaving the site - and the fares are £1.60 per journey or £4.00 for an all day ticket. Fantastic value and the area the routes cover is vast from city to the coast. Hard to beat!

A fantastic site when visiting Edinburgh

This is a typically well maintained Caravan Club site with all the usual well kept facilities, there are a number of site wardens the majority were very knowledgeable and friendly but the head wardens seemed to be somewhat "regimental" (which was a shame) The site is set along side the Firth of Forth and has access to some lovely walks along the promenade and beach ,it is also a must for those that like planes as its set directly under the final approach to Edinburgh Airport (aircraft at about 1000 feet so not annoying) There is a local minibus service which provides an excellent half hourly service from the site into the city centre for £6 return (the driver gave us a guided tour with tons of information - bookable on 0131 552 3515) All in all its a great place to stay whilst visiting the fantastic city of Edinburgh.

Fabulous

We had Fantastic stay at this lovely site over the new year period and the weather was brilliant. Wardens really helpful. Excellent location opposite was a beach in which you could walk along or cycle it was great. Walked to Cramond island then back to the cafe which was lovely on the front. We visited Edinburgh which I must say was fabulous and the Christmas market was so good lots of mulled cider yummy, plus lots of food. The minibus from the site was brilliant service we used it on Friday 30th for the torch procession in Edinburgh which was brilliant. Then on new years EVE lovely guy and you new you had a lift back. We visited a few places Portobello which was nice , Aurthors seat , and Queensferry the forth bridge. All in all will definitely come back.
