On arrival and throughout our stay, the wardens were extremely helpful and friendly. The site was beautifully kept and the facilities were great. It would be helpful, though, if the code key pads weren't as high up as it was difficult for our tall six year old to get access to the toilet. We would certainly like to return in future.

Edinburgh

Great time here, the site is great. Arrived Friday night, up early and got minibus from site entrance, £6 return. 15mins to Edinburgh, loads to see and enjoy. Plenty of eating places and pubs. Booked again for Christmas lights and market.

Quiet in Edinburgh !

Spent last Sat to Mon on this lovely sight which was clean, tidy and well maintained. Surprisingly peaceful being so near to the city. No problems with aircraft. Watched the fireworks going up around us on Bonfire Night and then next day we were watching the squirrels playing in the park. The nearby Firth has lovely walks for dogs and sandy beach for the kids. Shops were quite a distance away but not an issue for us.

Edinburgh Nov 16

This is a great site, facilties are immaculate, warm and well looked after. great location for walking along sea front, getting a bus into town. I get a little fed up of members putting petty pathetic notes in the log, such as path to bus stop dirty/overgrown - that s nothing to do with the club- noise from aircraft, it is near airport but not like being near heathrow. This is a great site and we go to it on a regular basis.

Excellent Site, worth a visit!

We stayed at this site for the children's October half term. The wardens were friendly, helpful and kept the site in top condition. The shower block was always spotless, warm with lovely hot showers. The children said this site had one of the best play areas in all of the Caravan Club sites. We did find the air noise a bit annoying but a small price to pay when you are in a perfect location for getting into Edinburgh and surrounding area. We were lucky with the weather so spent more time on day trips to the highlands and surrounding areas as well as a day in town using the excellent bus service.  As it was half term, I took the children to the local pool which had great facilities with both a sauna and hot tub for adults. The children were disappointed that the play area on site was shut for a couple of days due to tree cutting. I thought the timing of this was poor considering it was half term and as families we are always paying peak prices for having to go away in half term and would expect the children's facilities to be open for the whole of our stay. Please think about this in advance Caravan Club!  Overall, I would rate this as a wonderful site and we would definitely return here - shame it's so far for us to come! Edinburgh is a lovely city to visit and there is a lot to do indoors if the weather is bad. There is also loads to do in good weather which is what we enjoyed!

Last week of the year

Enjoyed a lovely week yet again at this great site.  Wardens so friendly and helpful yet again.  Only mistake I made was we left a day early everyone else gains an extra hour in be I loose a day.  Shame you don't get a refund for the silly mistake or even credited for the next booking

Great Week

Visited this site from Sun 23 to Fri 28 Oct.( 5 Nights) I could not find fault with this site. From arriving to leaving we enjoyed the place. Its ideally located for our cycle rides, the bus stop is only a few minutes walk away and the miles of promenade even closer. The wardens were really friendly and helpful, above and beyond we thought. we will be back, next time with the dogs as it is the perfect place to bring them. as regards the aircraft noise, it did not bother us in the slightest, if anything watching the planes made it all the more interesting place to be. It has to be a score of 10/10 for the site and the all the wardens.

loved by all

went to edinburgh during our october break from school had a brill time. site was perfect for us as we like cycling, great rout on cycle way to city centre. site was beautifully clean & tidy, toilet block was amazing when you walked in it was so warm always clean & plenty of hot water. Also Edinburgh park run was just a short walk down on the sea front. Plenty to see & do in Edinburgh for both kids and adults. The museums were great & free & interactive could spend all week there & not see it all. Will definitely be back at some point. Highly recommend this site & the staff were so friendly & helpful.
