Pleasant woodland site
Need to drive all round site before selecting pitch as sizes vary. Quite a treck up hill from lake to top of site. Lake not as close as expected. Can unload car/trailer in camping field next to lake but must take car back to parking area within Park Coppice. Nice walks to Coniston which has pubs, cafes and few shops. Nothing but 2 pubs at Trover but easy off road walk. Everything up to CC standards facility wise, nice relaxed atmosphere on site as not regimented due to pitches being in glades between trees. All hard standing so not too bad underfoot when wet. Key required for toilet blocks which is frustrating if you forget to take it, especially in the rain, as some pitches are a distance away. Key pad type security as used on drying room would be better. Lake is popular but not overcrowded even on sunny days/weekend in August. Well worth a visit.
