First time visit
Just a quick 2 night visit and we were not disappointed .The site is huge with well spaced out pitches , some are a bit sloping so take your ramps.
Facilities are excellent and include a drying room which comes in handy . Wardens are very helpful and nothing was too much trouble . Access to Coniston is better along the lake as the road has no footpaths and the designated footpath across the fields was flooded when we were there . The Ship Inn is dog friendly and serves great food . As mentioned in the site leaflet the access road A5092 is very narrow in places , so take care .
