Favourite site

Have just spent four days at Cirencester our third time this year as its only 40mins from Evesham.  We do love it here, and this time we pitched on hard standing nearer the college.  Yes it was bit noisy and dusty but we were aware of this and the diggers and hard hats were put down at 4 on Friday aft and all quiet at the weekend.  Ted loves to sit outside and watch everyone go by and always excited if anyone stops and says hello to him.  We had some lovely neighbours this time, esp Lola the dogs mum and dad.  Had a laugh and that's what life is about.  Shame we never got to say goodbye.  Walked into Cirencester through the Bathurst estate,  always so pretty, and also cycled along the road with Ted in his chariot (about 10 mins). The butchers in the little arcade sells the most amazing sausage rolls, a meal in theirselves.  We do love Cirencester club site, always clean, we even stayed an extra night as the weather was lovely.  We wil be back soon. ??

Don't expect any privacy on this site

Finding the site wasn't easy as the signs are thoughtfully located after you have made the turn. The entrance road into the site is littered with large potholes which are big enough to damage a caravan. I know the road may not be owned by the Caravan Club but somebody should definitely fill the potholes in.  However that's not the biggest issue on the site. No that's the inconsiderate campers who walk across my pitch to get to the toilet block. Of the thirty approx people who did this I was constantly surprised by the number who fell over the electric hook up cable. Are they really that stupid they don't realise it's there. Unbelievable. Will I be back? Not likely. If I wanted to drive my caravan across a pothole strewn road I'll stay at a CL for a fraction of the price. If I wanted my pitch, which I have paid good money for, walked across by bad mannered idiots I would stay at a motorway service station.

Lovely except for the lazy campers!

This is a lovely site, beautifully situated and has excellent wardens who work hard at keeping the site looking good. Therefore it is such a pity other selfish lazy campers found me picking up after them - strewn rubbish left outside for foxes to shred, dog poo, these people would be the first to moan if the facilities weren't clean. Try and remember facilities is the whole site, the grass, the pitches and CLEAR UP DURING AND AFTER YOUR STAY so everyone can enjoy themselves!

Overzealous Warden

This is our bolt-hole where we go to escape our busy lives and unwind. We have stayed at Cirencester on numerous occasions without incident and always had a great time whatever the weather. On a recent 8 night stay, we moved pitch part way through from hard standing to grass as the weather was so good and it afforded us more room. As we had an awning, my wife moved some items to the new pitch to secure it to avoid it being taken whilst I was in the process of taking down the awning. This process took me approximately 45 minutes during which a rather overzealous warden accosted my wife at the new pitch and dictated to her that she wasn't allowed to reserve a pitch. When my wife tried to explain, the warden became very obtuse and kept saying "No, No, No, No buts" My wife returned to our caravan feeling very upset and angry at his attitude. This has somewhat soured our opinion of the wardens at Cirencester Park. We will return, but were disappointed by this engagement.

Great weekend despite the weather

Our first weekend away in our new (to us) motorhome, and couldn't fault the site.  Friendly and helpful wardens and reception staff, good facilities for  our dogs, plenty of room on the pitches, and a short walk into Cirencester which is a lovely town to visit.  Showers were lovely and hot, and the site as a whole was very neat and tidy, with plenty of trees for shade if the sun does decide to come out!  Despite all the rain, our grass pitch was still firm underfoot. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Great weekend

Had a great weekend despite the rain! Won some poo bags at the charity coffee morning and our friends won a meal in a local pub, which they shared with us. Thank you to the wardens who allowed us to stay on our pitches for us all to have the meal before departure. Shower and toilet facilities immaculate with plenty of hot water. A lovely location and not having to use the car all weekend was brilliant. The walk into Cirencester through the Bathurst estate is stunning. Going back for August Bank holiday and hoping the weather will be a bit kinder to us. The rating the for families is mid range as we do not have children, however the dog loved it!

Worth another visit

Lovely clean and tidy site with good facilities. Did not have much time to explore the area around Cirencester, but it is a very pleasant market town with lots of character. We will visit again :-) PS - We had no problem with the waste bins ;-)

Industrial waste bins

Difficult to use - need 2 hands to raise lid, so hard to lift rubbish into bin, and lids are very heavy to lift. Dust billows into face as lid is lowered. Often much further to walk than when bins are at water point. Small bin lids can be lifted by handle, which seems much cleaner tnan trying to lift large bins by very dirty edges. Please return to small bins at water points.

Waste Bins

Had a lovely stay at Cirencester Park.  Fantastic walk and clean washrooms. The only fly in the oitment was having to walk down to the toilet block nearest to reception through really dirty "smiths waste bins" which were smelly and horribly dirty to use.

Lovely site

Probably our favourite site, due mainly to proximity of Cirencester Town centre with such a lot to see and the pleasant walk there through the Bathurst Estate (about 15 minutes). Taxi ride back costs £3.50 if necessary. But also the site with its generous pitch sizes and super clean facilities. It's a big site so a map is handy on arrival. Cannot recommend the site and position highly enough.
