Road rage

Toilet blocks well kept and clean. Friendly and helpful wardens. Hardstandings seemed to be various sizes with some defined as with awning pitches that a large awning just would'nt fit. The site is well located for Cirencester. The biggest issue we had was trying to avoid the potholes in the access road even without the van in tow. Perhaps there should be a warning on the club site advising of the poor condition.

Great

Don't believe what you read in some of the below. The road in is fine if you take care, its short as well. No building work during this May bank Holiday weekend, but you don't have to pitch next to the site. Massive dog walk, lots of friendly dog owners, is well drained with tarmac strip for the feet dry types. Massive play area for football or cricket, kite flying etc. Smaller play area with swings. Grass pitches well drained, hard standing pitches seem ok. Wardens fab. Water temperature can cycle if you aren't carefull. Facilities refurbished 2years ago and therefore as new. Town a short walk via the estate. We will be back. Great place. Watch out for people using cruise control on the Fosse Way, its hilly, we got stuck behind some idiot crawling up the many hills on this road. It may be Roman and therefore strait but flat it aint!!

well run site

We visited this site over weekend of May 1st and despite being very full it was very clean tidy and well organised. The wardens were very hardworking and organised. We did stay a couple of weekends ago hence our return as it was excellent. I did see another reviewers comment regarding the shower temperature changing from hot to cold and this did happen to me on one occasion but other times it was fine. I agree you may need a site map to find your way around but this is provided. There were a lot of dogs on site ours included and the walk and dog play area was excellent. All the dog owners we met were responsible and cleared up immediately after their dogs and they could run around and play in a completely separate field to children. All dogs were on leads and barking was minimal. We love the area and will make our third visit soon.

Relaxing and thank you

I would like to say a huge thank you to the kind wardens on site today (May bank holiday). My son was playing the play area and suffered a minor injury on the swings, the wardens were so helpful in administering first aid on site and directing us to the local Cirencester A&E, they were calm and so thoughtful, putting my 11 year old son at ease, whilst mom was a bit frantic and said it will all be okay, I would like to say again thank you for your assistance along with what was a wonderful, relaxing bank holiday weekend, thank you again.

Shower Block 2 (furthest from Reception)

We were at the site on pitch 155 from 1st May for 3 nights. When using the showers in the nearest block to our pitch we were dissatisfied with the fact that the temperature went from hot to almost cold 6-7 times during the course of our stay. I used the men's and my wife used the ladies and we both had the same experience. I has discussed this with one of the wardens twice during our stay and he assured me that the showers had thermostatic controls and it was unlikely, however that was not our experience or that of our friends with whom we spent the weekend.

May Day weekend

Great weekend at Cirencester site, the only thing that could be a bit better is the signage once you turn into the private road. The site is better than the usual caravan club standard, toilet block is very clean and the wardens are very helpful. The walk into Cirencester through Cirencester Park is wonderful. Just wished this site was a bit closer to home – we would use this site for more weekends. Caravan club keep up the good work.

Excellent location, pleasant site next to a park

We stayed here with a campervan, just two of us, so I can't comment on how good this site is for families, so have put just one star. We shall definitely visit again. We had a grass pitch. The pitch was large enough - not huge. It's in a quiet position, only just outside Cirencester, right next to the ring road so access is easy. We walked into the Fleece (for an excellent evening meal) in the market square in just under 20 minutes. I understand that it's quicker to get into Cirencester through the park during the day. The walk into Cirencester passes a leisure centre and supermarket. Cirencester is a lovely town to explore: interesting historically and good shops. We enjoyed a lovely walk nearby at Sapperton through the Bathurst Estate woods - full of bluebells at this time of year. A friendly welcome, and clean, good facilities. A great base for exploring the Cotswolds.

Very Disappointing

We found this site very disappointing. Totally disinterested and unhelpful welcome. Most hard-standing pitches seem 'mean' (very narrow), and at all angles bar flat. If you are in a continental 'van the extreme placing of the pitch markers means you have to step out onto grass whilst half your pitch goes unused. The 'service points' aren't; just fresh and grey water, no toilet point, no bins. For those you have to trudge to the facilities blocks. And who gave the warden a laminator for Christmas?; I've never so seen so many unnecessary d-i-y- notices plastered everywhere - totally overpowering. The play area has nothing at all for children, just grass and a boules court. To top it all, when you eventually work out how to get off site you get embroiled in bushes getting out of the 'van to operate the exit barrier. As I said, a very disappointing experience.

Lovely site will return

This is a great site in lovely location. Close to park and town centre. Very friendly wardens, clean facilities. Very dog friendly more dogs here than at crufts! Great dog field and children's play area. Entrance road bit bumpy with van. Will definitely return.
