The site is situated about a 15 minute walk from Cheshire Oaks retail park as well as near to motorways to Wrexham, Liverpool, North Wales and Manchester. A level site with all the usual Caravan Club facilities. There tends to be background traffic noise during daylight hours.
Well run site, easy to get in with helpful staff
Arrived on a hot sunny day, the staff got us quickly through and we pitched up easily. It's a nice site but a little tight on space. The facilities are very well looked after and a central to the site. It seems a very popular site and will be back as well located for the surrounding cities and shops.

Getting around
Very central site to get to Chester , Liverpool and Cheshire oaks , wanted to leave an in-depth report on getting to these areas .You will need the x1 bus to get to Chester and Liverpool , this bus stop you will find at Mc carthur Glen outlet opposite the Clark’s shop . It’s about a 7 minute walk from the site , not too far . Go up the lane from the site , the harvester pub and restaurant will be directly in front , turn right , walk straight down and you will then see the large sign for MacArthur glen outlet , ……..go in towards the outlet and beer left again for the outlet , it’s sounds confusing but it’s not when you see it . Look for the Clark’s store and in front you will see the yellow bus stop , they run every half an hour , get the x1 not the 1 , as it’s a direct bus . Chester is roughly 15 mins ,Chester zoo , 6 mins , Liverpool 1 hour , buses run quite late so you can drink and be Merry in either place and come home safe . If not , two restaurants are at the top of the lane , and lots more in the outlet centre or a short walk further in the coliseum area , where they also have a cinema . For shopaholics the outlet is to die for . Hope this helps .

enjoyable
Stayed at fairoaks for 5 nights. It's a lovely clean and quiet site, as it was mid term only saw a couple of children. It's a pleasant walk up the lane to a busy main road, but need to be careful as no footpaths. A reasonable walk to the shopping outlet, where you will find plenty of places to eat, also there is a Vue cinema. Also a massive amount of shops on a very large area. Manage to find bus stops at the outlet, which are very good. Chester city is a beautiful city to visit, outstanding buildings. Definitely intend to stay at fairoaks again in the future.
Excellent site and location
My wife and I stayed on this site for the first time last week (end of May 2021) and found it to be very pleasant.
The staff (Cheryl) was lovely and helpful on all contacts we had witrh her.
The site is well laid out and very clean and tidy, and is ideally located for trips out into Chester itself, Liverpool and North Wales.
During our mid week visit there were no or very few children, but I would say about 80% of people staying had a dog/s.
It is a shame that whilst there is a dog walking area, some dog owners just opened the caravan door in the morning and let the dogs out to poo on the grass (even though they came and picked it up). As we have young grandchildren we are concious that we dont want them playing where dogs have done there business.
Other than that, all good.
Plenty to see and do
With the huge Cheshire Oaks outlet village just up the road, as well as the historic city of Chester and the big draw - Chester Zoo - one of the world's top conservation zoos, it's difficult to get bored here.
Just off the motorway network, but up a country lane, it's quieter than you think, and well organised.

Post Lockdown Getaway
Just back from a two night (Sat - Mon) stay, less than a fortnight after the long awaited April 12th national site reopening.
After seeing all the drama and debate on the site's Facebook group, was wondering what to expect - but as it happened all was well. For those travelling in the near future, be reassured the toilet blocks are open with a token system restricting access to four people at any one time - no real problem providing people remember to put the tokens back, and no showers in use as widely advertised. Dishwashing facilities were still in use. One point to note is that the chemical toilet point at the toilet block was closed, but the open air point nearer the entrance was in use... Bit further to carry the cassette.
Other than that a lovely peaceful weekend even with the site being full on the Saturday night. Sitting outside there is faint motorway noise, but drowned out by the birds singing. Site feels more spacious than some of the pictures suggest, bright and airy.
Walking distance from the Cheshire Oaks complex with Sainsburys, Costa, KFC, McDonalds etc and the Harvester restaurant. For your BBQ meat though can recommend Lime Tree Farm Shop - head towards the main road, turn first left after the Harvester and before Cheshire Oaks.
Close to the retail park
This was a clean and tidy park near to the retail park. Some of the walk to the retail park had no footpath so please be aware. The showers and toilets were very clean and the wrist band system was well organised. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Uber eats delivers to the site.
First night away
Stayed here for our first night in our motorhome. The night was a bit of a disaster but that was due to a problem with the van and certainly not the site.
We were very impressed with the level of cleanliness and also the organisation to ensure everyone's safety. The team on site were making a massive effort to ensure the highest possible standards and should really be commended.
The team were also very helpful bearing in mind our novice status!
The location is lovely - very quiet but very close to Chester, Chester Zoo and Cheshire Oaks shopping centres.
There din\t seem a lot to do for families on site but we didn't have children with us.
Highly recommended.
