Shopping visit

Must be a haven for a shopaholic . Designer outlet, Coliseum shopping and largest eco-friendly M&S. Express bus to Liverpool One and nearby Chester and its Cathedral. New toilet block excellent plus welcoming Wardens. Only downside M53 road noise and buzzing from power lines.

Xmas Shopping Base

Excellent location for shops at Designer outlet and adjacent Shopping site with Cinema and Restaurants. Close to Park & Ride for Chester which is beautiful and well worth an explore. Site very good with upgraded toilet block which is a joy on a cold windy day being warm, roomy and with music. Wife wondered where I had got to one day when I was having a shower!!! Warm welcome from wardens on arrival always a good start.

1st Class Site

My wife and I took my mother in law for a weekend break to Chester Fairoaks Club Site, starting Friday 13th, not a good sign, however the settings could not be better, good pitches, the toilet block extremely modern and clean with piped music. The weather was not very pleasant with high winds and rain, which did not detract from the pleasant and enjoyable time we had. The whole site is well laid out, even a dog walking paddock, local pub just down the road. A short walk takes you to all the shops and stores you can imagine. 1st class.

Great Location

Just returned on Saturday 14th November from this lovely site. As we are motorhomers ,we found the site to be in a great position. Cheshire Oaks shopping centre just 15 minutes walk, Sainsbury's supermarket there too. Had no problem walking up Rake Lane from the site just use common sense to meet oncoming traffic and be visible in the dark. Marks and Spencer just another 5 minutes up the road from the other shops is superb, never been in such a big one, our store would fit twice into the foodhall alone. Wardens very friendly, everything well kept and clean, love radio 2 in the toilet block. We did not need to use levellers, tv reception was one of the best we have found just put up the aerial and we had all stations first tuning.Planes going over were a treat especially the huge Beluga.Bus into Chester was great took you to the zoo on the way, city walls a real treat, we will be back, next time a trip on the bus to Liverpool, plus back to the 148+ shops!!!!

A good base when the weather is poor

This is a great site as a base for visiting the Wirral and Merseyside or a trip into North Wales. Chester Zoo is only a few minutes away and an aquarium only half a mile away. The adjacent designer outlet and retail park has everything you need from a supermarket , designer shops, restaurants , cinema, large retail shops and children's play areas and seasonal activities. A good place to go when the weather is poor and you want things to do.  The site itself is easy to access and although the motorway can be heard at times it's not much of a problem really.  Electric pylons spoil the outlook but to  the South but I can't say they bothered me.

November 2015

Our first stay at a club site since joining the Club. Very impressed with the cleanliness of all facilities and site in general. The Wardens were very helpful. We visited Chester and Liverpool by bus which was very easy and inexpensive. 3 pubs within 10 mins walk. We used the high-viz jackets we keep in the van for breakdowns etc to walk down the lane to the site after dark. We will be back but it's Abbey Wood for us next, can't wait.

Retail Therapy

Had a 4 night stay here just early November. Site is easily accessed from the motorway but this leads to some constant background noise. Site and facilities are very clean. Wardens friendly and busy. Area is great for shopping with Cheshire Oaks Outlet on doorstep and Chester very close. Walking the walls in Chester a must. The Wirral - west side - also worth a visit. Loved the Marine Lake at West Kirby. The Rake pub along the lane is ideal for cheap grub and a decent pint.

Two night stay

Stopped here to visit relatives nearby, we were massively impressed by the cleanliness of the site and although the weather wasn't good we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return here probably next spring. The only down side was that a farmer had been treating the fields nearby and the smell was very countryfide, if you know what we mean.

W/end 29/10 to 2/11

Toilet block recently refurbished now superb. Showers work really well and must be economical to run. The pitches appear to have much improved drainage. A nice site conveniently located next to Cheshire Oaks. Wardens very pleasant and maintain the site really well. Enjoyed our stay and will return again. Only complaint it is very difficult to book a pitch as the site is so popular!
