Retail Therapy

Had a 4 night stay here just early November. Site is easily accessed from the motorway but this leads to some constant background noise. Site and facilities are very clean. Wardens friendly and busy. Area is great for shopping with Cheshire Oaks Outlet on doorstep and Chester very close. Walking the walls in Chester a must. The Wirral - west side - also worth a visit. Loved the Marine Lake at West Kirby. The Rake pub along the lane is ideal for cheap grub and a decent pint.

Two night stay

Stopped here to visit relatives nearby, we were massively impressed by the cleanliness of the site and although the weather wasn't good we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return here probably next spring. The only down side was that a farmer had been treating the fields nearby and the smell was very countryfide, if you know what we mean.

W/end 29/10 to 2/11

Toilet block recently refurbished now superb. Showers work really well and must be economical to run. The pitches appear to have much improved drainage. A nice site conveniently located next to Cheshire Oaks. Wardens very pleasant and maintain the site really well. Enjoyed our stay and will return again. Only complaint it is very difficult to book a pitch as the site is so popular!

chester fairoaks

this site is very easy to find straight off the motorway and nearly opposite cheshire oaks. there are pubs and shops very close by so no need to use the car, albeit the road where the site is is narrow and no footpath so take care with youngsters.. the site is very well laid out and super clean. the toilet block has been refurbished and it is now a pleasure to use... no queueing even when the site was full.. the wifi failed to work for about 4 days out of 5 on our stay so we had one grumpy teenager but on the whole was a great stay..some road noise overnight but is to be expected from the close proximity to the motorway. chip van calling was good and cheap. great info centre and wardens were very helpful. we will be back.....

Caravanner from Blantyre, Scotland.

Enjoyed our two plus week stay.  The site was very tidy and the toilets had been upgraded.   the only problem was the pressure of water in hand basin was just about none existent and the shower water was not very hot a small adjustment required, other than that they were very good.  The location of the site is very good within walking distance of good eating places and very good for the the Chester Oaks outlet.   Also only short drive to park and ride and Chester Zoo.  Visited Liverpool,  Ellesmere Port and Chester. The Wifi was not good it took quite a wee while for  it to load a web page.  I like the site and would definately visit it again, and would advise others to visit.

Convenient

This site is very convenient for the Massive retail outlet Cheshire Oaks, just a 10 minute walk away. The site is clean level and very peaceful, surrounded by trees. Facilities are up to Caravan Club Standards, very clean and warm. The worst thing is the WIFI it is just a bit better than useless, which is a shame, very very very slow to load a web page. This may not be important to most people but to some it is very important. The area is very nice and being close to Chester, or the towns on Wirral peninsula, you can't go wrong for places to visit. This would have been a 5 star review but the WIFI lets it down.

Peace and quiet

Arrived on Sunday just after lunch and welcomed by two smiling wardens. Good start to a break. Picked my own pitch and then had a drive round Chester finishing at the Grosvenor Garden Centre, all conveniently close. Regarding the site itself, its level, the toilets are spotless (and been upgraded since our last visit) and a chip van comes on Monday evenings (Huge portions, with hindsight one bag of chips would have done both of us). Lovely spot for local visiting - Chester, Colliseum (very enjoyable) Cheshire Oaks outlet (not as exciting as last time we visited) Llandudno in less than an hour and Blakemere Garden Centre (good food there, see trip advisor). Our only downside is getting out of Rake Lane turning right towards the motorway - may pay to turn left and go to the roundabout and then come back, but all in all, a great 4 night break.

Super Stay

Excellent facilities, beautifully kept, close to  a wide variety of activities and places of interest.  We spent seven nights enjoying the site and surrounding area, venturing to Llandudno, Liverpool, Ellesmere Port  and Chester. Restaurant within five minutes walk from the site.  Well worth a visit to this beautiful site.
