Chester 5 star

A well-designed and beautifully kept site, easy to access and well placed for access to many local attractions. Understandably, it is always popular!

Flooding

Site was very clean with great showers and spotless toilets . The public transport and shopping very close by . Weather was mixed when we arrived on 25th June for 7days we could see the site had quite a lot of retain prior to our arrival .We pitched up on number 57 and all was well untill the heavens opened up and we were completely flooded out we were prisoners in the van as we did not have wellies with us . As we had two dogs with us they had to get out so we had to take our socks of and go ut in our flip flops the dogs thought this was a pond to swim in . What l was disappointed in was the fact the weather forecast was for heavy rain that week and l would have thought that the wardens would have told about this pitch flooding as it has been reported before about flooding . No one from the office even came to see we were alright and when l went down to ask a warden for a brush to try and clear the water he sad yes if it's still there tomorrow l could get one . A couple across from our pitch let us dry out our ground sheet and mat at the side of their van. So beware stay away from 57 the wades said a lot were flooded and it was not just me but l walked round the site and saw 3 pitches flooded.

motorhome problems

Stayed on this site for seven days in June 16. Beautifully clean, toilet block immaculate. Wardens really very nice. Only problem? Motorhomes. We were near to the motorhome service point, and the general water and waste point near to the exit. Why do motorhome owners have to leave their engines running, some very smoky and noisy, whilst they empty and refill their tanks, sometimes taking 10 to 15 minutes. Do they not think of other people who are sitting eating or relaxing? Then they are not satisfied with using just the motorhome waste points, they use all of the water and waste units, often waiting in line, but of course still leaving their engines running. Please motorhome owners, think of others.

A little jewel

a delightful site in a rural setting within walking distance to a shoppers paradise and a stones throw from the motor way and yet it was peaceful, tranquil and so clean, pretty with friendly staff.  I would definitely return, we felt like we had been on holiday.....we only live 8 miles away, but we needed to test the van:  it was an excellent choice.

OVERNIGHT STOPOVER

We only stayed the one night as a stopover on journey to Oxford. The site is spacious, clean and well landscaped with generous sized pitches. Facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean having been recently upgraded. Site is ideally located for Cheshire Oaks Retail Park, Chester, Liverpool and North Wales. There are at least 2 pubs within a very short walking distance. My only negative comment would be that we came across the least helpful wardens we have ever encountered on any site whether Club or Private. We had a problem with our electrics and the wardens were not helpful at all. When we got to the Club Site at Oxford we again approached the wardens regarding the problem and they were brilliant and helped resolve the issue.

Regular visitors

Visit June 2016. Site busy as ever but this is because of it being right. A good well spaced flat site with hard standing pitches, well maintained with friendly wardens. Good for visiting the city, touring the area or shopping in the outlet shops which takes the best part of a day due to the size of the centre. There is a Sainsburys supermarket with petrol station handy and a good selection of pubs close by. You can just here the traffic on the motorway but not enough to disturb us.

Chester Fairoaks

Excellent site with spotlessly clean facilities and site generally. Very good location for eating, shopping and only a short bus ride to zoo and Chester itself. Highly recommend.

Good site

Good site. Ideal for shops, eating places. Shower block top class best around. Just wish we had known prone to flooding, our awning mat was ruined and our new air awning ended with a split. But would return and hopefully the weather is better.
