Nice break

Stayed here for 4 nights. Site is in a good location, near to motorway links but is still quiet. Facilities and staff are excellent. The shower block looked new and I loved that it played music. Even though the site was full it did not seem busy. Good stay.

Nice Site

Had not stopped hear for some years found the Wardens very friendly and the site in very good condition no doubt down to their hard work. The Toilet/shower block had been modernised since our last visit and the new showers fantastic. Only down side no fault of anyone on visiting the toilets on the first morning found one toilet flush not working and the next cubicle no paper but no doubt this would have soon been rectified.

Weeks Break

Very clean and well maintained site, the toilet block was the cleanest we have come across on caravan club sites. it is a good site for touring we found the traffic no problem it is only a short ride to the Chester park and ride and Zoo, the Oaks designer shopping center and super market are within walking distance We would stay at this site again. This is a great site for families with plenty of grass and a play park. Found television reception poor and not as stated in the club book as being good all we could get was I.T.V. Wales

4 night stay

Lovely site with exceptional facilities which were spotlessly clean. Great location for exploring the surrounding areas. Nice pub/ restaurant called the Rake within a five minute stroll which was nice, reasonably priced and you get 10% discount of all food with your caravan club card. Although it's in a busy area, it was lovely and peaceful at night . Would stay here again.

A good choice

Used this site primarily to attend Carfest north but also to visit other places nearby such as Port Sunlight and Chester. Surprisingly rural and quiet as it is near busy urban areas and roads ,you need to allow for heavy traffic on journeys . Really clean and well maintained with great staff .It was full when we stayed and had lots of families with small children who enjoyed the play area.It was a very pleasant weekend and ideal as a base for our activities.

Good location

On approaching the site my heart was sinking as it's amongst a network of very busy noisy roads, but at the last minute we turned down a lane and were immediately in a lovely rural spot! The site is typical CC, i.e. immaculate with good facilities. It's in a good location for catching a bus to Chester (2 mile complete roman wall) and Liverpool and driving through North Wales. We booked a dog sitter to have our two dogs for the day when we went to Liverpool, which was great so we could visit museums, the Eye and have a rather jolly boozy lunch in a restaurant which would not have been possible with the dogs. She even dropped the dogs back at the site for an extra fiver, so all good. We were sited next to some tall trees so the TV reception in the evening not great but not a huge problem. Port Sunlight which is up the road is definitely worth a visit even though it sounds like it might be a bit dull - it really isn't - it even has a lovely free art gallery, which is currently exhibiting Picasso.

Still room for Improvement

Just had a week with a grandchild. Had great time. So many things to see and do and easy access into Wales, The Wirral, Liverpool, and Manchester. Have stayed many times before and will be staying twice more this year. Play Area and Toilets are excellent. So is the Info Room, and the Wardens are always helpful. However this site is is like many in the network. It has many facilities for the disabled caravanner but fails to recognise that many users whilst not disabled are getting a little old and infirm. For example access to the toilets are now from one side only. So you have a long walk round. There could be a path through to the office via Late N Arrivals to save a long walk round. Also why can something not be done to the road surface. The puddles that come with rain are a damn nuisance. Some are so deep the go over the top of children's shoes. TV is also very poor one some pitches behind trees. How about spending a bit of the profits for even more 'improvements'? At £5 per night peak season I expect a bit more perfection.

July stay in motorhome.

A top rated site with some large pitches. Great for touring the area with a nearby bus service going from Chester to Liverpool. Only downside is unless you have a local bus pass you have to pay if you wish to travel into Wales.

Great site in excellent location

This is our second visit to this site and we enjoyed it enormously. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the site is in an excellent location close to three pubs/restaurants and only a short walk to the shopping outlet and bus links that can take passengers to Chester via the zoo. Plenty to see and do. We will definitely return again .

One of The Best

When we arrived at Chester Fairoaks we were immediately impressed. It's immaculate. The welcome from the warden was first class - polite and helpful with a smile. The facilities are outstanding. Cleanliness is the best we have ever experienced. At every visit they were immaculate. The abundance of trees and foliage give the site more character than most of the CC sites and our children (5 & 2) loved the open grass areas and the playground too. The convenience of the local pubs, shops and other attractions is a huge bonus. The site is literally down the road from Chester Zoo and several folks on the site were spotted walking back from Cheshire Oaks. I have one criticism - the ground beneath the hard-standing on our pitch was almost impenetrable. I struggled to get rock pegs into the main awning fastenings and gave up with the skirt pegs. Shame that the ground beneath the gravel wasn't a little softer. Would highly recommend the site for visiting Chester, Liverpool and Manchester and all the North West has to offer.
