First time but not the Last!

This was our first visit to the Chester Fair Oaks site The site is first class. Spotlessly clean, very friendly staff and a fabulous location. There are three pubs just down the road from the site which all serve food. The Rake Pub has a wonderful beer garden and is ideal for children and is the nearest one to the site! You can easily walk to the Macarthur Glen shops and Sainsburys. The bus stops are at Macarthur Glen for Liverpool and Birkenhead and Chester. We caught the X8 Express to Liverpool and had a fabulous day there. Noteworthy is the fact that if you don't wish to walk to the bus stop you can take your car and park free all day and leave it there then catch the bus. The Chester bus actually goes into Chester Zoo site. The only slight downside is the traffic noise which you can hear but definitely not enough to cause you a lack of sleep. We will definitely be back to this site in the future.

First Time Here

We have recently joined the caravan club and decided to book in to Chester Fairoaks to break up the journey overnight from South Wales to the Lakes. First impressions were excellent, efficient check in and all information needed given. We stayed on a Monday night and this is when the fish and chip van visits, beautiful cod and chips freshly cooked as you wait. Shower block was immaculate and the staff should be proud of their standards of cleanliness. Overall well kept site with excellent facilities and friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Chester

Stayed 7 nights. Lovely site, well kept with clean and cared for toilet block. Friendly staff. Only problem were the dogs, many, mostly well behaved but let down as usual by one or two. Woken at 6.15am by dog bark never more than 10 minutes elapsed without one or other barking in the day time and still going at 10.15pm, not constantly, just enough to let us know we were surrounded by dogs. I can't make up my mind whether dog owners should be charged for their pets or other members should get a discount! The other problem was people walking through our pitch as a shortcut to toilet block,we were behind the block and I had to have words with one chap who to get to the sluice actually moved our chairs to get past,so I rollicked him,he didnt think he had done anything wrong until I pointed out it was unwritten law that you didnt do it.Some selfish people just dont care.

Super site.

Stayed 5 nights. Lovely site, well kept with clean and cared for toilet block. Friendly staff. Only problem were the dogs, very many, mostly well behaved but let down as usual by one or two. Woken at 6.15am by dog bark never more than 10 minutes elapsed without one or other barking in the day time and still going at 10.15pm, not constantly, just enough to let us know we were surrounded by dogs, eleven of them in fact within 25yards! One person we saw allowed their dog to urinate on the hard stand and in the evening poo on the grass at the back of their caravan, they followed it around at night with a torch and a bag to pick up the consequences. Never once saw a dog in the exercise/ toilet area. I can't make up my mind whether dog owners should be charged for their pets or other members should get a discount! They certainly took the shine off our visit and that of the van next to us.

Brilliant site

This is by far one of the best club sites. We have just finished yet another very enjoyable stay here. The wardens are very hard working, pleasant and helpful. The site and shower blocks are very, very clean and extremely well looked after. We enjoy the openness of the site which is in a good location. There is plenty to do in the area.

excellent site

when are all site going to be as good as chester, friendly wardens, good pitches, like how water taps are on service points, excellent facilities, could we have a grab rail under all the shower heads for us oldies and the younger ones to hold onto to stop us slipping. just a moan black mould in corner of showers is appearing can warden have a cleaner to remove it before it becomes a problem, the company who fitted it should know to use stainless steel screws in wet areas ,rust stains are appearing on the new tiles.we like dogs, could dog owners be told they must exersize there dogs in dog walk we saw in several occasions dogs allowed to foul other grass areas wher children can play if reported or caught not using dog walk told they will have to leave site.

Great Location for exploring Cheshire

We have stayed here several times and have always been very pleased with everything this site has to offer but this last time we stayed we were amazed to see the newly refurbished toilet/shower area, one of the best we've seen, plus relaxing music playing throughout the building, its a credit to the wardens, who are always welcoming and ready to help.

Great location for exploring

I stayed here with my disabled son and best friend and what a lovely site to stay on. The facilities were emaculate and the radio being played throughout the facilities was a bonus. There is a pub within a 5 minute walk and Cheshire Oaks outlet village is about a 15 minute walk. This is a great place to eat and shop. The Blue Planet Aquarium is also within walking distance. Great place to stay for a peaceful weekend or a shopping spree ?? Can't recommend this site enough.

Top class site

One of the best toilet and shower facilities of all the sites we have stayed on. Well laid out site, spotlessly clean and tidy, brilliant. Plenty to see and do in the area, we really enjoyed our stay here.

Great location with loads around to see and do

We stayed here en-route to Anglesey. The site is very easy to find and is just over the road from Cheshire Oaks Outlet village. There is a pub a short distance away and with your card entitles you discounts. The site was immaculate and facilities were clean. There is a an area at the beginning of the site where you can take your dogs and let them run around. It's not a large area but anywhere your dog can be lead free is a bonus. There is loads of things to do within a short car ride. Chester Zoo is very close by and the city of Chester is gorgeous to walk around the walls or relax down by the river. Next time we are heading to Wales we will definitely stop again.
