Good Site

Just spent 4 nights here, our second visit, the obvious standout attraction must be the Designer Village or whatever it is they are called but for families there is the zoo and the aquarium fairly close by.We took advantage of our bus passes and visited Chester and Liverpool. The bus to L/POOL took less than hour (on the X8) and is well worth the trip,we especially enjoyed the Wheel by ALBERT DOCK,£15 for 2 wrinklies.Brilliant.We will save the cathedrals for another time, maybe from Chester or possibly from Southport. The Rake pub just a couple of hundred yards from the site entrance sreves perfectly acceptable food. Show your caravan club card for a discount.Plenty of other eateries around including PREZZO or BELLA ITALIA if you like Italian food. The facilities were spotless, the wardens as usual very friendly. We will no doubt return in the next year or so.Hopefully !!

Lovely break

We love coming to Chester Fair Oaks because the site is very clean, the shower block is very clean, it is nice listening to Radio 2 while washing, showering etc. We stayed last November to visit Chester and Cheshire Oaks to do our Xmas shopping. Went in Harry Ramsdens for the first time which I would thoroughly recommend, there are some very nice eating places within a short walking distance. Staff at Chester Fair Oaks were welcoming and helpful. We will be back next November all being well.

Great Site

Not a lot to say really that hasn't already been said. Great team of wardens always helpful and friendly and willing to have a bit of fun. Toilet/shower block modern and very well kept. The whole site was just as well kept. Pitches really good and of a good size even if you have a twin axle or RV. Lots to do in the area including Chester Zoo very close by if you don't want to go shopping!! There is some faint background noise from the motorway but you really have to listen for it :-) Is definitely on the list to revisit

Enjoyed Our Stay

We booked this site because we planned to go to the fireworks display at Chester Race Course.  We knew it was 5 or 6 miles away from Chester town centre and planned to get a taxi but didn't realise it was 5 mins walk from Cheshire Oaks shopping centre just off the M53. Its a lovely site and next to 2 for 1 pub which did nice food. Theres  lots of other places to eat near as well.  Good site for a weekend shopping trip on the way to North Wales.

Brilliant site

We have just returned from an 8 night stay at this site. It is a great site, tidy, clean and with a modern toilet block kept very clean. It is well placed for shopping at Cheshire Oaks, The Blue Planet and all the other shops and entertainment venues in the area. You can walk across the road to visit these. There is a pub The Rake just a few yards down the road (which offers CC members a discount but we found out too late) and many other eating establishments in the area. The wardens are friendly and helpful and look after the site well. When we arrived and the wardens saw that our grandchild was with us they recommended a farmshop which also has a petting farm and cafe attached. Hayrack Church Farm is not far away and is ideal for young children with the animals and a play area and only £2 entry. They even had a Halloween trail for the kids to take part in. We visited the National Waterways museum at Ellesmere port (yet again we didn't read it until after our visit that CC members can get a discount), The Blue Planet, Lady Lever Art Museum at Port Sunlight, several places on the Wirral, boat ride on the river at Chester, Hack Green secret nuclear bunker at Nantwich and The Cheshire Oaks shopping outlet. We had a great time, there is so much to do in the area. This site is well placed and we will certainly be back. The only down side is some background noise from the motorway. The dog walk is enclosed which is good as you can let them have a run around. Our weather was great, mostly dry and sunny days.

Excellent site.

Excellent site , come every October for the half term hols. Good clean site with good big hard standing pitches. Wardens are friendly and helpful. Hungry horse pub just down the road called the Rake, serves excellent food at good prices. You also get a discount with the club there but you need to remember to take your membership card. It is not advertised so you need to ask at the bar.

Very good site

Stayed here last weekend with our two teenage daughters. We had a lovely big pitch, the site was immaculate as were the facilities. The wardens were pleasant and helpful. Lovely to see the kids dressed up and going around trick or treating on the Friday evening. It's not a quiet or peaceful site, but your not there for that! The location is fantastic, there's so much to do as others have said. We had happy teenagers!!! We had a meal at the Old Hall Farm which was very good and reasonably priced. Even managed to find a good walk for the dog along the canal. We will definitely be going back.

Just a nice site

We stayed for 3 nights with our oldest Granddaughters and was surprised at how quiet it was. Last stayed here in 2008 and since then the toilet block has been upgraded and is warm and modern. Key fob entry to site so the van is secure when you're out. Chester is a nice place to visit especially around the Eastgate area. Buildings dating back 500 years. Fascinating to adults and kids. Well worth a days shopping. Of course the Cheshire Oaks outlet is also close and our Granddaughters loved the shops. Plenty of local pub grub, we opted for the carvery which was fairly priced. All in all, just a lovely site and the Granddaughters have asked to go again.
