Excellent wardens and good location

Very easy access from the motorway network and great positioning for buses etc to Chester & Liverpool. As with pretty much most sites the wardens are very welcoming and provide loads of local knowledge and information. The proximity of the motorway will give some background noise but at this time of year, barely noticeable, especially with the very low temperatures most of the time was spent tucked up in the van! Wash block facilities excellent. The short walk from the site to the shops is easy although the fifty yards or so to the main road has no pavement and needs care, especially with young children. On returning from a lovely day in Chester we decided to call at the Rake for a quick drink and a snack - how can anywhere mess up a plate of nacho's? They were very poor. Really didn't inspire us to return for a meal at all. On a positive note taking advantage of the first night of the fish & chip van - superb! Highly recommended.

Great staff hard to better

Stayed last weekend first of the year, this site is one of the best we have stayed on it would be hard to better it. the staff are both friendly and helpful and nothing is to much, the facilitys are kept spotlessly clean and warm in the showers [ which was needed last weekend ] and the closeness of Cheshire Oaks shopping centre makes this site perfect for us. Well done to all the staff for there hard work you deserve a medal.

Chester Fairoaks

I stayed at this site during the bad weather earlier this month. What a superb crew run it, despite the weather there was minimal disruption and all the facilities were kept in superb order throughout the day. I can recommend Chester Fairoaks without reservation. It is well positioned close to a major shopping outlet and a variety of bus routes which route to all the major cities and towns in the area. These are all accessible on foot for those of us without a car. There is some residual noise from the motorway but in winter this is background noise and is not intrusive. My thanks to the team running this excellent site.

Great location

Lots to do for a short break in February 1/2 term in all weathers. 5 mins (or walking distance) from Cheshire Oaks Outlet village and Vue Cinema/Restaurants complex and around 15 mins drive to Chester. 3 pubs within 10 min walk. Site is well organised, large pitches, clean warm toilet/shower block and easy access from motorway. Small playground for children and not much open space so maybe struggle to occupy children on a longer stay, but for a few days it is great

City break in the countryside

We stayed here to visit Liverpool and the terracotta warriors exhibition. It's great bonus is the location, ten minutes walk to blue planet aquarium to get the buses to either Chester or Liverpool. Slightly longer walk to the Cheshire oaks outlet and a Sainsbury's supermarket. We didn't use the car throughout our stay. Couple of pubs nearby however we didn't use these. The wardens were friendly and knowledgeable of local walks and general information. Some slight noise from the nearby motorway but as it was s winter stay we didn't notice, however it wanting to sit outside in warmer months it could be s problem. Facilities very clean and showers hot.

Enjoyable

A good clean and well located caravan & motorhome site with excellent helpful staff. Easily accessible to get to Cheshire Oaks retail park- good designer shops. 2 Pubs within 5 to 15 minute walking distance. Ist pub The Rake allows dogs in a small area of the pub, they also serve good food at a reasonable price. Will definately return. :)

Excellent staff.

We travelled from Leicestershire and of course the satnav took us to the wrong named road. The warden had phoned to check our eta and once we told him he very kindly stayed on the phone until we had found the correct road and were just about at the site. This was very much appreciated by us. The site is very peaceful and close to all amenities including Cheshire Oaks shopping, West Kirby for a bracing walk on the shore and Chester for a cultural visit. The brand new shower block is excellent.

Enjoyable Stay

We spent three days at Chester last week and were very pleased. The site staff were extremely friendly and helpful.  The facilities were spotless and warm, when it was below zero. Cheshire Oaks Retail Outlet is less than 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes by bike.  Here you can get a bus to Liverpool or Chester. We cycled the 5.5 miles into Chester along the canal which was very easy and flat. A great site.

Great site in every respect!

We stayed here for the first time over the Christmas period, although a bit pricey the whole experience was excellent. The site is perfectly situated for walking to Cheshire Oaks and is virtually on the bus route for Chester and Liverpool. The facilities are relatively new. They were spotless and well heated. The site wardens were excellent, very welcoming and helpful. They certainly had a busy time with the changing, challenging weather. We would certainly recommend this site and will return.
