Great site

We had a long weekend at the end of April and the weather was wet (pouring down) when we arrived. The welcome of the staff was excellent, they explained where everything was left us to select our pitch at leisure. Each of the pitches we looked at were well kept, mostly hard standing and all level. The toilet block deserves special mention, it was spotless and ranks just about the best we've ever seen at home or abroad. An absolute credit to the wardens. When it came to leaving on Sunday they were able to let us stay after the 12 noon departure time (long enough for a short walk with the dog and then dinner at the Rake Pub next door to the site). All round great experience with Chester only a short drive away, with the walls, cathedral and riverside walks. Well done all.

Shame it isn't closer

Only our Third visit to any club site only had Motorhome since last September, well pleased with our choice for first of the year. Staff are exceptional made so welcome you would think we had been friends for years. All of them were so helpful in where to visit/eat and suchlike. Cleanliness of the facilities was top notch at anytime during the day. As the title says it's a shame we do not live closer or we would be regulars

WHAT A WELCOME

Had a problem with car and caravan but the wardens still wanted us to come even if late and so it was as we arrived at 20:00 and still got a nice welcome. The site is very clean and the toilet block and showers are tremendous. Add to that the ability to visit Chester nearby along with good other attractions make this a must visit site.

Cold with a warm welcoming

It was cold and snowing outside, but warm and welcoming inside our van. Beautiful picturesque weekend with snow on the ground, friendly staff, toilet block is one of the best I've seen. Our aim was to try the van out before easter treck to the New Forest Centenary Site. A few issues sorted with the help of the wardens advice. Ended up being a relaxing weekend as we stopped onsite all weekend. Easy to get to, well laid out site. Usual first class facilities, walking distance for Cheshire Oaks, The Rake- Hungry Horse Pub or a short drive to Blue Planet aquarium. Spend up or eat up the choice is yours.

March break

Excellent location and extremely easy to locate off the motorway, all caravan club staff are good but the Chester fairoaks are extremely professional and very helpful. As stated in other reviews the shopping complexes are within easy access but remember that a hugh Mark's and Spencer is also close by and definitely worth a visit. The fish and chip van is a bonus but beware the fish is the size of a whale and cooked to perfection. Everyone with the club membership should visit this site.

Excellent wardens and good location

Very easy access from the motorway network and great positioning for buses etc to Chester & Liverpool. As with pretty much most sites the wardens are very welcoming and provide loads of local knowledge and information. The proximity of the motorway will give some background noise but at this time of year, barely noticeable, especially with the very low temperatures most of the time was spent tucked up in the van! Wash block facilities excellent. The short walk from the site to the shops is easy although the fifty yards or so to the main road has no pavement and needs care, especially with young children. On returning from a lovely day in Chester we decided to call at the Rake for a quick drink and a snack - how can anywhere mess up a plate of nacho's? They were very poor. Really didn't inspire us to return for a meal at all. On a positive note taking advantage of the first night of the fish & chip van - superb! Highly recommended.

Great staff hard to better

Stayed last weekend first of the year, this site is one of the best we have stayed on it would be hard to better it. the staff are both friendly and helpful and nothing is to much, the facilitys are kept spotlessly clean and warm in the showers [ which was needed last weekend ] and the closeness of Cheshire Oaks shopping centre makes this site perfect for us. Well done to all the staff for there hard work you deserve a medal.

Chester Fairoaks

I stayed at this site during the bad weather earlier this month. What a superb crew run it, despite the weather there was minimal disruption and all the facilities were kept in superb order throughout the day. I can recommend Chester Fairoaks without reservation. It is well positioned close to a major shopping outlet and a variety of bus routes which route to all the major cities and towns in the area. These are all accessible on foot for those of us without a car. There is some residual noise from the motorway but in winter this is background noise and is not intrusive. My thanks to the team running this excellent site.
