Great site
We had a long weekend at the end of April and the weather was wet (pouring down) when we arrived. The welcome of the staff was excellent, they explained where everything was left us to select our pitch at leisure.
Each of the pitches we looked at were well kept, mostly hard standing and all level.
The toilet block deserves special mention, it was spotless and ranks just about the best we've ever seen at home or abroad. An absolute credit to the wardens.
When it came to leaving on Sunday they were able to let us stay after the 12 noon departure time (long enough for a short walk with the dog and then dinner at the Rake Pub next door to the site).
All round great experience with Chester only a short drive away, with the walls, cathedral and riverside walks.
