Perfect Site for Exploring Area

We have just returned from a week's holiday at Chester Fairoaks. It is the first time that we have stayed on this Club Site but it certainly won't be the last. Lovely site, very well run, spotlessly clean, quiet and peaceful. Well placed for exploring the area. The bus service is a great way to travel too. The staff were so helpful and cheerful. We had a lovely holiday. And met some great folk too. Well recommended. The Sutherlands

This site is a jewel in the crown of the Caravan & Motorhome Club

This is the first time we visited & Stayed at Chester Fairoaks, and we were very pleased with our choice of site. we stayed on the bank holiday weekend 28th to 31st for our 4 nights, we found the pitch we had was No 16 and from 19 onwards were a sunny pitch with hard standing and a good size for our motorhome and awning, will be returning as we found a lots to do. The site is situated within close walking distance to 2 Pubs, and each do meals. The rake in Rake Lane, & the Harvester at the entrance to Rake Lane A5117, The shopping Centre is something else very good. Now the site is well, it sets the Bar for all other sites as a standard this is because of the amount of hard work and dedication that the wardens are doing daily, a big thanks to Sharon and her team very well done. And the site was immaculate, the showers were cleaned spotless and all the usual sort of stuff you see from a quality run site. Superb As Arnie says WE WILL BE BACK... Steve & Ann in SAM 2

Pitches

Lovely site, close to shopping park, wardens really friendly and helpful. The only thing I will say is the pitches need sorting drainage is terrible, they need to do this definitely this year

Fantastic

Stayed for 2 nights but wish it were longer. Site is very well maintained and the showers are the best caravan club ones we have seen, always spotless. Lovely location, walking distance to Sainsbury's and the Designer Shopping Outlet. Will definitely return.

Constant road noise

Lovely bank holiday weekend at Chester Fairoaks but found it very difficult to sleep due to the constant traffic noise. Positioned just across from Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, it's great to walk across and not worry about taking the car. An abundance of different eateries, you are spoilt for choice and 3 very close pubs also serving food. As it is close to the canal which meanders into Chester we got on our bikes and within half an hour we were walking in the centre of the city. The site boasts a lovely refurbished toilet/shower block but can someone tell me why the shower heads are so ridiculously high? My wife is only 5 foot and by the time the water is at her height there is not enough force to rinse shampoo from her hair, therefore like lots of sites with the same showers she has to use the adapted shower cubicle. The wardens were extremely welcoming and helpful, even when on the way to unblock a toilet there was a cheerful and friendly disposition. We normally visit in November for the Christmas market so it was lovely to see the site looking leafy and green. A shame that some members think its ok to drive across the grass which was obviously still wet after all the rain we've had lately and that they could turn into no entry areas to prevent going round again to reach the pitch they had spotted. All in all a good site of usual Club standard and would visit again, just need some earplugs and a box for the wife to stand on in the shower :)

Great site

We had a long weekend at the end of April and the weather was wet (pouring down) when we arrived. The welcome of the staff was excellent, they explained where everything was left us to select our pitch at leisure. Each of the pitches we looked at were well kept, mostly hard standing and all level. The toilet block deserves special mention, it was spotless and ranks just about the best we've ever seen at home or abroad. An absolute credit to the wardens. When it came to leaving on Sunday they were able to let us stay after the 12 noon departure time (long enough for a short walk with the dog and then dinner at the Rake Pub next door to the site). All round great experience with Chester only a short drive away, with the walls, cathedral and riverside walks. Well done all.

Shame it isn't closer

Only our Third visit to any club site only had Motorhome since last September, well pleased with our choice for first of the year. Staff are exceptional made so welcome you would think we had been friends for years. All of them were so helpful in where to visit/eat and suchlike. Cleanliness of the facilities was top notch at anytime during the day. As the title says it's a shame we do not live closer or we would be regulars

WHAT A WELCOME

Had a problem with car and caravan but the wardens still wanted us to come even if late and so it was as we arrived at 20:00 and still got a nice welcome. The site is very clean and the toilet block and showers are tremendous. Add to that the ability to visit Chester nearby along with good other attractions make this a must visit site.

Cold with a warm welcoming

It was cold and snowing outside, but warm and welcoming inside our van. Beautiful picturesque weekend with snow on the ground, friendly staff, toilet block is one of the best I've seen. Our aim was to try the van out before easter treck to the New Forest Centenary Site. A few issues sorted with the help of the wardens advice. Ended up being a relaxing weekend as we stopped onsite all weekend. Easy to get to, well laid out site. Usual first class facilities, walking distance for Cheshire Oaks, The Rake- Hungry Horse Pub or a short drive to Blue Planet aquarium. Spend up or eat up the choice is yours.
