Superb site,

Superb site, very clean and everything well looked after. I have been trying to stay on this site but its always full on line, so seeing a vacancy, I tried booking it by phone. No problem but we'll have to move your pitch each day. No problem, but my only one gripe was having to pay for each pitch each morning separately, it's the computer I was told. So maybe a tweak to the system is called for.

Great September Break

We have just spent ten days at Chatsworth our yearly ritual. We would like to thank all the site staff for making this break great. The weather was brilliant but more to the point the site was as usual very busy but the greeting from the guys on duty when we arrived was brilliant and all through our stay there was always a friendly greeting from the site staff. It was that good we booked for the same period next year but sadly all the site staff will have changed. All I can say is good luck to those taking over as they will have a lot to live up to. As per usual with a club site all facility's and grass areas were in tip top condition again all due to the site staff. Yours Carol ad Ian Trowbridge.

A great holiday

We came for the duration of the Chatsworth Country Fair and stayed on for the following week. This is a long holiday by our standards (nine nights) but we were confident about the site as we had visited last November for a few days. The wardens were lovely. I had numerous telephone conversations with them (due to the short notice of our intended stay) before our visit and they were never anything but helpful and patient. Upon our arrival they had obviously had a busy day but were polite and helpful nevertheless. The facilities block and outdoor spaces were clean and tidy even though the site was full to capacity over the weekend. The door through to the estate is a great bonus. We walked around the park and into Baslow on a number of occasions. I'd thoroughly recommend this site.

Secret Garden

We stayed from the 10th of August to the 18th for my husbands birthday, the site is perfectly placed for visits around the Peak District. As for being given a key which allows access from the old walled garden into the park & the view of Chatsworth, how magical & what wonderful dog walks. The site is pretty with many planters & attractive & amusing areas (some sweet carved sheep appeared by a model of Chatsworth) The facilities are spotless, the wardens couldn't be more helpful or amenable & are always busy keeping the site tidy. Absolutely perfect, will certainly return, wonderful memories, thankyou.

Just returned from a wonderful short break at Chatsworth. This is our fourth visit to this site and it remains one of our favourites on the network. One of our reasons for enjoying this site is the care and attention given by the wardens. We really love the vista and amazing experience of unlocking the gate and stepping out on to the Chatsworth Estate, the view is spectacular. We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the Wheatsheaf Hotel at Baslow, made even more enjoyable given the 20% for being a member of the club. We hope to make a return visit soon.

Many thanks for your review and we are delighted that you had a wonderful time at Chatsworth. We just wanted to clarify to avoid any confusion, the Wheatsheaf Hotel offers members 20% off food from Mon-Fri, not on Sundays.

Site set in the grounds of Chatsworth House

Beautiful setting with secret gate key which gives direct access into Chatsworth House grounds. We felt it wasn’t the greatest welcome on arrival, they were busy and very rushed which showed in their attitude no time to explain anything. Just go find a pitch and come back. Site felt very over crowded and pitches packed in to every available space. Not the best site we have ever been to but you can’t fault the location.

Brilliant site

What a brilliant site, from arriving to be greeted by such lovely wardens and the ducks, to exploring the lovely walks through the gate and the spotlessly clean facilities, everything was just perfect, just wish we could have spent more time there.

Brilliant site best yet

Brilliant site best yet. Beautiful walks around the chatsworth estate, facilities and site lovely and up to general caravan club standard. Always fully booked we got on last night minute maybe an extension in the future? The service pitches have chemical waste points at the back of them first I've seen on a service pitch anywhere. Would definitely return again if we can get booked!

Lovely Site

This was a lovely site, very good location and even though it was very busy it was quiet. The wardens were the friendliest and most helpful thst we have met at any caravan club site.

Favourite site, but....

We have stayed at Chatsworth every year since the site opened and we love it. Our children have grown up loving the life of holidaying in a caravan and in particular staying at Chatsworth. They love to join us when we are staying there. We have just returned from a two week stay and despite the weather still had a lovely time, managing to get in a few walks on the Estate and surrounding area. The site is kept very clean and the wardens are lovely, even remembering me from previous years and being able to call me by name when I went to book in. Whilst we realise there is a lot to do on the site and it is a very busy site we feel that it is very much in need of a refurbish. The pitches are quite worn and need new gravel, the wooden surrounds on each pitch have all but disappeared and there are a lot of weeds on the pitches even though it looks as though they have been sprayed with some sort of weedkiller. We love this site so come on CaMC make some investment into this extremely busy site and get it back to the standard we as members expect.
