Lovely site

This is a lovely little site. The two shower blocks are kept very clean. Showers nice and hot. Wardens are very pleasant and friendly. Theres a good farm shop along the road that sells everything you need. We even enjoyed the company of a georgeous cat who likes the caravan site. We will definetly be back. Its ideal for the Birmingham N E.C. 10 out of 10

Recent stay

Stayed for 3 nights whilst we wenthink to Carvan and Motor home show.Nicentre well layed out site, very friendly warden's our dog wouldn't pass the office due to the warden's spoiling her with treats.2 shower blocks both keep very clean . Dog walk is not much a public footpath beside church just outside site is not to bad.The site dose sUfford with a little road noise which wasn't a problem to us as we live close to the A14 in Suffolk. We used the fish and chip shop in Wythall resoanably priced good size portions and real chips also used the White Swan in Wythall food was good and resoanably priced the service was a bit slow between courses. If your going to a show at the NEC give yourself plenty of time as J6 gets very busy and delays can be up to 30 minutes or more

Convenient and well laid out

Stayed here for four days to visit the Motorhome and Caravan show at the NEC (our second visit to the site). Yes there is a certain amount of road noise, being so close to the M42. However the site is well positioned for taking in the attractions of the area as well as the NEC. I think this out weighs the noise factor. I found the staff friendly and very helpful. The pitches are of a good size and well spaced out. I facilities are of the usual Caravan Club high standard and are well maintained. There was nothing to put me off staying at this site again when we visit the area

noisy few days

Very limited choice of pitch due to Caravan & Motorhome Show.Road very noisy.Could hear traffic all the while.Bus to Birmingham on time nice drivers and reasonable price. Toilet blocks chilly every time we went in am or pm,didnt want to hang about too long having a shower !!. As to wardens name and shame speeding drivers we were surprised the club could afford to buy and maintain speed guns.Only worth visit if going into Birmingham not really a holiday site.

Peaceful setting just off the M42

Booked this site for its location to Cadburys World. Found it very easily off the M42 and was made welcome by the staff. Good selection of serviced pitches available and were able to park up close to the toilet blocks. I was happy because I even managed to get good TV reception on the motorhome aerial without the need to setup the dish. Good base location for a number of attractions, sightseeing and Shopping

SPARKLY CLEAN & BEAUTIFULLY RUN

The cleanliness of this site is outstanding. Friendly & excellently run, we stopped several times over the years, and the last one, a few days ago was the best!

Just the job for a stop over!

We used this site because it was close to the dealer we were buying our new caravan from, so we were not too bothered about local attractions etc. However, it was perfect for our 2 night stop over to check out our new van. The two toilet blocks were spotless, although the wasps in the older building were a bit of a nuisance. The site is perfectly placed for a stopover for anyone travelling on the M5, M6 or M42. Of course proximity to the motorway does mean there is a constant traffic noise, but you can't have everything. I was offered a tarmac pitch, but declined as these are smaller than conventional ones; the tarmac pitches are perfect for a one night layover on a longer journey - they guarantee an easy pitch up with no need for fancy reversing or engaging a mover. We will certainly use this site when travelling from the North-East to the South-West or South Wales.

Peaceful one night stop over

We stayed here for one night on a stop over on route to Brixham from North Yorkshire. From the hustle and bustle of the M42 it was just 4 minutes down a good access road and we were here. Fabulous site which you would never believe was in the middle of motorways and a large city. Pleanty of great eating places around. We opted for a carvary and it was mint. Only about 5 minutes drive from the site. Very inexpensive and great food. The site wardens are the usual high standard you meet at all club sites. The site was the usual highly cleaned and manicured site. Although we stayed only one night we were highly impressed and will be visiting again for a longer stay.

Great location

We booked a 2 week stay at this site which seems to mainly cater for short stop overs.  The site was very well maintained with a good layout, including a significant number of serviced pitches  The wardens were some of the friendliest we've met and kept everything spotless.  Speeding vehicles are usually a problem on sites, but here the wardens "name and shame" offenders by writing their car registrations up on the noticeboard at the site entrance - this worked wonderfully well, so other wardens please take note. There is so much to do in the area and the road network made access very easy - a very enjoyable stay.
