Visiting family for a weekend

Visited this site a few years ago nothing has really changed. The toilet block nearest the entrance could do with an upgrade. Shower on both days kept losing heat. Quite noisy with the road and people walking past van on the Tarmac during the night. Ok for a couple of nights wouldn't like to stay longer.

Good stop over location

Used as a 1 night stop over to break up a long journey conveniently located close to m42 a very quiet and peaceful site  Toilet blocks were a little dated but spotlessly clean With an ever friendly warden who was knowledgeable and chatty we will definitely be using this site again

Overnight stay

What a lovely welcome on arriving at this site from the very friendly wardens. The plants at the entrance are beautiful. There are a selection of herb plants for people to use, a lovely idea. It was our first stay on this site, overnight on our way down south but I'm sure it won't be the last. Very easy to find from the motorway.

Great find

We didn't want to drive all the way home in one hit, so looked to find CC site on route. Couldn't find anything totally ideal so elected for Chapel Lane. Very surprised and loved the welcome we received. We would recommend this site to anyone travelling the Midlands motorway network and not wanting to continue driving on. Local farm shop and restaurant gives discount on sales. It well worth a visit to either stock up on the essentials or get a takeaway. All in all a very worthwhile find and we will be stopping here again.

Too many serviced pitches.?

We have stayed on this site many, many times over the years, we have relatives who live nearby. So we have several favourite pitches..as you do.Imagine our suprise when we found that all of our favourites have been converted into fully Serviced pitches( at an extra 3.90 per night) fine for caravanners especially ones who find lugging water physically difficult but for us motorhomers, a bit of a waste. Some of the pitches converted, used to flood badly in heavy rain, but have been resurfaced,so its not all bad ! Just potentially a lot more expensive or a lot less choice. Shouldnt the 2nd toilet block have been upgraded First ? Otherwise still a top class site.

Good Location

Have stayed on this site on numerous occasions, both as an overnight stop and to explore the local area. Have never been disappointed with the welcome from the wardens or the attention they give to the site. Close to the M42 - just the ticket!

Overnighter

We stayed here for one night on our way down to a CL in Somerset. It is a lovely well kept site which is so easy to get to from the motorway. We had intended to stay a few days but had car trouble so had to cancel. The wardens were very friendly and helpful when we cancelled and then when we rebooked hen the car was fixed. They should also be complemented for their wonderful flower display. We plan on having a few days here in the future to explore Birmingham and surrounds.

Family weekend

Lovely site in good settings. Very handy for local attractions. We visited the bus museum next door and had a fab time. The wardens were helpful on arrival but I have to say I really don't like the blackboard with reg numbers on it. As members of a club a quiet word from the wardens should be enough to correct any problems, public humiliation is not necessary. There also seems to be a fear of hosepipes, I stepped over one being used by a warden to water the flowers and she seemed very annoyed with me for doing so and made a big fuss of pulling it to one side for the rest of my family. We had no issue stepping over a flat hose, but went away feeling like we had done something wrong.
