Staff were very helpful and checking in was an absolute breeze, set up in less than 20 minutes and the kettle was on for a nice cup of tea, I set the deck chair up and relaxed for ten minutes but could of sat there all day it was so peaceful.
Good farm shop within walking distance which you pass on the roundabout approaching the site, Sainsbury's supermarket is only 3 miles away.
I've stayed here a few times now and always find it a nice place to be.
We have just spent five enjoyable days at Chapel Lane Site. What a lovely, well kept Site - it was a credit to the Wardens who were very pleasant, polite and helpful. We will definitely be going to that Site again.
Another short stay so we could attend the Caravan etc show in February. Booked for 2 nights but was relieved to be able to extend by 1 day when the storm force winds on the Thursday made the thought of towing terrifying! We had to move pitch which was a nuisance but anything rather than leaving the site. Thanks to the wardens for sorting this out.
Very well maintained site and top marks for cleanliness. Wardens friendly and helpful as ever. Only downside is having a pitch close to the adjacent road when traffic noise is a bit intrusive. Pitches closer to the central area of site are much quieter.
Stayed here several times over the last decade and it never disappoints.
Always clean, always tidy and wardens friendly and willing to help, the only downside is the very small play area which is only suitable for older children (need stuff for under 7's please).
Still, very convenient for Solihul, Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick and importantly, being only 5-minutes off the M42, it is ideal for the Nec.
Pitch sizes vary so if you have a big unit, check availability in advance of larger pitches.
Will we be back, but of course!
Very conveniently sited for M42, NEC, West Midlands and Warwickshire.
Very welcoming and helpful wardens who keep the site in superb shape. Toilets spotless in two convenient locations.
Hourly bus service from outside the site except Sunday's. Connects with services to Birmingham. Service goes via Shirley to excellent shopping at Solihull and then to Knowledge. Solihull takes about 50 mins by bus.
Walkable farm shop and restaurant and nearby pub.
Booked initially for 3 nights, stayed for 21!Excellent site well placed for plenty of things to do and see.All of the wardens work very hard and are really pleasant and helpful. The fish and chip shop at Wythall is a must if you like really good fish and chips. All in all a really enjoyable 3 weeks. Will definitely be back.
We stayed recently for five nights for our owners club event in Kidderminster, and the NEC show.
Although we had booked from the Thursday, the weather forecast was Storm Doris and we felt it was not very responsible to tow 200 miles,so contacted the site on the Wednesday to see if we could come a day early.DISASTER....SITE FULL.(damn the NEC show).we set about trying to find a pitch and rang back to ask if the wardens would ring us if a pitch became available.
We located a C.L. pitch nearby, only for the warden to ring us at about 13-00 to say a
pitch would be available due to an early departure(good old Storm Doris!!!) So cancelled the C.L,(a very nice lady only two miles from the site at Alvechurch, who was very understanding)
Van already packed, off we went and arrived about 18-00.
Although the site was full ,we found it very quiet.
The wardens were lovely, the facilities well up to the usual standards.
We visited the N.T. Packwood House nearby which was excellent(very interesting Topiary Garden)
and also the Birmingham Back to Backs(also N.T) which were fascinating, but the highlight was probably our visit to Newman Brothers Coffin Works on the edge of the Jewellery Quarter.
Most unusual and original.
One thing that we did notice, and this confirmed by friends who have used the site several times, was a less friendly, slightly aloof response from our fellow members on the site.
This is something we have not experienced before and cannot really get a handle on the reason.
Generally a lovely stay with wardens who went the extra mile to find us the early pitch night.
