Good for access to the NEC

Lovely clean site and very welcoming. Small dog walk on site which is good HOWEVER it is not secure. The end of the dog walk leads to some double gates but to the left of this is a run down fence leading to a field which the dogs could easily escape into. The problem is that this field also has a very basic two wire fence to a very busy main road. Would it be possible to secure the end of the dog walk so that we can let our dogs run free ??

Spotless and welcoming

My second stay at Chapel Lane when attending shows at the NEC. Convenient location with easy access to the motorway network. Very welcoming and helpful at reception. Grounds and facilities kept in a spotless condition. Will definitely be back!

Value for Money

Value for money particularly if they are doing a mid week deal. Excellent access to motorways and therefore all the midland cities and NEC. Also close to tourist destinations such as Warwick. Good facilities. Quiet

Lovely well located site

Excellent site with friendly staff and good facilities. Well laid out pitches. Shower block we used was clean and met all our requirements/needs. Location was great being just off the M42, yet a peaceful site. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

NEC Stopover

Ideally placed from the South West, visited the NEC Camping show, half an hour commute if traffic is bad on M42. First Shower block very dated, nearest entrance, but clean and hot water. Hot water can be tempermental and can turn cold. Becketts Farm shop well worth the walk from site about 15min walk. Parking could be tight for a 7 meter plus motorhome. Remember 10% on presentation of Caravan and Motorhome Club Card. Whilst at the site visited the National Memorial Arboretum, dog friendly and about 45mins from site. Programme Sat Nav to avoid M6 Tolls, use A38. Well worth a visit, good restaurant and open all year. Motorhome parking in the large overflow car park, which is just past the main entrance, £3 for all day parking - payment at reception on entry. Wardens very friendly, helpful information hut. Traffic noise constant from the M42, but didn't spoil the stay.

A perfect introduction to caravaning

Our first time out using our caravan, only purchased it a couple of weeks ago - Chapel Lane is only 20 minutes from our house so we opted to stay local so we could try out our new van. I am so pleased we opted for Chapel Lane, the wardens were SO helpful on arrive, lovely and offered advice. Very peaceful location, exceptionally clean (even the mens toilet block, im female and showered in the mens by mistake!! LOL haha) I would 100% recommend to anyone who wants a little peace of the countryside just a stones throw from the motorway and thriving city of Birmingham.

Perfect site for visiting NEC. Welcoming and friendly. Just some info for dog owners

The site is well situated and ideal for visiting NEC or Birmingham. Wardens friendly and welcoming. Spotless shower blocks ( one is clearly older than the other but both good ) and a short bit of a dog walk at the back of the site which is well maintained. The local park is a bit of a hike up a road with no pavement but there is easy access to a field just outside the site ( turn right at the old schoolhouse) . Be aware that there is obviously a little bit of sensitivity between the site and the static home site next door, there are plenty of signs up in the road about no dog walking, trespassers, privacy etc which are a bit OTT but I guess that there’s been issues in the past with people letting dogs foul. Any improvements? Not really, maybe a little chair in the well stocked info shed to sit in whilst browsing. Do take a trip to Becketts farm next door.see their huge pasties, Ten minute walk and breakfast is good. Sunday carvery there needs pre booking. Nice gentle walk across the fields to the coach and horses pub, good beer there but we did have an hours wait for food. A nice site we would definitely come again and would recommend it to anyone visiting this area. Bring your binoculars if you like birds, there’s loads around.

A winter visit to Chapel Lane

We chose Chapel Lane to stay as it is close to the area where my wife did her Teacher training course in the early 60's Mid January is not the best time to see the site at its best but we could see that it would be a very pleasant site to stay on during the other seasons. All of the facilities were spotless but it was a little disappointing to find that, although I was the only person using the showers each morning the water did not stay hot for very long. We will definitely be returning but during a "better season" If you stay on the site do not miss Beckett's Farm shop.
