Friendly wee site

Arrived in pouring rain but made to feel most welcome. Even kept the shop open incas evil needed anything. It's further into the village than I thought but many places to eat and drink. Follow the access route in the handbook. I didn't and ended up going down a very steep wee road.

Castleton August 2015

What a find. Such a lovely quiet site. Superb location at the end of Hope Valley, with very good facilities. Easy walk into the village of Castleton (10 minutes), which boasted some great pubs and eateries. Fabulous local walks (Mam Tor, Losehill Pike, etc.). We didn't have to use the car in 4 days. We WILL be back.

A Gem in the great Outdoors

A favourite and always enjoyable, the staff are extremely friendly and proffesional the location is ideal with walking available for all levels that start from the site itself. Good choice of eateries within 10 minutes what's not to enjoy.

Spectacular

Our second visit to the site and it did not disappoint despite the rain. Set in beautiful surroundings and an easy walk into the village centre. A mention must be made regarding the magnificent floral display, easily the best in the caravan club. Thank you for your efforts they look spectacular.

Tranquil Surroundings

Beautifully kept site and friendly wardens. Peaceful surroundings and well laid out for amenities. Our first ever site as newbies and we were not disappointed at the reception and help we received from the wardens and fellow members. Made our maiden trip very enjoyable and can't wait for our next. Castleton is short walk (approx 15mins) and was ideal area for us and our dog to get plenty of exercise.

A site for all

This is a wonderful site in beautiful countryside. It is clean and well kept and the wardens are very friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do for everybody including the kids. Cycling, walking and visiting one of the 8 pubs in Castleton village. Can't recommend it enough.

Super quiet site

Only stopped for one night but what a lovely site. Quiet and peaceful, super friendly warden who made booking in a pleasure, made us feel so welcome, all pitches are around a central facilities block which means everything is easy to hand, hope to return.
