Enjoyed it

Good location, 2 dog/children friendly pubs in a short walking distance...we preferred the Robin Hood, although the we had a drink in the Red Lion too. There’s a direct bus in to Cambridge although we did walk in (it was a bit of a trek!). The site itself is well run, clean & tidy. The toilets & showers plentiful & up to the club standards we see elsewhere. There’s shops & takeaways close enough to walk to & a decent nature trail/wooded walk across the road from the site...we liked it here & would return.

Perfect!

My wife and I have just returned from a 5 night break at your Cambridge Cherry Hinton Site. WOW what can I say. PREFECT HOSTS! Lovely human beings who were courteous, kind and patient. The site was immaculately kept. Shower block was clean from floor to ceiling. Perfect location and hosts. Thank you! If pitch 43 is free it will provide you with ultimately privacy. Cycle path to Grantchester to the Orchard Teas Rooms (Yum) and Fen Ditton The Plough (Yum) are a must! Both locations are beside the River Cam.

Must improve

Having spent 7 weeks travelling through Western Europe Cherry Hinton's facilities were the grubbiest we have come across. The site was also the most expensive. After Cherry Hinton we moved on to Richmond Hargill House where the facilities were very clean. How can the Caravan and Motorhome club operate with such wide ranging standards. The facilities need upgrading but that is no excuse. Again, in comparison with the overseas sites we used, this site was the least well kept.

Good but not the usual height standard

A good site in a great location and our 3rd visit. The down side of this visit was the cleaning of the toilet block was not up to usual caravan club standards. It looks like there are only 2 wardens (not the usual 4) and this showed in the quick and low quality cleaning, plus some hedges etc.. We're in cut, again not the usual standard for a club site.

Nice site, but!

We were looking forward to our three nights in Cambridge, unfortunately we had to cut it to two. We had to leave a night early as the site was so roudy with a large group of families, kicking a ball around till 1245 in the morning. Cars coming into site at the early hours with engines running. The next morning, I raised my concerns with the warden and got an apology, a refund would have been a better gesture! I will certainly be looking at taking it up with the club when I get home. I would add the wardens were really friendly!

Excellent Access to Cambridge

This was the first time we visited this site. Access from the A11 via Lime Kiln Road is a little narrow for larger outfits so I recommend using Fulbourn Road which is much more accessible. We had a very warm welcome but the process of finding a pitch on foot is a tad frustrating if there's more than a couple of outfits waiting to book in. That said, this is a quiet and well-run site, conveniently situated for visiting Cambridge and the surrounding area. Cherry Hinton is a 5 minute walk and offers two local pubs and a choice of local shops and takeaways. We ate at the "Robin Hood" which offers a very comprehensive menu and good value. There are bus stops in the village which offer regular and convenient access to Cambridge and, for the more energetic, Cambridge and the surrounding area is very cycle-friendly.

Excellent site for visiting Cambridge

Stayed here for 2 nights in early April. The site is clean and tidy and the wardens are friendly and helpful.Site is about 15 minutes cycle from city centre and can be reached using cycle paths avoiding busy roads. We will be back! Highly recommended,

Good location

This site is in a good location for cycling into Cambridge. Designated cycle paths all the way. Site well maintained and very clean but a little unusual in layout. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Good location for hospital

We have had a long stay here due to hospital treatment, site has always been clean and tidy. The site wardens Paul & Marie have been fantastic in all aspects, from start to the end with bookings etc. Both a pleasant couple we will definitely return to site for a holiday in the near future and explore more of the city, nice compact site loved the pitch we had right at the top of site, been a good stay and healing one. A huge thanks to Paul and Marie for being so helpful a credit to the club.
