Good site, pleasant location wardens helpful and friendly. Try the circle walk, easy going and ends up at the pub just outside the site!.
Great Little Site
Our first visit to this site we had a warm welcome from the on site wardens. Great location close to Bury town centre. Good pub on site with good food. Lovely walks along the river into Ramsbottom. Will definitely visit again.
SERVICED PITCH
We had a very warm welcome from the on duty warden who was very helpful. Our only concern was that the pitch we were on-No4-was muddy due to there being lack of chippings. It badly needed resurfacing, otherwise a lovely site which we have visited many times.

A great site in North Manchester
This is the closest main site to our home in Huddersfield, and we decided to go for a 2 night stay to try out our new awning. We'd been twice before and always enjoyed it thoroughly. The site is the usual high caravan club standard, with the East Lancs Heritage Railway running by the site with many steam engines all day Saturday and Sunday. I understand that the Club has bought an adjoining field onto which will go some more pitches and a special platform for the railway! Reason to visit again!
The site is superb. Burrs Country Park is excellent, and the pubs good. What else would a discerning caravanner / steam fan want?!
Bury itself is an ok sort of town to visit - the usual mix of smart shopping Centre (The Rock), a fantastic market (Bury Market) but more than it's fair share of run down properties, pound shops and charity shops.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice enough place with excellent tram connections into Manchester City Centre, but on it's own not a reason to visit imho.
The River Irwell runs through the town and flooded quite badly after Christmas. The walking route from the site to the town is a bit grim, with the litter, debris and mud left by the floods contributing to a bit of a depressed area.
I'd recommend you visit this site and make your own minds up. If your preference is to stay on site and chill, then it'll be great. If you're expecting a scenic stroll into town (as you do from Rowntree Park into York) then you're in for a disappointment.
Wardens pleasant, helpful and friendly
First time in burrs park
Very good site clean tidy excellent toilet and ablutions lovely for dog walkers and country side ramblers excellent walking tracks .one downside for us was we came wrong time of year all the grounds were very muddy so wellies were the norm two pubs close by within walking distance and for the ladies Bury market is excellent.we will return in warmer weather most definitely
Love this site.
Very pleasant site with pubs nearby (The Garsdale food is REALLY good!), excellent dog walks and heritage railway running past. Always well kept and a pleasure to visit.
Excellent Site
Just spent a long weekend there first of the year, it was a little cold but very pleasant clean and friendly. Bury town just a short distance with Bury market a must. And its a lovely site watching the steam trains go by. Highly recommended.
Good Site
Just spent 5 nights (good frosts) on this site. Our first visit, and hopefully not our last.BURY is just a 35 minute walk away but there are buses fairly local to the site. From the bus station you can get practically anywhere reasonably quick. We enjoyed the ride into Manchester on one day.
There are one or two decent pubs locally and if you are dog owners (we are not),the pub by the site entrance will let the dog owners in as well. The site is right next to the EAST LANCS RAILWAY and we were treated to several views of passing trains.
The facilities on site were as usual a credit to the wardens.
RECCOMMENDED.
