Lovely
Visited end July can not understand why on a busy weekend the wardens locked off 1 toilet cubicle, 2 sink cubicles & a shower cubicle!Â
The site itself is maintained to a decent standard, nice to see the steam trains, love Bury market wish it could be open more than 3 times a week.,
What A Gem
Just spent 2 nights on this site on a trip back from Yorkshire, picked purely on its location as a good place not too far off motorway to continue our journey home.
Delighted with everything on the site, beautiful blooming flower baskets outside reception matched the smiles and very warm welcome on arrival. Spotlessly clean site, fantastic walks and access to cycle routes and an easy half hour walk into Bury to explore. What's not to like about this site? You even get steam trains chugging through about 5 times a day, and a choice of 2 pubs nearby if that's what floats your boat.Â
We loved our stay in Burrs Country Park and will be back again soon, thank you to all who make this such a lovely site you are doing an excellent job.Â

Good chill out site
Have just returned from a three night stay at this site and
All in all it was good (apart from the weather which wasn't good!). Usual standard of cleanliness as you expect from a club site and the pub just outside the gate The Brown Cow was nice too.
One downside for us was our pitch (no 1) it was a fully serviced pitch but it was thread bare, the gravel virtually gone in the area around the door and down the Rh side of the van and was thin all over which made it muddy going into the van,
I asked one of the wardens if he had some spare gravel I could scatter around the door area but he said he had none.
However, about an hour later he appeared with a small bucket of gravel to which I was grateful. All the other pitches looked to have healthy amounts of fresh gravel.
That aside, what a lovely site with happy, helpful wardens.
Would definitely go back.
Great site
This is the most pristine and well kept caravan club site I have seen. The site is immaculate.
A GREAT BIG WELL DONE TO THE WARDENS
Steam train
Enjoyed seeing a beautiful steam train stopping, so close, while the passengers enjoyed a course of the fine dinning.
Walked into Burry to view the steam train and I was amazed by the small station and how British it had be done by volunteers who were full of memories and knowledge, older generation, In full uniforms sharing with all generations of visitors. It was like a blast from the past.
Went on a steam train to the last stop and then walked back on part of the sculpture trail. It was a brilliant day and fully recommend it to anybody. Even people like us who aren't really interested in trains. It was magical.
Convenient Stopover
A very pleasant, clean and open site in a very beautiful setting. Close to major towns/cities in Lancashire which is great if you want the peace and quiet location for your stay with all the amenities and attractions a short drive away. Plenty of countryside to explore with some lovely walks. A clean and well maintained site with large, level pitches and friendly staff to help if needed.
Scottish Motorhomer
Very nice site.Good walks for the dogs.A pub and playground nearby.Showers and toilets clean.Would recommend a stay if in that area
Surprising Location
This site is a superb location for visiting Manchester and the excellent Bury market . The site is well kept and very clean with friendly hard working Wardens maintaining the very high standards. Hidden away next to a country park our long time friends who have lived nearby for many years were not aware of it's existence although they visit Bury Market weekly.
