A First Time Visit

Wanted a two night stop over before the drive home and Burford proved to be just right. A very nice site which was easy to find. Clean facilities, friendly staff and an altogether good place to stop. We took the opportunity of visiting the Wildlife Park (discounted tickets provided in Reception) which is right opposite the site which made it great, and meant that we didn't have to drive off site in the motor home, which can be a nuisance.

Another enjoyable visit

This was another return visit to this site, enjoyable as ever. The wildlife park across the road is a must visit as is the falconry centre near Moreton. We went to the crocodile zoo near Carterton, twice, it was that good. We also discovered Bibury, the trout farm is excellent value. We parked free in Carterton to catch the bus into Oxford, much easier than driving in. The site was as well looked after as ever. A mobile chippy visits every Friday, definitely one of the better ones we've encountered on club sites over the years.

Thank you excellent site

We had decided to sign up for wi-fi whilst using the CC sites and Buford was to be our first "attempt". Andy drew the short straw of helping us as our lap top did all it could to frustrate us. She never gave up although she says she helps several people a day to get started and even has a help chart, ours though did not want to be tamed. The next day she came up with the idea of signing on using her own lap top, which was successful immediately and we now have absolutely no problem with using it freely. So a big thank you to Andy for not giving up on us. Excellent site, excellent facilities and proximity to Buford was good too. Thank you Andy you deserve a medal!

Excellent stay

We recently spent two nights at Burford and though the weather had been atrocious, we were lucky to manage some sunshine on both days. Despite the weather, the site was spotless, the grass was immaculate and the worst waterlogged pitches had been temporarily decommissioned. This is our first visit to the site, and having spent a wonderful day at the Wildlife Park (with discount tickets from reception) we will definitely return, as the site is an absolute credit to the management team.

Fabulous!

We have been routinely visiting this site for approximately 5 years now. We have often commented on the friendly nature of the staff particularly as a family. The site us perfectly located, and spotlessly clean in all areas. There have been a few more hardstanding pitches inintroduced and still plenty of grass pitches if you prefer. We love to hear the lions and the monkey's from the Wildlife Park opposite. Easter and Halloween breaks are recommended for the younger members of the group.  Lots to do - whether it's taking in scenery or visiting local areas and places of interest you wont be disappointed.

Cotswold tour

Love this site been a few times, we were going to the Wildlife Park opposite the site but it rained all day, never mind we will have to return again. The two nights they were doing a lot of flying in and out of nearby Brize Norton, but that cant be helped.

Great Site

Perfect site to stay when exploring the Cotswolds. Clean, spacious pitches and a very friendly site. Added bonus - the wildlife park just across the road - we could actually hear the lion in the far distance as we dozed off to sleep in the peace and quiet of the night.

unhelpful warden

After leaving home at 4 30 am we arrived at site at 9 15.We unfortunately had not found any where to stop on way and we were in urgent need of toilet facilities. We were booked in for the night and called in to see if we could book in and just use toilets before going away and coming back later in the day.We were told we could book in but not park to use toilets.W have been members for 23 years and thought this unreasonable.I was very upset by this and would not have gone back to site if there had been other sites nearby. This incident marred my stay at what was otherwise a really nice site.

Stop over break

We stayed here for 3 days on the way back from the South Coast. We have been here before. We had booked a Super pitch. Nice welcome at reception, easy to find the pitch. Very large hard core pitch ( stayed on the same pitch last time!). Really like this site and the surrounding area. No negatives at all. Two local garden centres. The Burford Garden Centre is for lottery winners and the Lechlade Wyevale centre is for the general populus. Great offers in the Mountain Warehouse shop at Wyevale Garden Centre( don't forget you CC 15% discount even on sale prices ) We will revisit this site as both visits so far have been amongst the best we have experienced on a CC site.

Good Location

A very pleasant site in a good location, great open space around the pitches. Facilities up to date and well cared for. Two sets of wardens on sit one couple absolutely superb and very friendly Second couple not up to scratch, both rude and surly, the lady on duty in the office was even having a personal conversation about a BBQ and totally ignored club members waiting to be dealt with, not a good advert for the club !!!
