Lovely site

This is a very attractive site with lots of beautifully manicured grass and spacious pitches. The wardens are very helpful and all is clean and well tended. It is next to the Cotswold Wildlife Park which you can literally walk across the road to and it is well worth a visit. We would definitely recommend this site and look forward to a return visit.

Great Site

We stayed here for a week at the beginning of August 2016, great site, clean, well maintained, shower block always clean and tidy, the park was the best we've been to (even though there are no 'grown up' swings as my kids pointed out), friendly, helpful welcoming staff. Fantastic time had by all, would happily visit again.

A Jewel!

We have never 'done' a review before, but this site deserves one! We booked in here for 8 nights back in May on our way up to the Home Counties, where we were to stay for another 7 nights. After a couple of nights we decided to transfer our booking up country to extend our say at Burford by the 7 nights, as it was probably the best Club Site we have ever stayed at, and after 45 years we have stayed at a lot! The wardens were typically friendly and helpful, even though they were always keeping busy cleaning and keeping the site up to a very high standard, even seeming to paint the white lines and kerbstones weekly where members ran their tyres up against them (low profile tyres and expensive alloys are not often found on tow-tugs!). The site is well laid out, and we were lucky to have a prime pitch near the entrance, which was one of the best. As the site is only a few miles from RAF Brize Norton there is some aircraft noise during the day, which may affect some people, but we found it interesting to see the variety and size of the transports, and it added to our enjoyment of the site. Don't want to get too lyrical, as we might not be able to get on for our next visit, which will not be too long coming!

Weekend Break

Campsite convenient for the Cotswolds. Only complaint is there is no path on the main road into Burford so you could not cycle or walk there which was disappointing as we had our bikes with us. The site itself is very clean and quiet, a fish and chip van comes on a Friday. Excellent location for the wildlife park which is directly opposite and a lovely day out

Edward

We only spent a long weekend at Burford but it was most enjoyable. The toilet block was exceptionally clean and tidy. The grounds also were well kept and we will most certainly be returning.

Gem of the Cotswolds

Our first visit to this beautiful site but it certainly won't be the last. Superb pitches, excellent facilities and wonderful staff (including Brian - who should be volunteer of the year). Ideally placed for all the magnificent, historical towns and villages and directly opposite the Cotswold Wildlife Park which is very much worth a visit (discount vouchers are available from the site office). Dining at the Mermaid in Burford is also worth experiencing - very good service matched with equally good food (we even got 10% discount off the food bill by showing our Caravan Club membership card). Can't wait for the next time!!

Excellent Site

Just spent 3 nights at the site with my 10 year old granddaughter, we both enjoyed it so much did not want to come home! the site is well located with plenty to do in the area as well as the prettiest villages and scenery. The Cotswold Wildlife Park is a super day out with discounted tickets in reception. The Cotswold Farm Park (Adam Hensen's farm) was definitely a great day out and reduced price through the club voucher. Site facilities are excellent as usual and the sound of lions and monkeys in the park opposite add a touch of novelty.

Great Site

4 of us stayed for 3 nights earlier in July. Great site, Wardens very friendly. Arrived just shy of 8pm and was allocated a great pitch, Wildlife park opposite is good with the benefit of discount tickets from reception. Would highly recommend the site and will return. Facilities at a very good standard.
