Very good overnight stop

We only had one night on this site but would happily visit again and stay longer. Well sited for touring the Cotswolds area, not far from Burford and good choice of 3 very new supermarkets only 4 miles away.

A week at Burford

We arrived in good time, very helpful staff, let us choose a pitch, due to seeding on quite a few pitches,we found one we liked, toilets etc Wonderful, very clean, warm, and nonstop showers, thought the dog walk a bit small, other not suitable,to near road. The main problem we had,was not the site, but the Cotswold Wildlife Park, animals noisy at night,But there was a Wedding in the park on the Saturday, the music,(singer), very loud, untill midnight, which could cope with, unfortunately, the disco then started, continued until,approx,3am,could not sleep, and talking to other members the next day most had the same problem.i would like to know if the site as staff new beforehand of this, and could have forewarned us.

A Short Stay at Burford

We stayed at Burford with our brother and sister-in-law for just 2 nights. We were able to pitch on 2 adjacent pitches inspite of many grass pitches being closed due to re-seeding. The site has a good layout so that it doesn't feel overcrowded and is very well looked after, with lots of trees. The toilet block facilities are also immaculate. The Warden told us about walks from the site and printed routes are available for a donation to the Air Ambulance. We did a circular walk through lovely countryside and also a walk to Burford. All in all, a great stay! By the way, don't be surprised to hear lions roaring - the Cotswold Wildlife Park is opposite the site!

2 day break

Had a 2 day break at Burford and its in a good location with Burford town not far away. Good facilities and friendly staff. Ideally located to visit the wildlife park opposite and not too far for a visit to Chedworth Roman Villa, National Trust, which is very interesting with a guided tour.

Wonderfull Wardens !!!!!!

Due to our daughter and son in law living near to this site we have visited this site quite frequently over the past few years!!! Our recent visit was for the arrival of our new Grand daughter and due to her arriving a little late we had to extend our stay at the site for a few days !!! On all our visits this year I feel that we MUST compliment the wardens who are currently staying on this site !!!!! They have been the most welcoming and most obliging wardens that we have ever come across on all our visits and stays with the caravan club!!!!!!  Due to my husbands work commitments he had to return earlier than was planned this meant me driving the van back to our home in Cheshire by myself....I asked for a little help connecting our van ( this is something that I have not attempted yet on my own ) I was immediately  helped by one warden and when all was well he sent me on my way wishing me a safe journey home !!! NOTHING but NOTHING is too much trouble for the current four wardens on this site !!!!!  We look forward to seeing you all again on our trip back at the end of September and I truly hope that we meet you again on another caravan site in the future !!!!  THANKYOU AGAIN FOR BEING SO HELPFUL PLEASANT AND JOLLY !!!!!!

Surprised at how much I liked it

Our family and one other met by chance on the road from Swindon. Arrival at 12 of the Friday before bank holiday, didn't expect much in the way of choice or getting two pitches together. We were given a warm welcome and advised where some free pitches were. We initially wanted grass but ended up with pitches 54 & 55 both hard standing with a good amount of room behind to BBQ and chill. We were near the road but that was quiet at night, the block is cleverly split into two lots of male and female so one is always open when the other is closed for cleaning and save having another building. Usual club standards applied. The grass pitches looked a bit closer together than the hard standing. I've stated at Broadway and preferred Burford. It's only 90 mins from home for us and even when full to capacity the site was quiet and didn't feel so.  We really enjoyed Burford and our friends said the two dog walks were fine.  We are a family of four with kids 5 and 7 and really liked Burford, most of the nice Cotsworld villages are within 10-20 miles. I was very pleasantly surprised, wardens were very friendly. The zoo opposite is dog friendly and within walking distance, with discount tickets from the Reception.

This site is of the usual standards for caravan club sites, clean, open and nicely kept. It is great for caravanner's as you need transport to get into Burford or any of the other beautiful Cotswold Villages. It says on the map that you are 2 miles out of Burford, which is not too bad, but the road to get there is extremely busy and there is no footpath. To be fair, we did not ask at Reception if there was another route into the village. Being Bank Holiday it was very busy, and we were not happy with the pitch allocated to us on the Friday night, but were able to change on the Saturday morning. I would not come back to this site, simply because of the location and the amount of traffic that went into the Wildlife Park. The dog walk is also very small and close to the main road.

Good Site for Visiting the Cotswolds

A good site which we return to on a regular basis. Near to nice Cotswold villages but you really need some kind of transport as there is not much within walking distance. A reasonably peaceful site although some road noise if you get on the bottom side next to the road but that would only really be a problem if using an awning for sleeping in. Toilet block kept nice and clean except when children visiting and then there is the usual mess and unflushed or blocked toilets - it would be nice if they could be taught how to use the facilities in a more community minded spirit. If you are wanting some R & R and have a car with you for shopping or sight seeing, if you like the Cotswolds, you will like this site.

An excellent site

Toilet blocks beautifully kept, ideal touring centre for Cotswolds and Oxford. Plus easy access to the Cotswold Wildlife park with money off tickets from reception. We visited with our 7 year old grandson but would go back for a different range of tourist attractions for us.

A week at Burford

We (couple no children) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our fully serviced pitch (including tv booster cable) had plenty of space around it. There was a little road noise during the day but it didn't bother us at night. The site is well placed for touring the Cotswolds and appeared to be child friendly/safe. We would certainly stay here again.
