Autumn

First visit here very well laid out site we had a serviced pitch which had plenty of space only problem was that the hard standing was very hard bent my rock pegs trying to get them in. The site is opposite the Cotswold wild life park which is well worth a visit. There is aircraft noise from RAF Brize Norton just 3 miles away but if you like looking at planes then it's no bother. Wardens are sticklers for the rules but friendly. 2 dog walk's one of which is secure so you can let your dog off lead.Burford town is one to visit very charming.

A great site

This is a wonderful site in a lovely area. It is easily accessible. There is a great air of space here with lovely trees. Marvellous friendly and helpful staff. A good base to explore the Cotswolds.

Fabulous

Just spent the last two days a this fabulous site, even though I did fall foul of how I sited my caravan, ( saying that the warden did say it still complied with site rules) I still chose to resite it. Making the most of the autumnal weather we chose to spend the day at the Cotswold Wild Life Park across the road from the site. What a fantastic place, highly recommend a visit.

Clean, quiet and well situated site

Only stayed for one night on our way home from East Anglia, but the site was a lovely last stay at the end of our holiday. We did not hear a single animal noise from the adjacent animal park, but had the benefit of the site pidgeons clog dancing on the roof at the crack of dawn instead. Will definately return for a longer stay to enjoy some of the many nearby places of interests in the Cotswolds and Oxford.  It was interesting to note that this site had pitch availability when other Cotswold club sites were full. I would always give Burford a look if you are visiting the Cotswolds!

Love Burford

This is our 2nd visit & certainly not our last.Had a lovely sunny pitch, last time unfortunately we picked a shaded pitch so we were determined not to make the same mistake this time.Lovely friendly wardens, showers immaculate & the park is perfect! Lovely to hear the monkeys occasionally from the Cotswald park opposite,at other times it's a very peaceful.Unfortunately missed the chippy  van but will make sure we keep Friday clear next visit!

lots to see and do

This was our first stay at Burford and what a lovely site it is. There are 2 supermarkets in Carterton and the Chippy is on site every Friday. Very friendly and helpful wardens. We went to Bourton on the Water, spent a lovely day at the model village and motor museum, had a wander around the shops and if you like Christmas at any time of the year there is a shop called The Victorian Christmas shop. Blenheim palace is well worth a visit and you can upgrade your day ticket to a year long pass. If you have time take a stroll through Blenheims ground and head into Woodstock, or you can take a buggy ride through the grounds. We will return to this lovely peaceful site next year, PS, you can hear the animals at the cotswold park at night, but that was not a problem for us and we did play a game of guess the animal.

Beautiful Burford

Visited 20 - 28 September for our third time and certainly not our last. Very helpful and pleasant staff, well kept grounds, toilets and shower facilities spotlessly clean. Burford town is a beautiful and very old town, good pubs with good food and free parking too. Visit the Tourist Information Centre and book on a guided walk around the town which has a long and interesting history. Oxford city and University buildings another must visit - open top bus tour good, walking tour even better. Good supermarkets in the village of Casterton which is not far from the site by car. All the famous Cotswold villages are within a reasonable car ride away. Brize Norton Airforce base is very near, so there are some low flying aircraft. This is a site well worth visiting.

Cotswold class

My wife and I stayed for a week, returning on Friday. We have nothing but praise for the staff. Everything was spotless, the grass was well tended and facilities were excellent. We'd stayed for a couple of days last year and we vowed to return and are glad we did. Well done!

Burford 1st visit

Professionally run site. One of the best we've visited over the last 12 years. Lovely setting and so well kept. Helpful wardens and very convenient for Cotswold Wildlife Park. Must visit again and bring our granddaughter.

lovely quiet week

Just today returned home from a lovely quiet week at Burford, Cant speak highly enough of the very friendly and hard working wardens, they are doing a great job, will definitely return again, heard a little noise at night from the wildlife park but nothing to be worried about. certainly didn't affect my sleep....
