Very good site easy access to Oxford Park and Ride

Stayed for a long weekend as we were going to a meeting in Kidlington in Oxford. it took us 29-25 min from site to Kidlington which is not far from the Oxford Park and Ride There are facilities a valuable at the railway station of hi sided vehicles but if you contact Oxford Park and ride you can arrange to have access to a number of the sites they will arrange to open the barriers on specific days and time you can also book and pay for the park and ride on the web which can be quite useful if yo know exactly when you need the facilities. Unfortunatly we had to leave would have liked to have stayed a little longer thank you to all the people who help to keep the side.

Nice site, taxis expensive

We had a really nice pitch for our 8m motorhome and although close to the road the noise was not intrusive. Facilities were very good with lovely warm, clean shower rooms. The site staff were were very helpful, particularly to this couple of amateurs manoeuvring over the grey water disposal - apparently this is being upgraded later in the year to the continental style grid. The only thing I would caution about is that we were advised against walking the 2.5 miles into Burford because of the traffic, but local taxis know a captive audience when they see one and charge £10 each way.

Generally a good site

This is a tricky one. We travel in a motor home with two large dogs and look for sites with good walks for our dogs. This site is not the best in location for walking from the site. Busy road with no footpaths and country lanes that are quite busy and private fields. Although drivers are very courteous to walkers. So on both days of our visit we needed to drive to find walks. On the first day we drove to Burford and found free coach parking had a wonder around shops and then found a fabulous walk followed by pub lunch(area is very dog friendly). On the second day we drove to Burton-on-the-water used car park at £7.50 for four hours!!! There was no alternative parking. Lovely walks with several trails to follow again wonder around shops and pub lunch and once again dog friendly but very busy with coach parties. ... Back to site wardens lovely and shop is stocked with the basics . We didn't use toilets blocks so cannot comment the water and waste ares well kept and clean . Dog area very good for small dogs but quite small. Site was quiet and peaceful . Site not really for us but without big dogs and with children or if your looking for a quiet retreat would be perfect.

Lovely and relaxing

This holiday park is amazing for a quiet relaxing holiday. There is a park on site which our 7 year old daughter loved to play in and the small wooded are was good to build a den. There is nothing else on site to do but we went for a relaxing holiday and have come home feeling really refreshed.  There is a chip van that comes round on a Friday night and the food from there was lovely.  All the staff are polite and friendly. Security is good only people on site can drive on and off site. The toilet block was clean and warm and the showers were wonderful. We did not want to leave it was an amazing experience and will recommend it to everyone.

Cotswold Magic

We have been to this site a number of times and it never disappoints. Good location with easy access. This time the white post and rail fences at the road junctions were rather restrictive for siting on some pitches. They also made it very tight to get round some corners. Overall though it was another great holiday.

Lovely Location

6th Annual visit to this nice site to visit friends nearby and always a great excuse ( if you need one) to enjoy this lovely part of the Cotswolds. Treated ourselves to a serviced pitch again which is always a bit more relaxing from the usual "chores" each morning. The pitches are a good size and the site facilities excellent and well looked after by the site team. Love the Wildlife Park opposite with all the new arrivals this year and of course the site is great for exploring the eastern end of the cotswolds.

Autumn

First visit here very well laid out site we had a serviced pitch which had plenty of space only problem was that the hard standing was very hard bent my rock pegs trying to get them in. The site is opposite the Cotswold wild life park which is well worth a visit. There is aircraft noise from RAF Brize Norton just 3 miles away but if you like looking at planes then it's no bother. Wardens are sticklers for the rules but friendly. 2 dog walk's one of which is secure so you can let your dog off lead.Burford town is one to visit very charming.

A great site

This is a wonderful site in a lovely area. It is easily accessible. There is a great air of space here with lovely trees. Marvellous friendly and helpful staff. A good base to explore the Cotswolds.

Fabulous

Just spent the last two days a this fabulous site, even though I did fall foul of how I sited my caravan, ( saying that the warden did say it still complied with site rules) I still chose to resite it. Making the most of the autumnal weather we chose to spend the day at the Cotswold Wild Life Park across the road from the site. What a fantastic place, highly recommend a visit.
