Great site

Lovely site, plenty of room between pitches, great wardens, clean facilities, quiet, absolutely no complaint about any aeroplane or any other noise. Good play area. Lovely Easter egg hunt for all the family. Highly recommend.

A very friendly welcome on arrival and wardens are always ready at hand to help with any issues that we may have had!!!! Very clean site, would definitely recommend a stay here!! Top weekend

We stayed here over this years easter break. arriving on the Wednesday to find the site fairly empty surprisingly so we had a vast choice of wide pitches. Staff were fab check in very smooth. Whole area is stunning and loads of walks and things to do nearby such as the Cotswold Wildlife Park, fabulous. We stayed on the side nearest the wildlife park quite a bit away from the kids area, phew, but in front of the dog walk which is well hidden, there is another dog walking area slightly better in my opinion near the front entrance. Lots to do and see, would we come back oh yes fabulous place.

Lovely site great location for wildlife park

We had a nice stay here over the bank holiday weekend. We arrived on Easter Sunday and had booked a serviced pitch, there was only one left and it was a bit tricky to get into as pitches opposite were full but we managed. The pitch was nice and wide and level however the bollard was such a long way away our electric cable only just reached (25m) and our tv aerial (20m) didn't reach so we had to add an extra length with a connector as I refused to buy one from the shop as never had a problem before. The site was pretty busy but it was nice and peaceful and I didn't notice much traffic noise. The nearby RAF base at Brize Norton was quiet over the bank holiday weekend but we did notice some plane noise on the Tuesday but it wasn't too bad. The play area was great for our 12 year old and there was enough space for ball games as well. The facilities were nice and clean and I never had to queue so that was good. The dog walk was small but adequate and secure, the dogs loved having a run around. We were given directions for a short walk to a recreation area in a nearby village for a bit more space. It is in a perfect location for Cotswold Wildlife Park as you can buy a discounted ticket from the shop (cash only) and walk to the park from the site, we all enjoyed a great day out there. All in all a lovely site for a short break

Lovely Site

We stayed here on the Easter Bank Holidsy weekend. It was our first visit to this site and we would stay here again. The staff on arrival and throughout our stay were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were spotless with lashings of hot water available to shower/wash in. Dishwashing facilities were indoors with 6 sinks (I think) and again they were very clean. The pitches themselves were of a good size making it easy to put your car, caravan and awning on them, with a grass area in between for your use. TV reception is not good but with ports on the electric bollards and a TV lead (available at reception if you haven't got one), this wasn't a problem at all. We were on the side by the Wildlife Park and although there was only a 'lane' behind us it was quite busy, especially when people were leaving the Park, however, it didn't really bother us too much and during the night it wasn't an issue at all. We cycled a short distance around the lanes in the area and the countryside is beautiful. Burford is not large but is a quintessential English village and has just enough shops/tea rooms/pubs to keep you interested. There's quite a lot of free parking in the village as well, which was a pleasant surprise. There are plenty of places to visit not too far away if you want to, such as Oxford, so it's a good base. My only criticism - Friday night is fish & chip night and a mobile chip van is on site between 5-7pm. My advice would be to go earlier rather than later as we went at about 6.15pm, only to find there was a 45 minute waiting time for your food and after they took the order of the people in front of us in the queue ....... we were told they'd run out!!!! Nothing to do with the site I know and not their fault at all, just mentioning it to make people aware. A good site, well run and very happy to recommend it.

Beautiful spacious site

This is a lovely well established site with helpful wardens. Very close to the beautiful Cotswolds with pretty villages and excellent walking. Pitches well spaced and large. Some road noise but not excessive. Some aircraft noise but not constant.TV reception practically non-existent but the EHU bollards have a digital TV socket. Wi-Fi works but is very slow. Nearest supermarkets are in Carterton but not very good - had to go to Witney to get what we wanted - the extra distance to travel is worth it.

Ok-ish

Nice site but showers need updating. Only a narrow ledge to sit on and could do with extra hooks. Very handy for Cotswold Wildlife Park. Tv not good on all pitches, having said all that, we would return

Lovely relaxing stay

Our first time to this site and really enjoyed it, lovely large pitches and friendly and helpful wardens. There are no walks from the site but plenty of walking to be had around the villages close by. We did lovely walks from Bibury, Burford, Charlbury and North Leach must return so we can explore the area more. Lots of tea rooms and pubs in the area also and most dog friendly.
