Great views

A well run site with fantastic views. We were on the front row, which is best for the views. A good location for stopping off en route North. We stayed 2  nights in our motorhome. A bit disappointed with opportunities for walking in the immediate area so wouldn't have wanted a longer stay.

Wonderfull place to stay. View is amazing.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our campervan. Really enjoyed the location. Visited the Loch Ness, Ben Nevis and the Glenfinnan viaduct. Good shopping facilities in Fort William. Staff also very friendly and helpful.

What a find!

What a fantastic quiet little place sat on the side of the Loch. The entrance to this site is quite small when you are booking in, but once through the barrier its lovely.  The views from the from row (non awning) are excellent and we managed to get a great view from our second row.  Some pitches would not benefit from the view so when its full you may miss out. The bathroom facilities are excellent as we have come to expect from CC sites, and the wardens were very helpful. Seems to have its own climate though, everyday we went out and had lovely weather and came back to the site to see it has been raining heavily. There is a playground for children to play and the site is reasonably flat. All pitches are hard-standing and quite level. I will certainly be returning to this site as it is an ideal stop over in Scotland when heading north.

great site

2nd visit here, have only used as a stopover whilst heading further north up to now but would like to have a longer stay at some point, great site and facilities, stunning views and plenty to do within a relatively short distance.

Almost Perfect

Top marks for location, facilities all up to usual Caravan Club standard.  We stopped for two separate nights on our way to Skye and on the way back.  Luxury after rustic sites on Skye!  Excellent walks from the site including the Waterfall walk where we saw plenty of red squirrels at their feeding station.  What a bonus!  Only downside was that we couldn't receive satellite TV because of the hill behind the site. The wardens didn't know what to suggest but we did find out from other members that picking the right pitch is essential.  If you are enjoying the great views TV is unnecessary but with the mixed weather that we had it would have been a consolation.

Stunning views

Bunree has stunning views across Loch Linnhe, especially if you're lucky enough to secure one of the loch side pitches. Bunree is great place for families wanting to get a taste of the Highlands, and it makes a great base from which to explore all that Lochaber has to offer; if you get chance take the Corran ferry and head off to Ardnamurchan Point, the most westerly mainland point in the UK. When we made a stopover there in late July this year on our way back from Sutherland and Caithness we did find the place rather overrun by dogs and children on bikes, which made a trip to the toilet block rather interesting at times!

Wonderful location

We used this site as a stop-over on a longer journey but it would have been worth staying there for the location itself. Fantastic views and excellent walks from the site to the nearby waterfalls and the opportunity to successfully observe red squirrels. Facilities both clean and good. Welcoming and friendly wardens. Would definitely want to stay again.

Pleasant surprise

We stayed one night only and it was our first time there. We had a pleasant surprise when we saw the site, it was lovely and open, sitting on the edge of the loch, yet in a very sheltered spot among the hills. Although we were not on the loch front we still had a nice view of it. The site was very clean and tidy, toilets and showers were clean, although a little dated. Wardens were friendly and there seemed to be plenty of them. It is also a very private site, which lies at the end of a narrow lane, away from the main road. We will definitely visit this site again. If I had one concern it would the small children playing around on bicycles. I know the roads are 5 mph but children are not aware when a car or motorhome is reversing off a pitch. I would prefer if all club sites used their spare grassy area in the middle to make a track for children to cycle safely on, away from the site roads.

Breathtaking

We stayed here for two nights.  We enjoyed every minute even though the weather wasn't the best. The scenery and outlook from our motorhome was nothing less than amazing.  The staff were very helpful, kind and friendly.  There's a local eatery that is within easy walking distance and very nice but no shop within easy reach for those without a car.  We did cycle the distance to the nearest shop but the road was very busy so we wouldn't really advise it.  We will definitely go back though to explore the area more thoroughly and next time take more supplies.
