fabulous views

Ideal location if you want peace and relaxtion. The views are amazing. Staff very friendly and keep grounds and facilities spotless. More suited to couples than families. Bar serving food within walking distance also nearby ferry ride to pub across loch (free to foot passengers but £8 if you go by car). Dog enjoyed his stay too.

Fabulous Caravan Site!

This is the first time we stayed at Bunree. It was a very well laid out site; all pitches were within easy distance of the toilet blocks and utilities such as washing machines etc. It also had a very lovely fenced off play area in the middle of the site for children to play. The toilet blocks etc were immaculate and the wardens work exceptionally hard in keeping all the grounds, toilets, showers etc so clean and presentable for all to use. For that I thank them! The site is situated very well in that you can visit Glencoe easily and partake is lots of excellent walks. The wild life is in abundance and views magnificent. Although the wardens had put up polite and clear signs everywhere asking members to keep their distance from nesting local wildlife in one 'small' area of the loch, this was unfortunately ignored by a few members who felt the needs of their dogs far surpassed that of the local wildlife allowing dogs off leads who ran around all the nesting areas which must of caused distress. Being dog owners ourselves keeping them on the lead was not an inconvenience as when you left the site there was an abundance of areas to walk your dogs. I was also perturbed to see the odd dog left in a caravan for the whole day. Taking into consideration that the weather was exceptionally warm and especially humid at times I can only assume the dogs must have been extremely warm in the caravans especially when all windows are locked for security as was proved by the distressing barking…

Pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

My  hubby and I have just spent the most amazing week at this gorgeous site. We were so lucky to have managed to get a pitch right on the edge of the loch. The site is beautiful and it really does take a few days to get your breath back after the views take it away. The facilities are the old style but they are spotlessly clean a real tribute to the staff. It is so peaceful just being able to sit and enjoy the sunset and watch the seals playing in the water right in front of you  Fort William is a lovely little town within easy reach and a great central point for days out. Boat trips, train trips, cable car rides all within a few miles of the centre. There is a wonderful lock system not far out of town called Neptunes staircase on the Caladonian canal. Food is wonderful plenty of fish restaurants if you love fish you are in for a treat. The small town of Oban is a lovely lively place with plenty of places to watch the ferries coming and going. The Jacobite steam train is a lovely journey through the Scottish countryside. This holiday has been incredible and I can't wait to return

Last minute change of plan

We decided to add another stop on our way back home from Skye so only booked this the day before arrival with very little research into suitability. We were amazed at the scenery and found a good dog friendly place to eat at the Onich Hotel. Wardens and other caravanners were all friendly. We will definitely book ahead next time so that we can secure one of the pitches next to the loch, even though we had a good view from the one in the middle of the site. You are allowed to park your caravan so that you can enjoy the view, this will mean manually manoeuvring the caravan but will be worth it.

With a view like this, it's worth the drive.

The view across the Loch from absolutely anywhere on site is jaw dropping. The colours, the sky, the mountains, the valleys, just an awesome combination. Close to so many attractions, Jacobite Line, Ben Nevis, Glencoe, and then a bit further afield to Skye, Oban and the Western Isles, this made an ideal touring base. I agree about the walking, we have two collies and really had to take them out in the car so they could get a decent walk. I try to cycle too, but this is very difficult considering how busy the A82 is, although Highlands Council are in the process of building a cycle path. That being said, putting the dogs in the car to let them have a walk is a small negative compared to the views freely available on site. Hugh Kerr

Another success

Our third visit although for only one night on our way to the Outer Hebrides but we look forward to this site. We had a problem with the 13 pin plug on our new caravan but the wardens could not have been more helpful and unquestionably saved the day as we only just managed to get to Mallaig in time for our ferry. Thanks a million. Brilliant and probably the best Club site. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Excellent location

Only stayed one night here but something I will extend on my next visit. Excellent site and the most friendly and helpful staff of all the sites I visited. Well done it truly makes a difference when travelled long distances.

Just lovely

We arrived two weeks ago to a lovely welcome from the assistant warden couldn't have been more helpful of obliging. The site entrance was neat tidy and colourful, as was the whole site, we had an six night stay but could have stayed longer. Unfortunately didn't meet the Wardens but am assured they are equally helpful. One more thing I even saw the lady assistant picking up litter off the pebbles at the side of the loch!! We also had the most wonderful weather.
