Cold Weekend.

Another great couple of nights at this site. It was very cold , but more than made up for by some dry weather, as the walking out from Broadway is really good with some fantastic scenery from the more elevated locations. We had one of the serviced pitches which was great, water and drainage right on your doorstep, hopefully the club will start to provide more of these as they are well worth the extra cost. The wardens where great as usual and dealt really well with a site wide power cut that lasted most of Saturday. I was a bit disappointed with one of our members who thought they where to good to wait in the line of vans to check in, and jumped the queue. Shame on you whoever you are.

Lovely site & location

We stayed here for a long weekend during February. The site is easy to access with no tricky country lanes and within walking distance to lovely Broadway. We managed to walk to Broadway Tower from the site which is a good walk with a decent climb but very much worth it for the view. Broadway itself is pretty with lots of little pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. We ate and drank at the Crown & Trumpet which is dog friendly, with a good selection of real ales and typical pub grub. The site was full which shows how popular it is for a cold February weekend. The wardens did a good job of keeping the site tidy, however the site did have a problem with the electrics on all pitches and toilet blocks, which did get sorted. We will be back and certainly recommend.

Perfect weekend break.

We booked this site only a week before. And were not disappointed with our choice. A warm welcome and easy booking in. We were given a choice of pitches and I think we had one of the nicest and quietest ones. Toilet block was Immaculate. The showers were roomy and water hot. Easy walk into the town. The walk to Broadway Tower not so easy, but follow the path and you will eventually reach the summit. What a view you get so well worth it. Try the fish and chips shop on the way followed by a pint in one of the many pubs. A beautiful club site for a long weekend break. We will definitely be back here.

5 star site in a 5 star location

Stayed at the site for a long weekend in mid February, it has easy access ( no narrow country lanes to navigate). Wardens are so warm and welcoming. The site is so clean and cared which would explain why it was nearly full even though the weather was cold, wet and a bit windy. We did not need to use our car all weekend as we could walk easily into Broadway to access Budgens for supplies. We used the dog walk on site, nice and secure allowing our two dogs a chance of a run off their leads safely without fear of escape. We have stayed here many times on the years, but this is the first time since it had service pitches and loads of other improvements, we will certainly be staying here again, that is if we can get in. A lovely lovely site.

2nd Visit to this site

We have just come back from 3 nights at this site, it was our 2nd visit to the site in 8 months. We love this site which is only a 15 minute stroll into the charming village of Broadway. Next to the site is a train station which will carry passenger steam trains later in the spring. The facilities were spotless & warm, in my last review I stated that the site doesn't have a children's play area but this has now been rectified. The dog walk area is very small & nothing more than an area for your dog to do their toilet, you couldn't exercise your dog there. There are some lovely pubs which are dog friendly including the Crown & Trumpet which is the one we visited. We visited in mid February & the weather was good with clear blue skies which makes a difference. The site in general is quite and peaceful would advise to book well in advance as it was fully booked when we were there. In Broadway there is a Budgens mini supermarket which has everything you need albeit a pricey. We will return to this site sometime in future.

A chance to catch up with family

A weekend here gave us a good chance to catch up with family as the site is central to the various parts of the UK in which we all live. As the only 'campers' we are always pleased to find a site that is close to hotels where other family members can stay. Broadway (a quick ten minute walk away) worked really well for this with lovely cafe's, pubs and shops. There is lots to do in the area although the fog and rain meant that our views from the Broadway Tower were not great! The site itself and the facilities are spotless. The welcome from wardens was warm and efficient. Great that the showers etc are cleaned in the afternoon when most people don't need to use them. Highly recommended site.

Another blissful week

Just spent another peaceful week st one of our favourite sites. Fairly quiet and bitterly cold but that didn't stop us exploring the beautiful scenery " on our doorstep". Stow in the Wold , Moreton in Marshm Evesham and Pershore all within easy reach. Great 40s style cafe on Stowe, dog friendly and delicious cakes. Site well up to its usual standard, the wardens friendly and helpful. A lovely winter break.

Excellent As Always

Great site in a lovely location. Plenty of walking straight from the front gate but a short car drive takes you to many of the Cotswolds 'hotspots' and NT properties. Very friendly wardens who keep the site and facilities in top notch condition. Shame they were compelled to put a notice up by the dog walk asking 'users' to dispose of dog mess in the appropriate bin and not to throw it over the fence onto the newly laid heritage railway line - unbelievable!!! On a brighter note, the said line is almost finished and will open to Broadway Station at Easter. Some of the pitches on the top area of the site will provide good views if you're interested in steam trains.

Cotswold gem

Stayed here again for 4 nights late January fantastic site been here several times over the past few years, site has been very much improved of late with several full serviced pitches. All pitches are in excellent condition with wide hard standings. The toilet blocks are spotless clean and are cleaned in the afternoon so there is no need for a rush in the mornings very good idea i think. We have found the wardens to be very friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble. The steam railway will be open to Broadway from Cheltenham on Good Friday this year which will make this site very busy ( probably need to book early for peak times ). We have booked another break for later this year.

Best of the best, so far!

Brilliant site, immaculately clean toilet blocks, and well maintained landscaping. Living in Birmingham, we like to try and get out of the city whenever possible. Broadway ticks the boxes, as it is only 1hr away. Site wardens are always so welcoming and happy to help. We have stopped there three times so far, with at least two more already booked this summer. I am a volunteer at the GWSR, which will be reopening the line up to Broadway at Easter, giving amazing, cheap access in to Cheltenham and beyond, on the doorstep, all by steam or heritage diesel trains. The site is a victim of it's own success though, as you have to book VERY early to get a pitch, as so many people want to stay there. There is a little noise from the two roads that flank the site, however, they are 30 and 40mph roads, so the traffic noise isn't too bad.
