Beautiful Broadway

Just back from a 4 night visit to this site. This is the first time we have visited Broadway, but it won’t be our last. Very easy flat walk into the centre, lots of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, as well as a good deli, a supermarket and some interesting independent shops. The steam train now runs from outside the site to Cheltenham, a good day out, as well as lots of good walks on the Cotswold Way. The site is flat, quiet, and has friendly wardens. A wooded dog walk is on site if you want a lazy day!! Good site if you have a motorhome. We will be back.

Wonderful

We are just back from a weeks stay here - we were first timers at Broadway and have nothing but praise for all aspects of our stay. From our arrival until departure the staff we friendly and courteous and happy to share a joke or laugh - we had contact with all 4 and all were so pleasant- no complaints there at all. The site and facilities were always spotless and to have ‘Wanderer’ on site was a real plus - what a great piece of history. Another plus was having the steam train running behind the site, we got as close as we could, I was like a kid in a candy shop every time it went by, up on my feet to watch it go by, I have seen a reviewer concerned about the noise - it only runs during the middle of the day and in no way disturbs, it’s a great attraction that we took advantage of, travelling from Broadway to Cheltenham Racecourse and back. It may have been our first visit - it won’t be your last 😊👍

Back at last to Our Favorite Site

After 3 years We returned to Broadway on June 24th for a 6 night stay, one word describes this gem of a site "Perfect" it always feels like we have reached home!. As always our thanks to the wonderful wardens who all work very hard to make our stay safe & faultless. They keep the site so well maintained. We had the added bonus of wall to wall sunsine the whole week so did not venture far but we have visited the area many times in the past so we opted to enjoy relaxing on the site apart from lovely lunches in Broadway, Bourton on the Water & Evesham, the rest of the time, well my excuse to stay & watch the steam/diesel trains from our pitch 106.I found it very nostalgic because the engine shed on site which is now the toilet block & home for the wonderfully resored historic caravan. i note there are a few negative views about the railway but in my weeks observing, the trains always run quite past the site with regulator closed albiet the odd whistle! they start running 10:50am until approx 4pm so nil disruption to a peicefull morning lay in or relaxing evening hey i think it's fantastic & to be so close & all included in the site fee! Anyhow with a blink of the eye our week was over & we found ourselves packing away & heading back to our proper home. We will definatly be Back.

Just a few irritants for us

This is an excellent in many respects and the friendly wardens deserve credit. The beautiful landscape is tarnished by the unending green vegetation. What a shame somebody has not planned the site with more colourful vegetation. They new motorhome service point is conveniently located and has the new grid system. What a shame that the hose is nowhere near long enough to effectively sluice. The toilet blocks are excellent except for the smell of creosote in the former good shed conversion. There is noise from the road and from the preserved railway. Everything else is six stars!

Great location in a beautiful part of the UK

Just had a great 3 nights stay at this lovely location. As other recent reviews have said, not only is it very well maintained, clean with very friendly staff, but it's location right next to the newly reopened GWR steam railway extension makes it a must for anyone old or young who likes to see a steam train go by! Add to that the beautiful village of Broadway is just a short walk up the road and the newly opened station literally just over the road gives you access to Cheltenham via a very pleasant hour long ride.

Quite site

It would be very nice site but one thing spoils it, there are just two many dogs about, some members had up to five, you certainly see the difference when visiting a private site where most charge a fee,I am not against dogs but it is now getting out of hand and the club is becoming CMC&Dog owners club.

Great site especially for steam railway enthusiasts.

For us the big attraction was to be able to stay at this site which is next to the newly opened station on the GWR steam railway. We stayed for the steam gala which was excellent. The site is a very pleasant site, nicely laid out and well kept. We found a pitch with a grass area behind us. The toilet blocks are clean and modern with a late cleaning time which suits me well. The visiting pizza vendors produce excellent hand made pizzas. It is a 20 minute walk into Broadway itself with many nice places to eat, mostly not cheap though even if the meals we had were good quality. There are walks to take including to Broadway Tower which quite a walk up the hill. The Crown and Trumpet pub is cheaper, feels like a local, good beer and food, and has music nights. Get the right pitch and you can watch the steam trains pass. They are not too noisy, or frequent and they add to the atmosphere of the site. The staff look after this site well. It is one we will certainly go back to.

C and C again

Lovely Site

We went to the site for the second week of the easter holiday, although the weather tried to dampen our stay we had a lovely time. The GWSR was a lovely experience and being able to watch the steamies going past the top of the site a few times a day was great for the kids. I would highly recomment the Pizza Man who came to the site on the monday we were there. They are made and cooked to order so he was able to cater for our dairy intolerant child, meaning we could all enjoy pizza for tea and they were delicious. The Play area on site is ok it has a couple of swings, some climbing equipment and a roundabout and kept the children entertained for a while. There is also a larger play park in Broadway itself that you could lose the kids in for a couple of hours, signposted as the activity park. We will definitely be returning to this site in the future, the staff were welcoming and helpful and always had a smile and a wave for the children.

Great Easter break and Train ride

The site is easy to get to and we had an easy arrival process even though it was busy with a queue at the gate, which was well marshaled. It was easy to find a suitable pitch fro our 7.7m Bessacarr 572 and we opted for one about 50m from the toile block. Good sized pitches and there is plenty of space to manurer onto the pitch. The toilets, showers, wash basins etc. were of an excellent standard and we made good use of them during our 3 night stay. Good selection of essentials in the reception shop and there is also a small shop in the petrol garage opposite the site entrance. We stayed loyal to the site shop though. Easy walk into the Broadway along a path and there are some good shops and pubs in the village. Had a ride up to NT Snowhill manor which is well worth a visit as the place is full of interesting collections from around the world. The three days were soon over and we agreed that we would come again although i think i would prefer the off season price than the Easter holiday rate which was about GBP32 per night. We used the Steam train into Cheltenham which was very interesting and lasts for about an hour including the three or four stops. Overall a great stay and will come back
