Glorious Broadway!

First visit to a site post lockdown and not disappointed! Well maintained site with excellent COVID19 procedures in place. Easy walk into Broadway with all shops, pubs and eateries open. Good walk up to Broadway Tower with cake and coffee as reward!

Lovely site

We had a nice time at this site and found that the necessary restrictions didn’t cause too much inconvenience other than having to get up a bit earlier to avoid queuing. There is a good bus service to Stratford and the walk into Broadway itself is 15 minutes via a safe path. Broadway is nice but was extremely busy with far too many people making social distancing difficult. One negative point was regarding the amount of dogs on site. Many people had two, three even four dogs. We love animals but found the lack of respect for people without dogs somewhat disappointing. One lady seemed to think it acceptable to allow her dog, on a longer than 2 metre extending lead, enter our pitch. She stood and waited while her dog sniffed around our pitch then urinated no more than a couple of metres from us sitting outside eating our dinner! Of course we should have said something to her but were so shocked we just sat there in disbelief. Sadly this behaviour is becoming more and more commonplace. We experienced similar problems on most sites we visited during our 11 night holiday on five Caravan and Motorhome Club sites. The visiting pizza van is excellent.

Not enough facilities for small caravans

I really like the Broadway site, well maintained , close to the village and lovely walks close by. However, having a small caravan , we more dependent on the shower / toilet facilities than the bigger outfits, and they are insufficient at the moment. 117 pitches and only 2 allowed in the facilities at any one time, there was some long queueing. I fully understand the coronavirus restrictions, but if I had probably would not have booked if I had known how restricted the facilities were.

Excellent Stay

Having just recently returned from Broadway on our first visit all I can say is that it excellent even during these strange times. We had never managed to visit before but have already booked for next year, the site staff were more than helpful and cheery with telling us about surrounding areas to all the extra work they had to do to help keep us all safe, yes it maybe awkward for the smaller Van's with limited amenities to cope as the previous review may state but surely everyone's safety comes first. The site its self for us was great we managed to get pitch 117 and what a bonus great spot with great views. Cannot comment on site facilities as we used our own in the van. If you get lucky and can book this site then you will not be disappointed, on a couple of nights there is a pizza van and chippy van that come to Site. The village itself is a 10-15 min walk away with cafes pubs and eateries plus many little independent shops. Finally for such an idyllic spot it is very easy to get to. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again to the Club and the Wardens for all the extra effort in these times.

Disappionted 2nd visit

I was surprised to find when I arrived to be told that only 1 toilet block was open. The block that was open in the ladies had 3 showers, toilets and sinks and the men only had 2 of each and the queue in the morning was not good. As the site was full and there was a lot of small motorhomes on the pitches there was a need for more facilities. I know with covid-19 there are a lot of resrictions but there was a need for more facilities if the site is full. I had stayed at this site before and found it a nice site but until this pandemic is over I will not be returning.

Return to Nearly Normal

Just stayed at this site on the weekend of its reopening. We were a little anxious about what to expect, but everything was very well organised and clearly a big effort had been made to make everything as safe as possible. A big thank you to the wardens for making the weekend as close to normal as they could. We are regular visitors to this site and will certainly be returning soon.

A role model site

Another visit to this lovely site. Fully serviced pitch was excellent as usual and the Steam railway close by is a nice feature. Staff welcome, cleanliness, pitch condition etc all spot on and very well maintained. Although there is a children's playground, the local area is not a particularly exciting place for kids and thus why I have lowered the star rating for this feature. As we were at the end of the first long straight, we did notice that there were many cars that appeared to be exceeding the speed limit as they approached the bend at the end. The wardens did remind us about the speed limit when we arrived so they are doing their bit. My only other gripe was with the inconsiderate people next to us that decided it was a good idea to go out for the evening and leave their dog alone in the van, it was barking and whining constantly for 2 to 3 hours.

Another Great Stay

Despite the atrocious weather, the location of this site means that you can easily get out and about either on foot in the car. The hard standing pitches really came into their own although it's a shame that the dog wash has disappeared - it would be really useful after a long muddy walk!! The new adjacent long stay car park (primarily for the railway station) has four electric vehicle charging points (for anybody who may find that of interest). Great facilities - lovely and clean. Thanks to the wardens.

Great First Site

This was our very first visit to a Caravan and Motorhome club site and we weren’t disappointed. The wardens were so welcoming and helpful when we arrived. The facilities are spotless and the site is just a short walk from Broadway. Had a meal at The Crown and Trumpet Inn - great food, dog friendly and a lovely character pub. Owner and staff very friendly. Hope to come back to take a train ride into Cheltenham on the GWSR.

Great Break & Location

We have stayed at this site previously which is ideal and within easy walking distance into Broadway (10 mins ) . Site is nice and clean and is a credit to the wardens. We will certainly return.
