For the first time in 42 years the good lady and I decided to have Christmas away with friends and where better than with our caravan and at a site that we enjoy visiting. Decision made and Broadway was booked for 6 nights. We wanted to stay over new year but the site was fully booked already.
Why Broadway? - it's a great site with great countryside to visit and to top it all, there's a steam railway alongside, what's not to like.
This was our 4th time at the site and we've always enjoyed our stays. The wardens and staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome. Xmas eve and there was a drinks and nibbles party laid on by the wardens and it was a chance to meet and chat to other folk staying on the site. A most enjoyable evening.
Nearly every van had made some sort of effort to put up lights and at night the site was well illuminated as a result. The guy opposite us had a fantastic light display and everyone stopped and looked. I might even take more lights next year ...... yes we're already booked for Xmas 2020.
My good lady needs use of the disabled toilet facilities and her requirements are, easy access, clean and warm. The Broadway facilities hit the mark with all three of her requirements. Happy wife = happy husband!
If you haven't been to Broadway before, do it in 2020 and if you haven't been away for Xmas before, do it in 2020.
Stayed at this site for 3 nights over the New Year and really impressed ! - good sized pitches with excellent and very clean facilities, only a short walk into Broadway which has some great pubs and places too eat.
Staff really helpful and polite.
Some good walks and lots to see with lots of surrounding history - we will be back for sure in the not too distant future.
Our stay was a short o/night one 6-December-2019 - it was wonderful - the site is faultless!
Very easy location to find - very s/fwd access - the pitches themselves are very well placed & proportioned AND this was the FIRST site where no levelling was required for our motorhome (we noticed also the same applied to practically all other outfits, no levels)
Facilities are excellent & perfectly clean - one of the blocks is in the original train station for the leisure railway which runs close by & is enchanting (with a restored vintage caravan on display)
The train which ran by during our stay was a 'Santa Special' (crewed by elves) - many delighted children waving out! BTW: there is no noise / no disruption from the trains which occasionally run (& they are gorgeous)
Many thanks for great stay
We stayed over Christmas 2019 and had a lovely time. The site was just about full with a very pleasant air, and the Wardens organised a drinks/Mince Pie get together on Christmas Eve.
Throughout the eight days the site as kept very clean and tidy, but without any fuss and the Wardens were not intrusive - just helpful.
Broadway is a super place to locate yourself, with Stow, Cirencester, Stratford and Worcester all roughly the same distance, and all worth a visit. It is a welcome 10 minute stroll into Broadway which has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Walking in the area is also very good with plenty of footpaths. Finally, we were close to the Goods Shed and enjoyed the steam trains coming and going - only about 3-4 a day.
All in all, an excellent visit and we would certainly return.
Having lived a few miles away from a broadway, we know the area well. The site is a real gem. Easy navigation, immaculate, facilities tip top as you’d expect from the CMC. A last minute booking for 7 nights over Christmas, we were welcomed in with our RV and settled in for the festive period. Our wardens were amazing, approachable, friendly and so welcoming. Had quite a laugh with them all.
Only notable thing were the speeds at which some members were driving. This isn’t just at this site, but all. I guess as members we need to let them know rather than just the wardens getting stick all the time.
A big thanks anyway. We’ll be back for sure. Happy New Year - here’s to the Touring Twenties!!
Having stayed here 2 years ago we knew what to expect, i'ts a lovely site more interesting than some being on 2 levels and with great views. Perfect location for Broadway walking distance. My only little negative was the top shower block housed with the museum railway museum building, was not as warm as usual shower blocks and because they are not tiled showers they are, although fairly new, beginning to show a little wear and are also on the smaller side. Apart from that, its a top site for everything else.
This is our 2nd visit to the site both times for my husbands birthday. We love it here as it is so peaceful and the facilities are always spotless. We stayed on the top pitch looking out onto the railway line unfortunately no trains were running but lovely spot near the dog walk ideal for us with our springer and also close to the toilet block. Short walk into the village and a lovely dog friendly pub The Crown and Trumpet that does lovely food. Friendly wardens. We found the lightning on the site good. We will be back
We have been to this site several times. It’s very well kept and facilities are kept to high standards. But our only complaint is poor lighting around site, make sure you have a decent torch even the lights by water were very dim. Conversely the lights in toilets are on all night, why not on sensors.
There were no trains running as apparently November is maintenance month, good reason to return when they are
This was our first use of a Caravan Club Site and we were not disappointed.
We arrived just after midday and so avoided some of the queues which formed later during registration; staff were polite, informative and always ready to help. At this time of year the site was busy but not full so we were able to go an choose our pitch. We tend to like to be away from folks so this was perfect and found an excellent pitch at the far end of the site which was level and gave ample room for awnings and car parking (though we were a motorhome).
Location is great and is a simple 10 minute walk into Broadway centre which is lovely. Two great museums (suitable for any ages) and of course the galleries, shopping and eating were top class. Will definitely visit again at the time.
