Our trip to Broadway for the Christmas shopping night

Just love Broadway and come every year for the Christmas Friday night. I have to say the wardens work very hard to keep the shower block clean and the site. My husband and I are very disappointed at the amount of dogs using any grass area to do their business, especially the grass behind pitches opposite the shower block. Whilst we were there a lady on pitch 45 just walked behind the Caravans letting her two highland terriers do their business. Do they not know there is a dog walk or perhaps they just don’t care.

Another lovely stay, super staff.

Just had 4 lovely nights at Broadway. This site never fails to please. From the warm friendly welcome to leaving we had a great break. The staff do a fantastic job keeping the site up to club standards, toilet blocks are spotlessly clean as is the whole site. Staff working quietly getting everything done. Just wish that all members were so careful, why can people not rise sinks after washing up and remove food bits.....would they do it at home? We had reason to move pitches during our stay and staff were very happy for us to do so and understood our reasons. We did lots of walking and visited the cafe at Broadway Tower, well worth the walk! Plenty of walking to be done and cycling too, no bikes for us on this occasion. We would recommend the Indian restaurant in town, food was beautiful and good value for money.

Return to Broadway

First time back since we made Broadway our first ever stop in a motorhome 5 years ago. Excellent site and facilities with the added attraction of the Steam Railway which is a great day out. Plenty of walking in the area and places to eat and drink in the village although some are a bit pricey. The wardens are very friendly and helpful and facilities are kept immaculate despite the damp conditions. We won't leave it another 5 years before returning.

A lovely site but standards and costs escalating?

We have visited Broadway site many times and its our favourite on the network. Some years ago the goods shed toilets were refurbished on the top of the site, however they are now beginning to look tired with black mould around the sealant in the showers? The steam trains at the top of the site are an added bonus especially if you can get a pitch next to the goods shed as we did; but going to fill the water and empty the waste I discovered the tap / drain next to the goods shed is now blocked off and sealed over, this now necessities a walk to the lower level and a tug back uphill with your water barrels, annoying for me but could be a major issue for guests with mobility issues? Why have the wardens done this, a fellow camper said because cars are parked adjacent, but that does not seem a sensible reason for me! My biggest concern however is the cost of staying; this week along with all other club members, I received the email from the Clubthat pitch prices are again rising, not so long ago a stay at Broadway outside of high season was sub £20.00 but not anymore, prices have risen dramatically and the Service Pitches are now edging £40.00 per night and wifi is extra. I realise the club has to invest in the sites but prices of plus £30.00 per night outside of high season are becoming too expensive for me, many private sites are now more competitive and that can't be right? Maybe a step back to reflect is required by the club to review what they actually provide for what is now a lot of money?

Our 1st stay here

Our 1st stay at this open all year site. All you expect from a club site. More full than we expected which may reflect the NEC Motorhome & caravan show is in easy reach. Great location for exploring the area. all facilities good but the disabled room showed signs of wear and could do with some refurbishment to make top-notch.(main toilet block).

Peaceful site

Stayed at Broadway for just over a week in September 2019 and I have to say we couldn't fault the site. From the spacious pitches to the cleanliness of the toilets to the friendliness of the wardens, all was just spot on. The site is perfectly situated to access all of the lovely villages around the cotswolds and we would not hesitate to go back to this site again in the future.

Smashing

Our first visit and was well pleased. We had a serviced pitch and the only issue we had was that there was an occasional 'waft' of drain smells when we were sitting out in the grassed area. I know this was just waste water, not sewer water, but when your having a G n T and some 'Scooby Snacks' its a little off putting. Apart from that, excellent.

2nd visit didn’t disappoint

There is something special about a Caravan and motorhome club site - the welcome; the pitch; facilities; location. It’s all faultless at this site. We came to visit the railway for a few days, which makes the Broadway site even more appealing now that you can get a steam train(s) from Broadway to Cheltenham. Plus the village, with its Cotswold charm, lovely village pubs and a selection of shops... but why do they close so early? The welcome - terrific, which carried on for our time on site. The pitch - lovely, well maintained Facilities - first rate We will definitely come back here.

Images don't do it justice.

Broadway Site is easy to find and very accessible. No narrow windy roads to negotiate. Booking in was straightforward and there was a warm welcome. Despite being full we had a choice of pitches and they all seemed quite spacious with adequate room for vehicle, caravan and awning. Quite a lot of pleasant green areas and these would be lovely to sit out on if fortunate to choose the right pitch. The hairdriers are conviently situated so you are not inconveniencing others e.g on some sites they are right next to hand basins which can be a bit of a nuisance. Possibly the showers are beginning to look sightly tired but this is nit picking. There is road noise but it isn't particularly intrusive (and I hate road noise!). The walk along the road into Broadway is fine thought we enjoyed the back way on the public footpath where the dogs could have a little romp en route. I think it would be a good site if you use a mobility scooter as getting into Broadway would be easy on one going along the pavement. Broadway Tower circular walk was excellent. Yes it is a bit of a climb up but I am 65 and not particularly fit and it was fine. There are NO stiles to climb. Snowshill Manor is worth a visit but it isn't dog friendly. The circular walk is though and is really enjoyable. No stiles and on quite steep bit but again I managed it ok. The best ale is found at the The Crown and Trumpet and this is dog friendly and food good. So, what's not to like. I can't find anything. I quite enjoyed the steam trains trundling in and out of the station next door.

A sit I fell in love with immediately

We were here in July, when we started our 7 week trip in the UK and we returned in August. On our return the site was full, but amazingly quiet. This is a fantastic place in the beautiful Cotswolds. Unfortunately: as on all C&MC sites WIFI (I bought the year subscription) is bad!! And we couldn't use our Digital Disc. But we'll certainly return and hopefully those issues will be solved by then.
