Well situated for walks and sight seeing

The camp site is quite big, with plenty of variety regarding the types of pitches and their location on the site. For those who prefer to be away from the kiddie area there are plenty of pitches available and the water and waste facilities are all within easy reach of where ever you decide to pitch. There are camping areas for those who prefer to pitch a tent and the toilet/washing facilities are sufficient to cater for all at the site. The closing times for showering/toilet facilities are spot on and for those who prefer a late start, then you can still find one open before mid-day. The wardens are helpful and polite, but also invisible; a weird combination you might think, but when needed are there for you. The site is visited by a number of traders providing foodie options, however we did not make use of them so cannot comment on the value or quality of the service provided, but it did smell good. Brighton pier and town centre is but a 45 minute walk (not a hike but a comfortably paced walk) so there are plenty of things to do and loads of food/drink selling establishments. We have two dogs and found this option ideal for them and despite being there over the weekend of the Brighton marathon, we still managed a comfortable walk into town/pier. There are a number of new attractions available in Brighton and a few more being renovated, so if you fancy trying them out best check when they will be completed. The new slip wire run is due to be opened this summer and I'm sure will prove to be popular, however the large rotating wheel has been replaced by a very good looking and smelling fish & chip open air restaurant and looked to be very popular with those visiting Brighton. If you want more than a walk into Brighton and down to the beach, then there are plenty of other places to drive too, but we find that the walks and beach front provides more than a weeks worth of visiting. We would recommend Brighton to any of our members and we will no doubt be visiting Brighton again in the not too distant future.

Great Place

We spent 3 nights here after Easter. Our car/caravan combination is 13m x 2.5m and the approach road is a little tight with all the buses and vans parked up, you just have to keep your fingers crossed that another caravan doesn't come the other way. Very friendly welcome from the warden and first impressions were good, a large site which has obviously been well looked after and presented. Large pitches and very quiet at night. The toilet blocks are spotless after they have been cleaned but for some reason (and of no fault of the site) some visitors find themselves unable to flush the toilet, now I can put not using the toilet brush down to laziness but not flushing is just dirty (and weird). I think these days that any leisure facility should offer free wi-fi as standard. Brighton was great but parking is a nightmare, I paid £11 for 4 hours, daylight robbery.

It is what it is

Easter Break

Just spent 11 nights over Easter, fantastic site easy walking to buses and marina and sea front. The wardens were very friendly and helpful and worked very hard. The site and toilets were kept very clean. We would also like to thank fellow camper on pitch 70, who, due to sad news had to leave early, gave us their tickets for the Harlem Globetrotters on the Saturday 15th. It was a very excellent and entertaining show, which we thoroughly enjoyed!!!! Thank you so very much. Ann & Chris

Great Wardens

Excellent location, 15 minutes walk to bus, easy access and superbly helpful wardens, we had a problem with a missing water pump and they went out of their way to help. Good fund raising raffle too, for the RNLI, which we won too.

Returning yet again!

Always a pleasure to return to Brighton and this lovely site. Immaculate site and facilities, friendly staff and lovely quiet location. Improvement to access roads has been a huge step forward for the convenience of both arriving and leaving the site. Toilet block upgrades are great too..and as usual very clean and well maintained. No hesitation recommending this site for a relaxing stay whilst not being too far from the fun and entertainment element that Brighton has to offer.

Great site

1st time that we have visited this site and we were not disappointed. Picked a service pitch opposite the play area as we had our 2 granddaughters with us aged 7 & 9. Toilet & shower blocks were pristine and some of the nicest wardens we have met. The only downside, and this is getting more common with all sites, was that when we left at 11 there was a long queue of caravans & motor homes checking in which made it difficult negotiating the road away from the site, even though it clearly states not to arrive before 12.

A lovely base for exploring brighton

A bit of a late review but we stayed here in Feb for 6 nights. This site Is generally the expected for a caravan club site. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the facilities were immaculate. The site was very busy during the week that we stayed which was nice to see, this early on in the year! The only downside is the access through the park, which at times, can feel uncomfortable, especially if walking through at night. Overall, a highly recommended site which I would stay at again.

Hard Hard-standings

We have a great few days. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The facilities were very clean, even included BBC Radio2 in the loos. The site was kept very clean and tidy. The ONLY negative was the lack of grass pitches (I think due to re-seeding the grass), and so we had a Hard-standing, which was quite solid so each Awning Peg took 5 minutes to hammer in.

Wonderful site

We spent 4 nights at this camp. What a gem to have discovered, so easy to get around, the site wardens where so friendly, and the site is kept in tip top condition. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The site is situated at the far end of a park, which was great for dog walking, it is a very accessible site and not far from the Brighton Marina. Will definitely be going back to this site.

First time at this site

After looking at the weather forecast we decided to head south. We had never used this site before but it is a gem, hidden away but so close to seafront and centre of Brighton. The wardens were lovely always cheerful and helpful. Definitely recommend this site and hopefully we will be back.
