First time at this site

My husband, dog and I had 3 nights at the site, which was very well looked after by the onsite wardens, who were also very warm and welcoming. It is a very clean site except for the seagulls and foxes having overnight feasts in the bins, which tended to leave rather a mess around the toilet blocks in the morning, but it was cleaned up very quickly by the wardens. The site is very secluded, but is surrounded by football pitches and a park, which is great for dog walks and to get out for a stroll, but can be a little noisy in the evening if there are matches being played. The toilet block is up to the usual Caravan and Motorhome Club site standards. One small suggestion, would be to perhaps look at having a chair in the shower cubicles rather than a stool as for some more mature and less physically able, it tends to be a struggle with the low stool and drying themselves. However, having said that, the site is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brighton and there was plenty to do around Brighton itself. Would welcome everyone to this lovely site and we are definitely coming again.

Great site!

We stayed late March and were so impressed by the wardens friendliness and the good order of the site. The wardens gave excellent advice on any questions we asked. It's an easy walk to bus stops and the busses are frequent. There's lots to do and see in Brighton and around and about - great fun! Couldn't give it 5/5 for peace and quiet as next door there is a football pitch with very enthusiastic supporters! Didn't worry us, in fact it was rather fun but I could imagine some members want a tranquil site. Thanks we had a really good stay with you.

First timer in Brighton.

Booked 5 nights & unfortunately had to leave after 4 due to urgent call from home. Enjoyed my time there & will definitely return. Site very clean & tidy & toilet /shower blocks spotless. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. Used my electric bike to explore and travelled along the promenade and the undercliff which I enjoyed. Numerous restaurants with food from around the world in Preston St. Pity about the antisocial people on site on the Wed. night who had drums at high volume for hours. Ear plugs in and bed was only option. This was only problem and not the fault of Caravan Club.

Great time!!!

Spent 6 nights on the site, we will definitely return, friendly wardens, great location with walks or the bus into Brighton, marina is a short walk away with lots of restaurants. The road in is a little tight, we arrived about one o'clock on a Saturday, and it was packed with cars using the sports ground, but that's a small point as on weekdays it was very quiet. Overall, we had a great stay.

Good time

The site is well located for Brighton centre and the closer Marina. We were very lucky with the weather which made our walking into Brighton centre very pleasant along the seafront and great for coffee and beers at the Marina, watching the world go by. All in all, a great stay on a well kept and quite site. Will come again sometime.

another stay and another adventure...

I do like this site....I have a dog and the walk up on Sheepcote Valley is spectacular. 2 days ago we walked upon the ridge at Sheepcote Valley, this overlooks the site and has amazing views out to sea and over Brighton, suddenly a rolling mist came in from the sea and enveloped the whole of the valley...it was crazy..and difficult to find our way back down, but we managed it. I have finally found the Bus Station, which is really handy to get into Brighton as I have a Motorhome and rely on the buses. If you go out of the main entrance and through the park to the park gates, take the small residential road opposite the entrance and after a 2 minute walk you arrive at the Bus Station, buses 1 and 1A go into Brighton.

Another wonderful stay

Arrived for our friends 60th Birthday Celebration for 4 nights.Wardens very friendly - completely upfront about being new to the site. We wondered why an orientation visit hadn't been made with the outgoing wardens before the new wardens took over .Would help them learn some 'local ' knowledge. We didn't put up our awning - the hardstandings are very difficult to get the pegs in and as we were only there for a short break we didn't bother. Goodness knows how older caravanners manage to drive the pegs in. Shower blocks were usual high standard - loved the Radio 2 being on. Not many have Ken Bruce in the shower with them ! Our friend's daughter hired a camping pod - reported back that it was excellent. Bed comfy and pod was warm. At the time of our visit the major access road to the site ,Wilson Road was closed.A right turn out of park meant a steep climb to find the top of road was shut. Disastrous as not enough room to do a U turn with a caravan -car unit. Small sign on the reception door but no visible sign on exit gate of the site. Wardens apologised and explained the Council had omitted to tell the site so they weren't prepared with signage. Overall an excellent stay and we will be back in August.

Lovely weekend

We were visiting Brighton for an event at the Brighton Centre. This was our first visit to the site and we were very impressed. The staff were all friendly and helpful despite it being during the changeover period with a full site. We have already booked another visit later in the year!
