1st time that we have visited this site and we were not disappointed. Picked a service pitch opposite the play area as we had our 2 granddaughters with us aged 7 & 9. Toilet & shower blocks were pristine and some of the nicest wardens we have met.
The only downside, and this is getting more common with all sites, was that when we left at 11 there was a long queue of caravans & motor homes checking in which made it difficult negotiating the road away from the site, even though it clearly states not to arrive before 12.
A bit of a late review but we stayed here in Feb for 6 nights. This site Is generally the expected for a caravan club site. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the facilities were immaculate. The site was very busy during the week that we stayed which was nice to see, this early on in the year! The only downside is the access through the park, which at times, can feel uncomfortable, especially if walking through at night. Overall, a highly recommended site which I would stay at again.
We have a great few days.
The staff were very friendly and very helpful.
The facilities were very clean, even included BBC Radio2 in the loos.
The site was kept very clean and tidy.
The ONLY negative was the lack of grass pitches (I think due to re-seeding the grass), and so we had a Hard-standing, which was quite solid so each Awning Peg took 5 minutes to hammer in.
We spent 4 nights at this camp. What a gem to have discovered, so easy to get around, the site wardens where so friendly, and the site is kept in tip top condition. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The site is situated at the far end of a park, which was great for dog walking, it is a very accessible site and not far from the Brighton Marina. Will definitely be going back to this site.
After looking at the weather forecast we decided to head south. We had never used this site before but it is a gem, hidden away but so close to seafront and centre of Brighton. The wardens were lovely always cheerful and helpful. Definitely recommend this site and hopefully we will be back.
My husband, dog and I had 3 nights at the site, which was very well looked after by the onsite wardens, who were also very warm and welcoming. It is a very clean site except for the seagulls and foxes having overnight feasts in the bins, which tended to leave rather a mess around the toilet blocks in the morning, but it was cleaned up very quickly by the wardens.
The site is very secluded, but is surrounded by football pitches and a park, which is great for dog walks and to get out for a stroll, but can be a little noisy in the evening if there are matches being played.
The toilet block is up to the usual Caravan and Motorhome Club site standards. One small suggestion, would be to perhaps look at having a chair in the shower cubicles rather than a stool as for some more mature and less physically able, it tends to be a struggle with the low stool and drying themselves.
However, having said that, the site is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brighton and there was plenty to do around Brighton itself. Would welcome everyone to this lovely site and we are definitely coming again.
We stayed late March and were so impressed by the wardens friendliness and the good order of the site. The wardens gave excellent advice on any questions we asked. It's an easy walk to bus stops and the busses are frequent. There's lots to do and see in Brighton and around and about - great fun!
Couldn't give it 5/5 for peace and quiet as next door there is a football pitch with very enthusiastic supporters! Didn't worry us, in fact it was rather fun but I could imagine some members want a tranquil site.
Thanks we had a really good stay with you.
Booked 5 nights & unfortunately had to leave after 4 due to urgent call from home. Enjoyed my time there & will definitely return. Site very clean & tidy & toilet /shower blocks spotless. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. Used my electric bike to explore and travelled along the promenade and the undercliff which I enjoyed. Numerous restaurants with food from around the world in Preston St. Pity about the antisocial people on site on the Wed. night who had drums at high volume for hours. Ear plugs in and bed was only option. This was only problem and not the fault of Caravan Club.
