Spent 6 nights on the site, we will definitely return, friendly wardens, great location with walks or the bus into Brighton, marina is a short walk away with lots of restaurants.
The road in is a little tight, we arrived about one o'clock on a Saturday, and it was packed with cars using the sports ground, but that's a small point as on weekdays it was very quiet.
Overall, we had a great stay.
Good time
The site is well located for Brighton centre and the closer Marina. We were very lucky with the weather which made our walking into Brighton centre very pleasant along the seafront and great for coffee and beers at the Marina, watching the world go by. All in all, a great stay on a well kept and quite site. Will come again sometime.
another stay and another adventure...
I do like this site....I have a dog and the walk up on Sheepcote Valley is spectacular. 2 days ago we walked upon the ridge at Sheepcote Valley, this overlooks the site and has amazing views out to sea and over Brighton, suddenly a rolling mist came in from the sea and enveloped the whole of the valley...it was crazy..and difficult to find our way back down, but we managed it. I have finally found the Bus Station, which is really handy to get into Brighton as I have a Motorhome and rely on the buses. If you go out of the main entrance and through the park to the park gates, take the small residential road opposite the entrance and after a 2 minute walk you arrive at the Bus Station, buses 1 and 1A go into Brighton.
Another wonderful stay
Arrived for our friends 60th Birthday Celebration for 4 nights.Wardens very friendly - completely upfront about being new to the site. We wondered why an orientation visit hadn't been made with the outgoing wardens before the new wardens took over .Would help them learn some 'local ' knowledge.
We didn't put up our awning - the hardstandings are very difficult to get the pegs in and as we were only there for a short break we didn't bother.
Goodness knows how older caravanners manage to drive the pegs in.
Shower blocks were usual high standard - loved the Radio 2 being on. Not many have Ken Bruce in the shower with them !
Our friend's daughter hired a camping pod - reported back that it was excellent. Bed comfy and pod was warm.
At the time of our visit the major access road to the site ,Wilson Road was closed.A right turn out of park meant a steep climb to find the top of road was shut. Disastrous as not enough room to do a U turn with a caravan -car unit. Small sign on the reception door but no visible sign on exit gate of the site. Wardens apologised and explained the Council had omitted to tell the site so they weren't prepared with signage.
Overall an excellent stay and we will be back in August.

Lovely weekend
We were visiting Brighton for an event at the Brighton Centre. This was our first visit to the site and we were very impressed. The staff were all friendly and helpful despite it being during the changeover period with a full site.
We have already booked another visit later in the year!

Under rated site. Worth a visit
Our first visit to this site. Extremely impressed. Great pitches tidy site. Toilet blocks were spotless.
Town centre 3.2 miles walk (45 mins.) Buses just 10 mins walk from site. Don't take car into Brighton Car Parks are very expensive £ 3.60 for 1 hour or £11 for four hours is typical .Over that it goes up to £25/£30 over 6 hours.
The site is surrounded by football pitches which are floodlit and are used late in the evenings so be prepared for a fair bit of shouting. But inside your van you can hardly hear them.
The Marina is worth a visit only 15 mins walk or free parking for 4 hours , so many eating places its amazing and supermarket.
Drive east from site through beautiful countryside for some stunning views.
We will definitely go again.

Another lovely break.
This was our second trip to Brighton. It did not disappoint, and we enjoyed exploring on our electric bikes this time. We were pleasantly surprised by the cycle paths/lanes everywhere, along the seafront and particularly the lovely under-cliff footpath & cycleway from Rottingdean to Brighton Marina.
The only down side at the moment, is the constant pile-driving at the Marina, which is very, very noisy, and clearly audible from the caravan site. It's not clear how long it will be going on for, and I feel very sorry for the local residents & businesses.
We will be back, but not until the works at the Marina have finished!
Very good site
Top site in very good location.
15 mins to frequent buses or nice 40 min walk into brighton.
Easy dog walks on adjacent fields or walk 20 min to prom.
Facilities one if the best been too.
Pitches nicely spaced and large.
Nice Site.
Arrived at reception and made welcome. You are told to park on your pitch with the corner of your vehicle adjacent to the post at the back centre of the pitch. Some health and safety nonsense. Told to find a pitch with a white post and then return to reception and tell them which pitch you are on and then get an entry card for the barrier. Not ideal.
I would mention that the website for this site says it is full when it is not. Worth ringing to see if they do have space. I did tell the lady at reception this. She didn't seem interested.
It is a nice site with large pitches. The shower block was excellent. Very warm and lots of good clean facilities.
You can walk into Brighton from the site but it is a good two miles and takes about 35 minutes. You can walk down to the sea front/marina and then along the front all the way to Brighton. You can also walk a similar distance the other direction to Rottingdean. Good walks for dogs. You could cycle into Brighton. Personally I would avoid taking the car. Finding parking in Brighton is difficult and expensive.
There are plenty of pubs and restaurants within walking distance of the site.
On Saturday afternoon there was a football match at the stadium near the site. It was like South America with chanting, drums, trumpets and whistles. You may want to avoid Saturday afternoons on site.
Overall a nice site and would recommend it.
Weekend break
Arrived on a Friday night in the dark with 20 minutes or so to spare. Given a map and told to choose a pic with a white marker (they are all colour coded and numbered). In the pitch black this is almost impossible as the markers are situated at the rear of the pitch so we had to keep getting out to double check. The layout of the park is confusing and I would have liked a bit more assistance to find a space. When I went back to the office to advise of our pitch number at 8.20 it was all locked up. This meant we were unable to get a barrier card and leave the site that night, not the best start. The following morning we were given a card and although this didn't initially work, it was soon rectified. I get the impression that the park managers are relatively new to this site as it all seemed a bit chaotic.
The pitches are well spaced and the grounds and toilet block maintained and cleaned to a very high standard. Lots of hot water and a fitting where you don't have to keep pushing the button for it to work.
It is too far to walk into Brighton but 5 mins if that by car.
There was some noise on Saturday afternoon when there was a football match on the pitch next door to the site, this was mainly a drum beat and music.
We would return to this site.
