First visit to Brighton

Our very first trip out in our newly purchased Moho (Motorhome) and we wasn't disappointed, great pitches. We arrived end of January, cold and frosty. Site was extremely clean and kept tidy. Facilities were 5***** they were kept in superb conditions, warm and even had music playing.. Very helpful staff. Great walks.. super store nearby, will definitely go back

A little request!

Brighton is on our doorstep as we live in Crawley, it’s great for a weekend getaway! As with all the CAMC sites we’ve stayed at the facilities are second to none, great pitches, helpful staff, etc etc!!!! My one and only gripe is the lack of quality tv receptions, and even more so, chargeable Wi-fi??????? Come on guys!🤔😉

Great location Superbly kept facilities ( need water tap for late arrivals)

Have been here about a dozen times now over the years. Its always booked well in advance and for good reason. The facilities and grounds are always kept in tip top condition. Its close enough to town and marina to walk, just make sure you keep a little energy in reserve for the last 1/4 mile up the hill to the site. On our last visit we arrived at 9:30 pm so spent the night in late arrivals. We where welcomed by the warden and checked in first thing in the morning. My only gripe is there are no water taps close to this area to fill up with and even my 25m hose didn't reach the nearest tap which is an oversight? Perfect other than that for us.

Great Site (time for some ground works?)

As many others have said location here is the key, with easy access to the South Downs for walking, and Brighton itself a short bus ride (or for the more energetic, a walk along the sea front!). Not only for local people, there are also plenty of local shops nearby as well as a large ASDA in the Brighton Marina complex.

One innovation that should please many using this site, is that a new “dog area” has been established adjacent to the northern toilet block and fenced off from the children’s play area. Although not really a dog “walk” as such, this is an excellent idea as the distance from the furthest pitches on the site, to the entrance is considerable. Especially if you have an older animal, who may not be able to make it all the way to the fields outside the site without an “accident”. A positive development and one that should be applauded by all.

There is now the curious sight of large pitches marked as “without awning” and smaller pitches directly adjacent, being marked as “with awning”. Why is this ? Some of the pitches have become so compacted and hard, it is now very difficult and almost impossible in some cases to drive in awning pegs. So, if you’ve been used to going to a “favourite spot” at Brighton, you may find that it has been re-classified as “without awning”. By no means a major problem, but something to be aware of.

The site itself though very well maintained, is starting to show signs that after many years some ground work is now required. Don’t let that put you off though, Brighton is a great site, with brilliant, well kept and spotless facilities and very definitely well worth a visit.

Fantastic winter break

We spent a week at this site. Immaculately clean and tidy with fabulous friendly wardens. We had left our serviced pitch tap attachment in Devon but they came to our caravan with a spare for us to get set up. The wardens are very knowledgeable of the area. We were also very lucky with our weather. Great site in walking distance of marina. Short bus ride into Brighton centre. Fabulous dog walks directly from site. Dog friendly cafe called the laughing dog was amazing, another dog friendly pub in the marina was the Master Mariner We loved this site and would definitely recommend. Great work - well done!!!

Fantastic Xmas and amazing wardens

We stayed here from the 23/12 to 27/12/2018 . Wonderful peaceful site. The wardens were amazing so friendly and helpful and the site was immaculate. Even on Xmas morning they were out emptying the bins and checking the toilets. Unsung heroes! Thank you for all your hard work .

Lovely Winter Stay

A great site for families and for visiting Brighton. The toilet blocks are very clean, freindly wardens and a great playpark. It even has one of those post toilet waste tank emptiers that even ads more chemicals in for you - all for £2.00! Its also only a 10 min walk to the bus stop and a 10 min ride into town. As an improvement, can I suggest that the wardens place no smoking signs around the toilet block - I know this is obvious but we went to use the baby and toddler room to bath our two children on Saturday night and the previous person - an adult with no toddler kids ( we saw who you were!!! - had decided to have a cigarette and bath ... the baby room stank of cigarette smoke which, not only being illegal to smoke in a public space, is very unkind to non- smokers. We had to fumigate the room by leaving the door open before we used it. A simple no smoking sign might have stopped them! Thanks to the site team at Brighton, a great asset to the CMC.

Tenth Visit

The only complaint I have is the location of Serviced pitches 64, 65, 66. They are too close to the motorhome service point and the bins. Continual noise from MH and bins being used. Why do people have there engines running why they fill up with water and empty sewage?

Lovely Clean and Friendly Site

We visited at the beginning of November when the weather is not quite as pleasant, but this didn't matter at all. We were very impressed with the fact that there were two beautifully clean toilet blocks, one shut in the morning for cleaning, the other in the afternoon, so no need to use an emergency loo. Read other reviews and have to say that the site and the wardens are not at all to blame for caravanners allowing their dogs to foul, or for the flies, nor other things they have been blamed for. We found the staff friendly and helpful and thoroughly enjoyed our short break in the area. A caravan site is not a five star hotel and those who think it should be should perhaps think again about their holiday options!

Great site to Visit Brighton

This is a lovely clean site with a really good motorhome service point. It's only a 30 minute walk into Brighton and 10 minutes to the marina. The staff are always friendly and efficient. We use this site quite often ( for us). This time it was so we could visit the Lewes bonfire celebrations. A must see. Though we were quite surprised the staff there didn't know anything about it. The site is well laid out and the toilet block is spotless. You can easily shop at Lidl a 5 minute walk away. Just watch out for the very large pot holes near the park entrance on it's access road. It is worth pointing out that we had originally booked two nights online, which we later on decided to extend to three. When we attempted to amend this booking online, a message came up that the extra night was not available. My husband rang them directly and booked the extra night easily. In fact the site was no more than 50% full at this time of the year. It pays to ring the site directly if you have problems online.
