our second visit but not our last. great site helpful staff. it is busy so book but even when full it’s still a great site. site is well placed to visit Brighton with a variety of options to cover the short distance to the city centre and sea front. likewise well placed for the other great facilities that sussex has to offer. staff are very helpful and add to the visit. facilities clean modern and in excellent condition.
1st time visit
stayed for 2 weeks at this sight at Brighton we had a service pitch and was a little disappointed with the pitch as this was the only one left we didn't have a selection problem the only thing was the trees after 17.00 hrs the sun went behind the trees and it was cold although the rest of the site was bathed in sunshine it was cld where we were pitched but thats not the clubs fault i picked it my advise if you want sun don't have a serviced pitch other than that the site is good the wardens as you would expect were very hard working the area is nice very clean and showers spotless
Excellent Stay
Visiting friends and the site is very close to the Marina so easy to access. Site staff were very friendly and the site was very clean in all areas.
Never seen a chemical tank cleaning machine before so tried it, wonderful well worth the £2 rather than the manual disposal option.
Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay
Visited the site 7th - 10th June as we had tickets for Elton John. When we arrived we were informed of a music festival nearby. Very excited to hear the music but unfortunately was cancelled on the Saturday due to the weather. What we heard on Sunday was great and had all finished by 10pm so has no affect on our stay. The staff were very helpful and lovely to chat to and extremely clean toilet & shower blocks and despite the site being full didn't have to wait to shower in the morning.
Plenty of things to do nearby. Walked to Hove Cricket Ground and all along the seafront. Lovely to visit the Pier and had wonderful fish & chips in the Restaurant. Highly recommend the site and we will be visiting again, next time with the dog

Bank holiday weekend away
We’ve stayed at this site several times as it’s only an hour or so from home, the last being about five years ago, and handy for a rare weekend away. I’d booked tickets to see a show at the Brighton Centre, so we combined the two. We caught the bus into Brighton, then a taxi back to the gates after the show as the approach is very dark.
We received a very warm and friendly welcome from the lady assistant on our arrival. There were plenty of pitches to choose from on Friday afternoon, and we chose 78, with trees front and rear for a bit of shade, and facing the sun (when we had some) on the nearside during the day.
This area gave the impression of being on a much smaller site, whilst still close to facilities.
All the toilets/showers etc. were kept very clean, and I saw the block that’s serviced in the afternoon being checked and replenished in the morning by the wardens. In fact, the whole site was very well kept by the wardens, Matt and Gemma, and by their team of assistant wardens. Thank you all.
If you want to catch the Volk’s train to Brighton they depart Black Rock at 15 & 45 minutes past the hour, and return from the Sea Life Centre on the hour & 30 minutes past on the present timetable. Price for adults is £4.90 return.
The buses that run from outside the Marina to Old Steine are every few minutes, and a single fare is £2.60. Taxis (Hackney carriages) are between £8.50-£9.50 from the city centre to the site entrance.
Superb in every way!
Just back from our first stay at Brighton, it will not be our last I can assure you.
A large'ish site but cleverly split into sections that make the site very comfortable even when full.
We parked at the far end (109) & that was blissfully quiet, just be aware of the trees. Trees = birds = poop!
Facilities were as you would expect, spotless. Wardens never intrusive but were always around busying themselves & very pleasant to talk to. Site was immaculate & the wardens deserve all the credit they can get for that.
A few eating places we found:
Barley Mow on St George's Rd is a must, quaint old style pub that serves 'Pie-minster' pies to die for, all flavours with gravy, mushy peas & crispy shallots......oh boy, were they good!
'Marmalade' in Eastern Rd just up from Lidl. Cafe/coffee shop offering lovely coffee, homemade scones, cakes, sausage rolls, lunches, snacks the lot. Well worth finding, you won't be disappointed.
'Mollys' in Rottingdean, right beside the beach, ideal stop for a coffee & scone or other goodies.
If you fancy cycling, the 'cycle network' goes from the promenade for miles & miles, stop off for a coffee here & there, good exercise & great views.
Brighton is a gorgeous looking town & very enjoyable. Whatever you want I dare say Brighton can offer you, we'll all be going back to Brighton at some stage!

1st visit.
This was our first visit to this site. We have previously stayed at Littlehampton, visited Brighton and liked the town and the area, so decided to stay here. The site is lovely and although one of the larger sites and being pretty full, due to the layout, it never felt overcrowded, and felt spacious. The facilities are all to the usual high Club standard, with friendly, welcoming wardens. We got the bus into Brighton-a frequent service which drops off in the centre of town. However, after a long day of walking and shopping, that walk back to site seemed much longer than it had earlier in the morning!! We agreed a taxi back to site would have been a good idea! We also had a day out to Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters-what beatiful scenery, helped by warm sunny weather which meant visibility was excellent, so we had a lovely walk listening to the skylarks-fabulous. We then went onto Eastbourne, a lovely place to while away an hour watching the world go by. Parking is also very motorhome friendly, with 2 seafront car parks with no height barriers and also seafront parking available. On the way back, we stopped at Seaford-or at least we had hoped to! Don't bother if you are in a motorhome-all the seafront parking spaces, (of which there are hundreds!), have little signs saying "No motor caravans". So we took our business elsewhere. As we didn't have time to do all we wanted to, we will definitely return.
Great Location for visiting Brighton Area
This was our fist visit to this secluded site nestled in a dip in the downs just two miles from the centre of Brighton. The marina which has many shops and restaurants is within walking distance or there is a bus stop a short walk away with a frequent service..The hard working staff keep the site immaculate and the showers are always hot. All the usual facilities are provided. The motorhome service point near the exit has a drive-over waste drain which is very welcome. There is a Lidl supermarket about 10 mins walk away. The Brighton bus service is fantastic. Frequent and fast. We visited Lewes for the day by bus - brilliant. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.
Excellent site
Excellent site...well situated...good bus service v regular...showers v clean well maintained ( would like more hooks tho!)...would certainly stay again.
Can't be faulted
The site is really nice - in spite of its urban nature, it's a lovely, green site and you could believe you're in the countryside. It's extremely clean and tidy and the showers are not only hot, but easy to operate :-)
It's location is the best of all worlds, being walkable (if you like walking) into Brighton and over the hills and within easy driving distance of lots of nice places to visit (I recommend Shoreham-by-Sea for walks along the beach with the dogs (in April anyway) and looking at the crazy houseboats on the river bank.)
The staff at the site were great - friendly and helpful.
All in all we had a lovely week.
