A GREAT WEEKEND IN BRIGHTON

We stayed two nights on the Brighton Club Site and would thoroughly recommend it. The site is fantastically situated to the east of the town of Brighton within walking distance of the marina with numerous shops, bars and cafés. You can cycle easily along a flat cycle path into Brighton itself and the excellent bus service, with its nearest stop a 10 minute walk away, runs regularly night and day. There is also a great walk from the campsite up onto the Downs from where you can enjoy far-reaching views. The facilities on the site were super modern and clean with plenty of hot water and the office staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. In addition to this, the pitches were flat and spacious. This was our first day on a Caravan and Motorhome Club site and we would recommend it unreservedly.

Highly recommend

Spotless, friendly, peaceful, well organised site. The site is well maintained with not a weed in sight ..... I had the pleasure of using the shower blocks which is perfectly heated, the water temperature is just right and its a pleasure listening to the radio throughout the block even in the laundry room.... This was my first visit to a clubs site and Brighton did not disappoint. I highly recommend a visit....

All looking tired and worn

The site in general is looking very tired the pitches are overrun with weeds and the landscaping looks abandoned. The place needs a good clean and weeding. The toilet blocks where very cold when we was there over New Year. I hate to say this but it looks run down!

Satisfactory

Superbly amenable wardens. We were delayed by a couple of days due to car problem but it was no problem to them. Excellent site, superb facilities. Good access to Brighton, only thing I would say is that compared to other club sites, it seemed very expensive. Presumably that was due to time of year. Very quiet, lots of wildlife. Would recommend.

A Christmas Road Trip

Good location on outskirts of Brighton and within walking distance to the Marina and superstore Asda and other shops/cinema. On arrival pleasant staff to check in with but no information other provision of the site map provided, would have expected more as it was our 1st visit to the popular site. The pitches are of a good size and flat, its very difficult to peg into the hard standing ground as has been previously mentioned in other reviews. General good facilities on site, dog area is central but small but theres a large nearby park for the dogs and kids . The information room was good with information on local walks, take away delivery etc. There are some harsh comments in the visitors book about the site which were unfair, the wardens keep the place tidy so Id question guests more as every time we used the dish washing area we had to clean out the sinks and the ladies toilets... wow there are some nasty women out there who need to flush - look and flush again! Overall a good roadtrip over the festive period and a site we would go back to should we go to Brighton again.

Pleasantly Surprised

I have been to Brighton Club Site before but many years ago,and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised.Yes i was out of season and can imagine this site could get very busy at peak times. However even in October it was very busy.It is possible to walk into Brighton Marina for restaurants and pubs and an ASDA. Brighton in itself has a busy vibrant town centre with the Lanes to while away the shopping hours. The first week of my stay encountered very good weather meaning a stroll along the seafront was possible from the site.Parking is awful around Brighton so you could use the Volkes electric railway for a change to transport you into the town. My pitch did back onto Whitehawk football club so not sure what the noise evel would be when they play at home. All in all a very good site, with approachable warden team and handliy placed for Brighton and surrounds.

Great Stay

Location of site good for visiting Brighton & surrounding area. Site as expected well tended & shower blocks to the usual high standard. All wardens we met were very pleasant & helpful. The only downside was the noise from neighbours leaving at 06:00 leaving engine running & slamming doors & another who had obviously mislaid something & was slamming all lockers & door at 22:00, but you can get that anywhere. Recommended site & we will be returning

Excellent site.

An excellent site close to Brighton. Staff were very cheerful and they all seemed to be enjoying there work. The site is extremely clean. Will be staying there again. The only bad point was we had to leave.

Surprisingly peaceful

Spent the weekend on this site which was well maintained and considering how close to a city it is it’s peaceful. Large flat pitches spread over a number of different areas.
