Very accommodating staff

Walking distance to beautiful coastal walks and into Bridlington north bay. The showers have under floor heating, music playing and very clean. Staff very accommodating and always there to assist when required. The site does get water logged if parked at the bottom but the staff do make you aware of this when booking in.

Brilliant stay

We have just returned from spending a 9 night stay at this site. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here. The wardens were warm and welcoming and kept the site clean and tidy. The shower block was always spotless and the underfloor heating an asset. Music plays in the shower block so it affords some privavy when going to the loo and provides some entertainment. We travelled out each day to the local beaches and walked the dogs. You can also walk into Sewerby and Bridlington from the site. We had good meals at the Ship Inn, Sewerby. We also drove out to Hornsea to Freeport and the Mere. Visited Spurn Point, dogs aren't allowed on the tip but you can park at the carpark near the Bluebell cafe and walk along the beach.  We had great weather for almost all of the stay and will certainly be back here again. Loud bangs went off periodically from the surrounding areas which we decided might be a farmer's bird scarer for his crops.

It was also good to note that wherever we went there were public conveniences and they were clean.

Really lovely site

Stayed here for a week end of January. Really lovely well laid out site with good size hardstanding pitches. We were on a Serviced Pitch next to the toilet block which worked out well as the weather was not too kind that week. Toilet block was immaculate. Wardens were very helpful with good information about the surrounding area. Will definitely be going back.

Great stay

We arrived Friday 5th Feb for 2 nights. We have a serviced pitch which is great. The site is in a lovely location, about 1 mile from the very pretty village of sewerby. The toilet block is pristine and you can shower while listening to music because the radio is piped into the block, what a great touch. We have 2 Jack Russells and the dog walk area is fab, it's a large field where they can have a good run off lead. The weather has not been great but that's the risk when coming away in February I suppose. This site is lovely and sewerby is too, walk along the cliff top into Bridlington for some lovely scenery. We will definitely return to this site.

Disappointed

We arrived at the Bridlington (one of our favorite sites) on the 23rd December to stay for Christmas and New Year. When checking in I noticed that the shop was completely empty of everything; no milk, bread, eggs etc – the basics. I asked the warden what was happening and she said that there were only 2 of them running the site and they would be leaving on Sunday, so had to clear the shop?? We have a caravan and always bring enough essentials, but I know motor home people rely on this facility. It does say in the site details as a shop is in reception. The nearest shop is at least 1 ½ mile away. There wasn’t much sign of Christmas either, no decorations, lights etc. the wardens were very nice and apologetic but said that the Club was running a trial of only having 2 wardens?? I don’t blame the wardens at all, they as always were pleasant and helpful, but don’t think this is fair on the staff or members, we are paying top rate at this time of year and not getting top service. We specifically booked at Bridlington site as I had heard that the wardens open up the garage on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve for a get together, of course this didn’t happen. I know this is up to the wardens and they do this out of their own goodness, but again we lose out. A number of members on the site were complaining too and had planned on this happening. Having said all of this it is an excellent site, spotless (due to hard work of only 2 wardens) and great for all of the beautiful Yorkshire coast

Had a fantastic holiday

This a truly fantastic site with facilities that are hard to beat. The toilet blocks are spotless and the underfloor heating is a welcome pleasure on cold days. Plenty to do in the ara and all within close proximity. We pitched up right next to the children's play area and dog walk and our 4 year old grandsons and 2 dogs had a fantastic time - the boys in the park and the dogs on the dog walk. A perfect long weekend away and we will definitely return. Lovely friendly wardens made it a perfect holiday.

Excellent Site

Arrived on a cold windy Friday for a 2 night weekend stay. Welcome from warden was friendly and efficient. Pitches are all hard standing, all good sizes and well laid out. Toilet block is 5 star, spotless and very well heated. Only slight downside was noise from an adjacent mill, which was a little intrusive at times especially at night, but this is out of the wardens control. Site is well situated for all of the resorts along this coast, as well as for visits to York, Beverley, etc Great site in a great location.

Great time heree

I enjoyed a stay here last week - although its a pity some attractions like Burton Agnes Hall have already closed. Site was great wardens friendly - and dogs happy with the dog walk. As someone else said there were a few flies - about the most I have had this year. I am not a lover of Radio 2 in the shower block especially when the reception was terrible and it sounded like an old tinny tranny - but someone may enjoy it and I don't spend long in there anyway! Perhaps there should be a vote for our favourite channel? I would go for Classic FM - or nothing at all.
