Excellent Long Weekend

Arrived on site to a very warm reception by Wardens, who we found to be most pleasant on all our encounters with them through the weekend - thank you! Site was well kept and the facilities kept clean (they even have the radio playing in the toilet blocks, which is nice!) Nice to see them being fairly strict with people arriving before 12, keeping the office closed!  A slight negative for such a new site (and nothing to do with the wardens) is that corporate still seem to, in my opinion, be getting the balance of toilets to wash sinks wrong.  Kids loved the play area which had lots of great equipment! Only downside was the number of flies and we live near cattle farms at home so are quite used to them - again, nothing really to do with the site, but worth a mention.  Great little site - we will be back - Thanks!

Great for Bridlington and Flamborough Head.

This site is close to Bridlington and Flamborough Head, more or less midway between both.  Buses stop right outside the site and go to both places.  The site is up to the usual high level provided by the club and staff of an equal high level, cant fault it. As I have a  motor home I find many places do not cater for the parking of motor homes well no such problem at Flamborough North and Flamborough Head, ample parking and reasonable fees. Flamborough Head is well worth a visit albeit the migration of the birds which is a big attraction begin in April and the majority leave by the end of July so missed this.  A nice restaurant adjacent to the lighthouse. I recommend when in Bridlington doing the two and a quarter hour cruise on the Yorkshire Belle it takes you to Flamborough and with a running commentry very enjoyable and at £8 for OAP and £10 for adults good value. I caught the bus into Bridlington so cant comment on parking there but believe it to a problem for motor homes, so get your free bus passes out and take that option is my recommendation.

Excellent site.

The site was lovely, facilities clean, location great - all perfect. Our weekend there did throw up a "rules" issue for us though unfortunately. We usually travel as a couple but as we had children with us this time we asked if we could have a late depart of a couple of hours and were told no for two reasons, firstly because we were on a popular pitch (so popular it was one of the last 3 on Friday when we arrived after 6, although I accept this can happen) and secondly that more were arriving on Sunday than leaving - well this was not backed up by the online system which showed the site as full on Saturday and having spaces on Sunday! We didn't know whether to assume something was wrong with the booking system or feel lied to. Then on Sunday when we were hooking up to leave at quarter to 12 there was someone hovering and waiting for us to go so obviously early arrivals are tolerated and late departs rejected. All in all we felt very unwelcome and thoroughly kicked off. I am discovering that the weekend Caravanner seems to be discriminated against in this club, I know it is a long running topic so I won't go into it here, but be aware this site is full popular and busy so you wont get a late depart if our experience is anything to go by and a weekender will have to pay for 3 days if they want to have 2 days!

Beautiful Brid

Great site. Easy access (we used M62/A614 to avoid Garrowby Hill). Large pitches, very level due to tiered landscaping. Upper part of site seemed windier, lower part more sheltered but a longer trek to facilities. Very nice shower block but not super powerful showers, extremely well kept and spotless, great wardens. Nice play area, much enjoyed by our visiting family sprogs. A few miles out of Brid itself. Fish and chips at 149 were scrumptious, best in ages! We hired a beach chalet for the week from East Riding Council for that classic British seaside holiday experience. Highly recommended as beaches are superb.

Re parking in Brid: free next to bowling green and non-seaward side of road above Princess Mary Promende. We used South Cliff: £3.50 all day at park and ride with unlimited Land Train and bus included for up to 7 people. Bargain.

Respect?

We've been coming to this site since it opened and love it generally. Current warden teams are great - best I've seen, site is always spotless, and the location is perfect for us. Only problem we are increasingly encountering is people showing a complete disrespect for others by regularly and frequently cutting across, cycling across, and playing on pitches that are not there's - adults and children. Don't get me wrong I have absolutely no issue with children being children, but on two separate occasions this weekend we have had two different groups of children attempting to force their bikes behind our motor home or running back and forth across our pitch - sorry but absolutely not acceptable. The CC rules are perfectly clear - please read them and control your children.

Fantastic site

Just returned from short break and found the shower block fantastic with underfloor heating and music playing wish all sites had the same setup. Only down side was you couldn't get direct access to the beach and we had to use the car to get around. Also Bridlington charging for parking everywhere , overall a good experience.

Should have stayed longer

We only stayed 4 nights but wished we had stayed longer.  The welcome was excellent and the site first class.  Used as a base to visit surrounding areas. we will be returning.

Wonderfull

where do I start, the wardens are so friendly and helpful. The site itself is first class. The dog walk or field is great. Toilets first class good sizes showers. If you enjoy good food try Leoz in Bridlington for Greek food very good value. We will most definitely be back. One of the best kept sites we have visited.

The Perfect Site

This is our favourite site, the wardens are so helpful and friendly, the toilet block is great, underfloor heating, and music while you shower, easy acsess into Bridlington, and the dogs love the run on the beach from sewby into the town. There are some lovely pubs in Flamborough, the Sea Birds Inn, is a must for a meal, although a little expensive. We are booked in this site again for August and November.
