LOVELY!

We do love this site!  There are new wardens this year who were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for them.  The facilities block was pristine, the music was very welcome and the heated floor just perfect.  We stayed on the "middle" section again which we find is the easiest to access all areas of the site.  The new planting has really grown and provides nice bits of screening in some areas.  The reason I have marked down the "good for families" section is that although there is a small playground, there isn't much for children to do on site.  There are no grass areas as all the pitches are large hard standings.  We walked to the beach through the golf club grounds (the wardens give you a map) and caught the land train from Sewerby Hall into Bridlington.  One of the highlights of our trip was a cruise on the Yorkshire Belle which was just brilliant.  We went up to Flamborough Cliffs and saw at very close hand, thousands of seabirds swooping and diving overhead.  For £6.50 per person, this is amazing value.  A must see is Bondville Model Village on the cliffs at Sewerby which is such an enchanting place.  There are so many walks and places to visit from this beautiful site, you'll be spoilt for choice.  A gem in the Caravan Club's crown.  Can't wait to go back!

Super site

Excellent site with probably the hardest working wardens we have ever seen. It was a privilege to see how much work the staff were doing everyday to improve an already outstanding site. The beach is only about a mile away and other facilities such as the Coop shop and excellent fish and chip shop about the same distance. We could not have enjoyed our 10 days more and will be back soon.

SO CONVENIENT FOR EVERYTHING

A lovely site, with really great wardens. The site has a small shop, which is really useful as there is not a smallish shop nearby. This site is a MUST for birdwatchers, not only Bempton Cliffs, but go to Flanborough Head as well and take a walk near the lighthouse. There were corn buntings, meadow pipits, skylarks and linnets. Also good for birds is Dane's Dyke. All these places are less than about 5 miles from the site. A great place to visit with great Wardens.

A Good Site

We have just spent 5 nights at this very good site. There is a bus stop by the site entrance for buses to Flamborough Head ( for Bempton cliffs walk) or Bridlington and beyond. Some nice walks from the golf club along the coast to Bridlington (about an hour) or in the other direction to South Landing annd the Lighthouse further round the coast.Local eateries can be found within 10/15 minute walk from the site. The Martonian pub does perfectly acceptable food as does the local farm shop, the golf club also provides a restaurant, though we didn't actually make it to sample this time.We will certainly be going back to this site ,hopefully in the autumn.Well worth the trip. Thankyou to wardens, very friendly and very helpful. The facilities were kept spotless, and the underfloor heating. Hardly worth taking a towel to the shower !!

East Coast Delight

Our second visit to the site-new assistant warden we had met on another cc site last season was excellent-friendly,welcoming and helpful. The site has improved as the planting areas are maturing and feels less raw that when it first opened-excellent bus links open up the whole of the east coast and beyond.Underfloor heating in the showers felt luxurious on cold evenings-dog walk was very muddy but theres been a lot of rain!!and theres plenty of alternatives. Pitches are level and very spacious and always full-we noticed a planning application tied to the bus stop for a further 80 pitches at this site which hopefully means it wont be so difficult to get on in the future.A great site for exploring all the east coast gems.

Brilliant Location

Excellent location with brilliant coastal walks with fabulous scenery. A walk through the grounds of the golf club brings you to the North Bay of Bridlington. Facilities of the site are of a very high standard as heating flooring to the showers and music constantly playing. Possible flooding to the lower ground of the site but staff do inform you when booking in. All new staff and very helpful.

1st stay at a Club Site

Stayed here for 5 nights during the second week of the Easter break.  Very friendly welcome by the staff who explained the procedure, as this is my first stay at a club site.  Pitches are fairly level and reasonably spaced.  As this appears to be a fairly new site, the trees within the three sections are young, and it makes the site feel sparse and a little characterless.  Alas, the children's play area was closed due to the grassed areas having been turned to mud in the first week of the Easter holiday. This was a huge disappointment for us, as my two boys had no where to play or knock a football about without being scowled at by other caravaners. Not sure if there is a drainage issue at the site, as all the grassed areas were very wet. Could have done with wellies for the dog in the dog walk section!! As mentioned by others, the bird scarer bangs become increasingly annoying and spoil the peace and quiet of the site.  On the plus side, the toilet, shower and laundry facilities are superb, spotlessly clean, spacious and warm.  The showers are warm with underfloor heating that is lovely and toasty on bare feet. I used the disabled one which felt like a power shower!  It's a ten minutes drive to the nearest shop, a Co-op, and 10 mins in the other direction to Flamborough Head. A walk down to the sea via Danes Beck  (off the B1255) is highly recommended.  Looking forward to trying other Club Sites so i can see what others have to offer too.  But, so far, I prefer the three CL sites I have stayed at.

could be better

Stayed here for 4 days leading up to Easter. Overall it's in a nice location, off the road & quiet ( but for the bird scaring canon starting from 7 am ). The wardens are great & the facilities spotless, but I can't understand why there is no pathway from the top of the first section to the toilet block ? If you pitch here you will be less than 15 yards from the block with just a hedge in the way, but have to walk over 200 yards to reach it. Badly planned in my view - so be warned.

Easter weekend

We have just had Easter weekend at this site. The wardens were some of the friendliest we have come across in several years of using the caravan club. The site is spotless and is a credit to the wardens. Yes it is a walk into Bridlington but there is a train from sewerby park you can get on. A good park for the children to play on. Well worth a visit.
