Very friendly site, beautifully maintained, peaceful and quiet and great to just chill out at. Weather was atrrociuos but can't blame anyone for that. Great facilities for motorhomes. There isn't a shower block - didn't bother us in the slightest but guess I have to knock a star off for that. The facilities that are there are spotlessly clean.
A hidden gem!
Have just brought the caravan back home after a part seasonal pitch stay at this beautiful site.
We have been fortunate to spend many long weekend since September exploring this fantastic area and discovering many great walks and local hostelries!
Not usually a fan of club sites, preferring quieter CL's, Bourton on the Water is an exception to my rule. The site is well kept with some lovely grass pitches (which I prefer), immaculate facilities and friendly helpful wardens. Kate and Bob kept the site beautifully tidy and were approachable if ever we had any queries.
We are looking forward to a return when the site opens again next season.
Peaceful site centrally located in the Cotswolds
We stayed on the site for a week in early October 2017. We selected a hard standing pitch as the warden advised grass pitches were rather damp due to recent rain. The site is very rural and peaceful. The site is very well maintained with lush well kept lawns. The wardens were very helpful and friendly. Long distance views are not available on most pitches as the site is located on the site of the former Notgrove railway station in a cutting. However this was advantageous in October as pitches are sheltered from strong winds. It would have been helpful having signs on the Bourton/Cheltenham road at least 100Metres either side of the entrance as it is easy to miss. The site is located near the charming Cotswold villages of Bourton on the Water and Upper/Lower Slaughter. There are several Interesting National Trust properties within a 20 mile radius. Also Sudeley Castle is an interesting day out (resting place of Katherine Parr). Cheltenham is a 10 mile drive for larger shops and the Everyman Theatre.
Fantastic peaceful Site.
A Site on the 'roof' of the Cotswolds that is so peaceful you'd be hard pushed to beat it anywhere. It's a real anachronism - only a few miles from one of the busiest villages and the conurbations of Cheltenham and Gloucester - yet you have a gem of rural beauty. The flora and fauna compliments this amazing Site.
Sometimes we all deserve a bolt hole to escape the pace of society and this is it!
Quiet and well maintained
Lovely site if you prefer small and peaceful sites and are not concerned about lack of facilities, which doesn't worry us as we prefer to use our own at this time of the year( early October). The wardens were wonderful -very friendly and helpful.
We only booked for 2 nights as a stop over between Dorset and home but stayed for 3.
Would certainly stay on this site again if passing through the Cotswolds.
A wonderful site for exploring the Cotswolds
Situated on an old closed branch line railway track, the site is very quiet and peaceful and well maintained. The wardens, Lyn and her partner (who's name I don't know) were very friendly and helpful. This site was perfect for us - we will return.

Lovely Site For Caravanners...
Spent two nights here in September. As motorhomers and dog owners, we like to be able to walk from sites & use public transport. As such, this site is totally unsuitable. The site is situated on the A436 about 5 miles outside Bourton on the Water. The road is far to busy & fast to walk along safely. There is a bus to Bourton but only 3 times a day at 12:15, 14:15 & 16:45 returning at 12:55 & 14:30 allowing a maximum of less than 2 hours in Bourton. We started to walk to Bourton along footpaths a distance of about 7 miles but about half way there it became very muddy so a quick rethink later and we were at The Black Horse at Naunton and then The Hollow Bottom at Guiting Power, both of which we can recommend. The site itself is beautifully maintained & the temporary wardens were lovely and helpful photocopying walks for us. Unfortunately in our opinion it's really only suitable for Caravanners or motorhomers who are prepared to take their motorhome out every day.
Quiet basic site with great views
The site is well maintined and the welcome friendly. There are a choice of pitches and plenty of water and waste points. Helpfull staff and plenty of info on surrounding area.
Great site for exploring the Cotswolds. Easy access and very quiet.
Shame about the length of the grass
We love this peaceful and quiet site and this was the second time we have stayed at Bourton on Water. We have just returned from our latest stay in August 2017 and although we enjoyed our stay on the whole, we were a little disappointed that the grass was left too long. We arrived mid week when the site was quiet so I would have thought it would have been an ideal time to cut the grass. We stayed 5 nights and by the time we left the clover and dandelions were in flower. Not what you would expect from a caravan club site but still a great little site.

We love this site
Ideally situated for the most varied type of holiday activity (or none, should one so choose), this site is, we feel, perfect for mature couples with their own WC and shower, as there is none on site. We are unlikely to run out of walks or places to visit as there is a wonderfully rich diversity of things to see and do in the area. Our second visit to the site was as pleasing as the first, and we will definitely be using it again.
