great for walking
We visit this site every September as this area of the peak district is really fantastic for walking. from the site you can walk up onto, 'the Roaches' which is just stunning. I can honestly say it's my favourite walk in the UK, the views are unbelievable. You can also do walks around Tittesworth reservoir, Rudyard lake, Luds church and up onto Blackshaw moor itself.
The staff on site are always very friendly, yes, you check in from the outside of the office through the window due to Covid but I honestly can't see why this is an issue and why someone had a problem with it.
We used our own facilities so can't comment on the cleanliness of the shower block.
The three horseshoes pub nearby is lovely though we didn't eat there this time but they have a lovely beer garden with great views. All food and drinks were ordered via their app at the moment.
Some grass around our pitch was rather long which, as it had been wet, was a bit of a pain when walking around the edge to get in the car but mostly on site all of the other grass had been cut.
we shall certainly be back next year
