A wet weekend away!!

A long weekend away in rural Staffordshire.... unfortunately the weather was not at its best, BUT the site had a laundry and drying room to ensure our walking gear was clean and dry.... plentiful hot water in the very modern, beautifully clean washrooms. There is also a pot washing area enclosed to the elements. Emma and John (the wardens) and the assistant wardens were welcoming, professional and informative about the area, walks, places to eat and shops within the vicinity, as well as suitable parking places for the motorhome. Would definitely recommend a visit and will be returning ourselves!!

Great site highly recommended

Just left Oct 1st after 8 night stay pitch #70 Despite rain most days fully enjoyed ourselves We have stayed here many times and never had any issues The wardens and assistant wardens could not be better, helpful and very pleasant . Dog walk onsite very good and the addition of a dog wash facility made things so much easier in the awning with just a wipe down of feet required keeping everywhere clean Location near the water park great and the Cafe & shop really nice, great dog walks and family areas. We used the disable toilets which like everywhere was immaculate . Will visit again

Lovely Site with Great Wardens

After a very friendly and informative welcome by Keith and Tracey, who are always willing, to go the extra mile to make members stays more enjoyable. We pitched at the top of the site because the main road can be a bit noisy at times, but was not to disturbing for us. The site is very well kept and we had a lovely walk around Tittersworth reservoir. Keith and Tracey are a credit to the Club and we look forward to visiting them on another site in the future. .

A very Peaceful Wifes Birthday Week End

We have stayed on some very nice sites over the years but this one is definitely one of the best. the wardens are super friendly and helpful the site is very clean and tidy, yes it is on a main road but we were far enough away from it not to be a problem. There was a music festival on the Saturday night with loud music on until late BUT it wasn't a problem for us as we sat outside the caravan with a few beers and listened to the music. We will be staying there again and will make it one of our favourite go to sites for a short weekend.

Peaceful Break

Our first visit to the site - we parked our MH in the centre pitches to avoid the main road and the noise did not bother us. Nice little site, good facilities, drying room very useful! We choose here for walking, but the weather was not in our favour and we did not get to walk up to the Roaches as we felt the main road was too busy to go up. We did get to walk round the reservoir which was lovely and stopped at the last trout Pub in the little village next to it. The maps provided in reception were not easy to follow and put us off going further a field on an adventure. We also walked into Leek - there is a footpath next to the road - bit overgrown in places but at least you are off the road - took us about an hour.

Great site, great wardens

Been a member of Caravan Club for 7 years and this is the first review I have left. Not because I have been in any way disappointed by previous sites, exactly the opposite but because what makes me say I will definitely be back to this site is the wardens, Keith and Tracy. Friendly and helpful as most wardens are but the difference came on the morning when we were leaving - or trying to leave. Car problems meant we had to call the AA, but having told Keith we may have to stay a bit late and why, Keith and Tracy's heads went together to try to work out who was on site who could help us, while still cleaning and booking in new arrivals. Sorted, AA cancelled and delay minimised. Many thanks to Keith and Tracy for saving our bank holiday Monday.

small well kept site

lovely clean small site , I would imagine the shower block would get busy if the site was full as there are limited facilities , the wardens are very friendly and very accomadating and my little girl especially enjoyed the treasure hunt on site with the reward of a small prize at the end , at the front of the site I believe the main road can be a bit noisy but as we were on the back / top of the site it was barley noticeable my wife enjoyed the herb pot by the reception and i enjoyed her cooking with them , overall a lovely relaxing break and would definitely recommend it to our friends

Good location for walking

This site provides a great base for walking in southern Peak District and surrounding areas. Yes, the road is noisy but you soon tune that out. Pitched in the lower level which was left uncrowded probably due to comments in other reviews. Staff here were very friendly and helpful with with pitching and local information. Facilities clean and tidy. Staff spending lots of time on the maintenance of the grounds which I imagine must feel like painting the Forth Bridge! A very welcoming site I would recommend to those wishing to explore the great outdoors.
