Brilliant Wardens!

Stayed here at the end of July start of August. Fantastically clean and tidy and very well organised. The wardens (all four of them ) were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and the Saturday evening chip van coincided with the Princes Trust charity night, what a laugh! This club site (like all) really just needs to add a little bit more for the kids. Would really stay there again if we go up North again.

Friendly staff

Thanks to the staff who were very friendly during our stay at Blackshaw Moor. The facilities are dated but were very clean. There were only two showers in the upper block which is not a lot but all in all they were adequate. Nice little play park for the kids and excellent attitude from the staff. There were a lot of empty pitches on this site given that we were there in August during the School holidays. Thanks again

it was like staying in someone's garden!

Blackshaw moor had large pitches which were separated by either well maintained beech hedges or in a small circle of 4/5 pitches. These had well maintained and interesting garden sections with either a bird table or ornament or some interesting plants to make a homely and welcoming display.. The standard of the plants, hanging baskets and features showed that the managers loved the place and had done everything to make it welcoming and interesting. The facilities were spotless and the showers better than my own at home! I must admit to being a new caravanner, so haven't got much to base this on, but certainly having had a narrowboat in the past and stayed at various marinas, the caravan club could teach British waterways a thing or two! keep up the good work and many thanks to all the staff for such a lovely holiday.

A good site

We had a relaxing stay here and were able to choose our own pitch.  A well maintained site with good facilities.  The perimeter dog walk area was ideal for our dog.  The nearby Three Horse Shoes Inn has a fabulous beer garden with excellent countryside views.

Its the first time we have been to this site. A lovely site well kept, clean and tidy. The staff were excellent full of smiles with a can do attitude. We will certainly be back.

Needed somewhere near Stoke and found Blackshaw - Perect!

We just needed somewhere near to Stoke and found this one - what a lovely little site.  The location, the staff and the whole site are first class. Our only mistake was to pitch near the top set of toilets and the extractor fan could be heard all night long.  Otherwise the site was ideal and would also suit families touring the area.  I have no problem in recommending it to everyone.

Love this site

Stayed here for 5 nights from 5th Aug. we read all the reviews before we booked it and were intrigued to find out if it was as good as others have said it is. The answer is YES it is as good as they say. The staff are brilliant very helpful and friendly. The site is is extremely well kept with lovely touches of flowers and ornaments everywhere. Pitches are good with some having little hedges between them. The toilet blocks are spotless and there is a good playground for the children. This is a gem of a site and easy to get to with it being on the A53 just a few miles from Leek itself. Will definitely be back to this one as its only 40 miles from us and will bring our dogs next time to enjoy the walks around there.
