A very good site. The toilet block has been updated to a very, very good standard. The pitches are of a very good size - accommodating twin axles well. The children's play area is very good.
The site is situated in an excellent place for people who enjoy walking.
This is our second season touring and this is definately one of the best sites we've been on. The staff, both couples, were very friendly and welcoming constantly working about the site. I will definately recommend this site to friends.
This is a local site for me, and as such it can easily be overlooked, it was a pleasant surprise to me, warm welcoming staff who keep the place spotless. It is adjacent to the main Buxton Rd so there is some road noise, this did not cause me any problems personally, a site I will revisit. The town of Leek and open countryside are nearby.
I understand that all caravan club sites are of a good standard but this one certainly exceeded my expectations everywhere was spotless including the pitches, the staff were wonderful, friendly, and accommodating what more can I say well done to all
we have just spent 3 peaceful days at this site on a service pitch, could not wish for a better site, my wife and I plus our little dog enjoyed it so much we will definately return, the wardens are great and the surrounding area and reservoir is beautiful,

We loved our stay last weekend. The site is immaculately kept, the facilities are also imaculate . the warderns were fantastic with our daughter who also enjoyed the playground and Saturday night fish and chips as well as the colouring competition and tombola. We walked up and around the roaches and the reservoir which was beautiful. We will definitely go back
Had a fantastic week here. Clean and well kept areas.Loo block although small was clean and tidy. The area is fabulous with wonderful views wherever you went. We stayed on the higher level as i understand it is quite noisy near the road. But we had no problems there. The Lazy Trout is worth a visit (being dog friendly helped) and the food was very reasonable and very tasty.
What can i say about the wardens? well i have never known such helpful, friendly and cheerful wardens. My husband had a heart attack on the day we were due to leave (he is on the mend now) the wardens were kindness personified. They looked after Maisie our springer, whilst i went to the hospital and she found a boyfriend in Chester the welsh springer. We have both said we would love to return at some stage as the area is not crowded and the people are very welcoming. Keep up the good work Sheila & Anthony and Perry & Marie. Long may you reign.
A first time for us ( mid July) and we were really impressed with the friendly and hardworking wardens who presented this site beautifully. Well done to the ladies mucking in with all the chores including cutting grass and driving the tractors as well as their "usual" duties in the reception.
If I have any criticism of the site , which incidentally applies to other CC sites, pitches seemed to becoming more hemmed in, in this case the higher hill side pitches, but otherwise a top class site and well run
We have just had a really great weekend break at blackshaw moor. From the moment we arrived to driving back out under the barrier as we left there was nothing to fault.
We have two young children (4 & 6) who were made to feel so welcome and involved by all four of the wardens in the fund raising activities for the Princes countryside fund.. Even as the wardens worked (extremely hard to ensure the site is maintained in such a beautiful way) they still had time to stop and talk to ask the children if they were having a good time. I had to laugh this morning listening to one of the wardens singing Nelly the elephant as he cleaned the toilets. Sorry we never took note of your names but we will be back in August for the prom. The chip van on a Saturday night is great but be prepared to queue (its worth the wait)
